I lovee sweet potatoes. I make them the laziest way possible. Two layers of plastic wrap, then in the microwave for 6-7 minutes. You don't have to put holes in the potato or anything. |

Yeedy, Thanks so much for the advice. I enjoy the taste of meat but I realize that cutting down on it would help me to lose weight. I'm worried that if I cut it out entirely my body would start rejecting it though so I think I might try to only have meat 1-2 times a week. Id be so sad if I could never eat a hamburger or fish ever again cause my body rejected it. And thanks, I'll aim for around 1500 a day then and see how that goes, hopefully I'll have good results like you. And good luck on losing that pound =] Aimzee, welcome. We're the same height =] |

I think youre way off. He was probably impressed at your ability to get something healthy when the bakery was right there and trying to congratulate you. As someone who works in a similar position I know how hard it can be to try to make conversation with the customer. Maybe hes dieting too? =] |

Original Post by javagen3: Well its still got an A grade on here which is pretty good. And if you eat a medium sized one it fills you up and only has like almost 8g of sugar which isn't too bad if it stops you from snacking on worse foods. Plus it has lots of vitamins and things =] |

Fage is so good. I tried one other brand and it didn't even come close to fage. I like the 0% fat one cause you can eat a lot and its low cal and its delicious with fruit, nuts, honey etc. It is becoming easier and easier to find and more and more supermarkets are starting to carry it. It's also thicker than regular yogurt and I find it more filling. I highly suggest you go look for some, if you can't find it at your local supermarket try a store like whole foods which carries more healthyish foods. Good luck =] |

I feel like these two parts of your post contradict each other. "No offence to anyone" "Do large people just hate skinny people?" Just saying. I hope that girl doesn't use this website or she's reallyy gonna hate your guts. Ps. this thread is hilarious. |

Maybe its because diary itself is usually not that great for you. If you read skinny bitch it talks a lot about how its not natural for us to eat diary except for when were little kids cause its meant specifically for young cows to gain weight. Thats probably not why its a C+ but I just thought it was interesting. |

I eat cooked or raw veggies, especially sweet potatoes because they are soo filling and not high in cal. Also things like popcorn, zero% fat yogurt, apples. |

I'm assuming you don't already have a job. If this is the case, I would just wear a pencil skirt and button up or something not too dressy but still nice. I wouldn't buy more work clothes until after you have the job. I work as a hostess in a restaurant and once I got hired I learned that the dress code was much stricter than I thought so it was good I didn't go out and buy a lot of work clothes before getting the job. Good luck =] |

| Health & Support | How much should I eat? | Jul 22 2008 14:29 (UTC) |

I'm almost 18 and I'm 5'3. I weighed 118 when I weighed myself this morning and I have a small frame. And once I get up that high I plan on eating 1400-1800 on the days I'm active but most days I'm just at work almost all day and I don't move while I'm there. Thanks your your response and I would appreciate your advice. I was thinking of buliding up to like 1800 for a few days and then dropping back down to 1200-1400 so that my metabolism would get a boost but I don't know if it would work and its scary for me to eat that much in a day. |

Welcome yeedy =] Also, I have some questions for you. I was considering going vegetarian or at least ruducing my eat intake drastically and only eating meat like once a week. Do you think I would still have good results from this or would I need to stop eating meat entirely?

Original Post by gi-jane: I thought 1200-1400 was okay for a female to eat? Thats what I read on this site. I'm really short and I not too active but on the days I am I plan on eating more than that. Is that still okay? |

Please help me. I've had bulimia for three years now and failed at recovery multiple times. I'm giving it another go. Recently I've been restricting, binging, and purging and I want to end the cycle for good. So for a while I haven't really been eating enough (400-800 cals a day) and I know how bad it is for me and I'm trying to eat more but I'm afraid if I got up a lot right away I'll gain a lot. I want to lose in a healthy way. If I increase about 200/300 calories a day and then try to eat between 1200-1400 cals a day will I still lose or will I gain since my body is used to eating so much less. Basically, how long will it take for my body to get used to eating more? |

Yeah I agree. Weekends are usually bad for me so mondays would hopefully push me to be good over the weekend. Also according to this website its going to take me like 4 months to lose like 10 pounds which seems long to me. I think it will take me less based on past dieting I've done. Or at least I hope it will. Is yours like that too? |
