Hi Aniya, You sure a caught in a miserable place and I can sympathize. For almost 2 years I didn't buy any new clothes because I didn't think I deserved anything new until I hit my goal weight. I'm still not there. I'm 5'4 and 143. Hoping to hit 130 by December. I will tell you I am happy with myself and able to feel peaceful. This is a really recent development for me. Like you I used to beat myself up constantly. I know this sound crazy but the shift happened when I just started focusing on the present moment. I stopped focusing on tomorrow and put all of my attention on what is going on. I sit outside and just listen to the birds or go for walks really paying attention to what I see and hear. As long as I do the best I can that day I'm satisfied. All I can do is burn my extra 500-1000 calories every day and eat the right amount. If I've done that what else can I do? I try not to worry about the scale although there are days that I still sigh with frustration. I just let the frustration go. My body is what it is. Not easy to do but not listening to negative mind chatter has really helped me. If you want to chat feel free to send me a message.
Hang in there. Karen |

Welcome! I'm Karen also trying to lose some weight. I joined less than a month ago and find the web page really valuable. Haven't lost too much but trying to be patient. Easy to say, very hard to do. |
