Seriously, fidget? Wow, i thought they wouldnt take me at such a 'high' bmi as compared to other anorexics. I thought they'd push me aside to make room for the 12-13 bmi category.

Is my life at risk by throwing up so much?

Reguardless, i am going to the hospital tomorrow ASAP.

Thank you so much for your post! Its very informative, thank you. And im in canada, so it would all be free for me anyways :-) i love our health care!

but anyways, im bulimic and anorexic, my bmi is 16.8, so im really in a rut here. Im decreasing my b/p episodes significantly though, and my binges are much more controlled than they were. Im making progress, but i have such a long road to go.Im managing 2800 cals/day, which is good.

I used to b/p on average 3 times a day, now its maybe once a week. In a way, i would really like to go to IP to just simply be looked after and kept sane, does that make any sense? lol, i like the structure that would accompany IP.

Do u think i would be considered a candidate for IP treatment based upon my history? (Personally, i think i wouldnt be, considering my ED isnt as advanced as some other peoples'...)

Oh, im so sorry to hear all of this!

You need to have more respect for yourself though. A man should always treat a woman like gold - and this clearly isn't whats happening in your life right now.

I need to point out a major red flag - this is where eatng diorders start. Yes, you are overweight but i can see the beginnings of bulimia at work. I am so very concerned for you and your mental health - please i urge you to seek out the help of your doctor and/or psychologist!!!

Hey Fidget,

Youre to the point, which is awesome. But, 95% of the people here understand your tone as what it comes accross as and they overlook your true meaning. Its great how straightforward you are, but i believe that if you softened your tone a tad (while still being forceful in the issue), it might be a bit more effective!

Definately talk to your doctor. Try taking beano and lactobacillipylarus (i think its called) which are good - gut - bacteria pills!

Also, try to stay away from more fiberous fruits/ veggies and stick with more starchy ones, it should also help.

Exercising makes me feel beautiful, because i listen to my body and respect its needs. I go hard when i feel the adrenaline pushing through my veins, and i take a break when i get too tired to push further!

Its the best medicine for anything!

Youre definately not at a healthy weight, at all so i suggest you pack in those calories more than what youve been getting. 2500 calories at least sedentary, and dont do any strenuous exercises. You are only 15, so we hope youll just fill out more since you have lots of time to grow but really, you need to be eating alot more.

Try trail mix, nuts are so good with a little chocolate bits put in... really healthy and high calorie, they will not make you look bloated since they are very dense.

Fidget, i know you are annoyed because you can only wish health onto others. I want the exactly same thing here. I, as well am so frustrated with this disease- and although you are completely right, your comments are not taken by the OP (or several others) seriously because of the tone you use. I feel the same way as you do, but i know from experience that displaying your anger won't help anyone at all.Clearly, your heart is in the right place though - we all know the horrors of ED and wish it never existed!

I didnt mean to act "pro-ana/mia" at all as i am so against it, its just how i feel. Im certrainly in NO WAY asking for help lowering my weight.. i should have phrased it differently, im just in need of support from people who have lived through this.

In my opinion, this website in itself is a lifesaver with everyone being so wonderful and understanding, so thank you all!

Im 5'10, 130 lbs. Up from 112. I want to desparately get back down and get control of myself. Ive been trying to eat 1500 and burn 500 through exercise, im 17 years old.

And I totally agree 100%... love those mixed breeds. I have a 10yr old collie who-knows-what-else dog and i love him to death... i think ill have to go on meds when he dies! :)

Ive had so many blood tests recently and everything came back fine. Im sure it was a palpitation though, i just think i need to try and fuel up on the go more.

It was on top of my errands, yes. My bmi is 19.8 now, so i choose to exercise alot more. (Mind you, i eat 2500 cals to maintain my weight with this exercise by the end of the day-always.)

Although, im not sure im burning that much because ive heard the calorie counts on the gym machines are way off as much as 50%? So i may be just burning 300, i dont really know, even though i input my weight/age.

hi- thanks to both. 

i know what i think is going on here. I used to be 114, and now im 129 i feel like i have lost control, agru, that i let my weight balloon up. (even tho i did it on purpose.) i know this is so wrong, but i cant help but think that ive failed and i so desparately want to regain that (false) sense of control again.

I love atlantic salmon!!! 

Its so flavourful by itself, all i do is salt the fish and then sprinkle some dill and garlic salt onto it, pop it into the oven and voila!

It really is that simple.

Im 5'10, 127 lbs at the moment. Im so desparately good at counting calories that i know how much approxiamtely is in everything i eat! Rice, chicken, added calories in for the oils cooked with it... im way too technically skilled for my own good i wish i didnt even start in the first place!

Im trying to count food groups lately but its not working too well... :(

My restricting came back today, but your post actually made me eat a grilled cheese sandwich! I know my ED is making me "feel" fat, in reality i know im one of the skinniest people in my school. Its so hard to not listen to that voice though, because i almost gave into it today. I just wish i could see myself for the way i am.

Thanks lala - you really are great, you do know that dont you?

Its just that, i have been averaging 2500cals/day with an average (intentional) binge of 7000 cals/week. Every week, for the past 6 months. Although i have gained a little weight, it by no means adds up to the whole 3500cal/lb thing. 

I used to be 114lbs, now im 119.8 lbs... small, but an improvment. I love the way i look and feel- i really do! (I never would have thought that of myself 6 months ago, weird how we can surprise ourselves in wonderful ways hey?) 

I want to honestly gain more weight, it just does not add up. I think that if this was in the beginning of my recovery, id agree with you 100% about the metabolism revving, but its been this way for months on end. Shouldn't my body realize by now that its never going to be starved again?

Is it true for most people that if they're underweight, their hunger level generally goes up to encourage weight gain? I think this is happening to me as i have gained 5 lbs back but im FAMISHED all the time...

Hey thanks for the reply!

your suggestions were really great, but most of the stuff you mentioned i have a few issues with hahha...

i dont have girlfriends unfortunately anymore. (the big problem i ran into last year.  Depression and an ED were the results of that.) Travel? i hate it! (i know weird right?!) i dont have time for a job because im studying so hard this year... i need to get into a good university and become a dermatologist. I have a horse which i really love, but i unfortunately cant see him much because im studying so freaking hard...

But i will write a list like you said of things i want to do... and i WILL do them because thats the person ive always been- (get-up-and-just-do-it!) :-)
