i dont know if you WANT soup, but i made my own recipe for a creamy tomato/basil soup, and the recipe i use serves about 6? [like, put it this way, my dad, his gf and i al had TWO bowls at dinner and there was still some left over] so if you'd like that, just message me and i'll be happy to send it your way [its already written out because my dad wanted the recipe. if you make it the day before it should be fine. just put it back on a boiler. and its really cheap.] i'd say the 6ish serving is about... $10 tops.  but i'm sure you can go to a costco or something and get bigger cans or a better deal.

/ramble.

message if you'd like it, haha.

Oh boy...let's see.

There was the time I did the lemonaide fast...gained it all back.

Weight watchers...probably lost about 10 pounds but I wasn't faithful to it.

No carb diet...lost about 20 pounds but gained it all back and then some!

One year I was actually on the right track by eating less and exercising but since it was by accident I didn't stick with it. Gained it all back plus.

Lots of times I've been excited about a diet, did it for about a week and then realized...hey, this might make me put forth an effort to see results. *doh*

This time I'm doing it right! It doesn't matter this time if someone else is with me on it or if I have a walking partner, or if it's a quick fix. This time I'm doing it for me to be healthy and happier. I'm tired of being miserable and the self-loathing I feel everytime I look in the mirror. I'm finally READY to do this as a life style change. This time is for keeps. Wink

the master cleanse isn't a diet. you lose weight because you're cleaning out your body. what was your diet like after? how many days were you on it? did you stay completely true to it? and how much did you lose?

sorry for the immense amount of questions... but i'm doing it now. i have a friend who did it and dropped from a 38 to a 30... including diet and exercise after the cleanse.

i'm on it now, and for me its going to be a new beginning. a fresh start, fresh palette, toxins cleared, etc. you can't treat it as the diet to end all diets and not follow it up... you really need to treat it right.

i'd really appreciate it if you could answer my questions. thanks in advance!

as for me, this is my first serious attempt. i guess i never saw a problem... a lot of people tell me i look fine, but i think i have some weight to lose.

before i started the cleanse, i changed my diet and dropped 7 pounds. today was day two, and in day one i lost a pound and a half. the norm is gaining back like half your weight once its over, so i'm prepared for that... but i'm going to try to stick to a good diet (and use CC!) and keep everything as low as i can. i'm not going to be unrealistic, i just need to start to looking at alternatives of GOOD food to eat when i'm off of this.

Well...your right, it's a cleanse. Smile I thought of it as a diet though because it's supposed to help you lose a lot of weight very quickly. My brother did it for a long time and got me going on it for awhile. I probably didn't really give it a chance to be honest. I think I tried it for about 2 weeks. But I was constipated on it and didnt want to take the senna tea or sea salt. I bought the organic maple syrup and bought organic lemons...thought it tasted pretty good actually...the cayenne pepper gave it quite a kick! It makes sense that our bodies need to be cleansed every so often but it's definately not something to use as a weight loss tool simply because unless you plan on doing it for the rest of your life you'll gain back whatever weight you lose. At that time in my life I didn't step on scales. Not even at the doctors office...I'd refuse. I went by my clothes and how they felt on me to determine if I was losing weight or not. My clothes were pretty loose on me for awhile but it didnt take long before they fit normal again. Undecided JMHO...hope it works for you!

yeah, i hear what you're saying. but if you don't follow through, you're kind of screwed, haha.  and the tea/saltwater is important. i can't do the saltwater because i throw up... but the tea really does help you break down the **** (no pun intended) that's in your body. honestly, i wish i could do the flush, because the two together are supposed to be beneficial.

its okay if you stop using it (its safe for like 40 days, i think i'll get to about 7 and start weening off. 10s the "norm"), but you need to be really careful/conscious of how you get back to food and what foods you use. you're "supposed" to gain about half the weight back, that's to be expected.

I'm 5'9" and as of today I weighed in at 152. My goal is 143...but I don't see that happening anytime soon!

that's a terrible attitude to have. 9 pounds isnt too much to ask, and if you put your mind to it, you can do it.

I'm about... 5'7"/5'8". my HW was a few years ago at maybe 165... i've been in the 150's for the past year-ish. (typically between 153 and like 158... wasn't trying to lose weight, really)

my CW is 148.5 as of this morning. i'm really happy to finally be out of the 150's.

my goal on here is set at 125, but i don't know if i want to get that low. i think that being in the low 130s will be more than suitable for my frame. we'll see as i lose it, i guess.

rudegirls,

it might be the musiclover/showgo-er in me... but LOVE IT.

Haha. Thanks. I think it's a great story too.

The strangest thing about it all, is that I had been feeling sick the day we met and almost didn't go to the show. But my Dad made me go because I'd promised the promoter I'd work the door. I grumbled about it on the way there, because I just wanted to stay in bed.

But I'm really glad he made me go. Had I not gone, there's NO chance I would have EVER met Johnny.

It seriously must have been fate that we met.

that's legit adorable.

:]
