hi everyone.. i'm glad this post is up and running again. i haven't weighed myself yet this week so i'm not sure where i am but still right around 140. i have started swimming once a week though and i have been going for long walks most days that i am not at the gym. oh and i also spin once a week. so i'd like to either spin, swim, run or walk everyday, but realistically i will probably do one of those activities at least 5 times a week. out of the last 7 days i was active 5 days. i did not do anything last thursday and i'm not planning on going to the gym today. i am eating 4-5 servings of fruit/veg a day though. how is everyone else doing this week? |

how did surgery go?? things are going well with me. i am at 139, which is not great. but i am finally getting serious about losing weight. i'm really watching what i am eating and limiting myself to fruits and veggies as much as possible. mcdonalds once in a while is not terrible, you still have to live a little! i had a (homemade) breakfast sandwich last night for dinner. complete with sausage and on white bread! but i made sure to limit my intake during the day since i knew i wanted to indulge at night! glad to have you back on the site! good luck! |

okay well this is my first week back at work and so my first official week of the new year. i'm really tired of being overweight and i am ready to do something about it. although i have not been to the gym yet i am goign to go tomorrow. 100%. i will go tomorrow. i have been jogging and doing some other little stuff but i would really like to get back into shape. my bf and i are planning a trip to sunny california in march and i'd like to lose 1-2 lbs every week until then. i am going to put myself on a challenge and have two piggy banks. each week i am going to put $10 somewhere. 1 bank for when i lose and the other for when i don't. at the end, i will spend the good savings on myself for clothes or a facial or something. the other money i will give away to church. it's only $90 total but hopefully i will lose somewhere between 9-18 lbs! wouldn't that be fun! then i'd be back in the 120's!!! i am super excited about this. |

so i went grocery shopping so now i have some fruit and veggies which are very nice. my menu today includes: fat free yogurt, pb & honey sandwich on low cal whole wheat, banana, apple and then dinner. don't know what's for dinner yet but we're going to the grandparents so it probably won't be too healthy. haven't exercised in AGES. going to gym it and take the pup on a long walk sat & sun. hope everyone is doing great! |

well i had another week of vacation due to thanksgiving ... but i was really godo all week and weighed in at 139.5!! woo hoooooo. i never thought i'd be excited to be in the 130's but i am! even if only for a moment it's given me muchos motivation. unfortunately i'm off to a rough start today i had a bagel for breakfast! and i didn't have any food in my house for lunch so i have to buy something. but i'll hit the grocery tonight. hope you're all doing fab!!! |

hi ladies! i am back... i don't think i've left any messages in about a month, i was on vacation for 10 days in my defense, and then i've just been really busy. but i did weigh myself the other day and i was at 144.2 so i think the scale is moving in the right direction. i'm eating better these days, even though i'm not exercising as much. and i've been trying to "graze" all day instead of 3 big meals, i think that is helping my metabolism. anyway i hope you're all doing great and i will be back to posting regularly! |

last weigh in before 10 days vacation ... 146.1 lbs. terrible, in my opinion, as it is still a gain from my start weight, but i think the vacation will be good for me, i hope at least. i'm going to try to stay healthy and i'm sure we'll be very active. have a great week, girls! |

girl - congrats -- i am SO jealous. unfortunately my weigh in is NOT happy -- 147.2 which is up 2.2 lbs from when i started! and up 5.7 from my lowest in the past 2 months. i am totally going in the WRONG direction. but i'm not surprised after the weekend i had.. my parents came up to visit and of course we ate a TON. i cooked for them friday and sunday night... we had both sets of parents for dinner sunday so i also made a cake. i ate so much food and barely exercised. lots of walking but nothing intense. anyway i can't complain, i'm going to hawaii on friday and even though i'm fat, it'll still be awesome. maybe running around in a bathing suit will motivate me even more. also i'm thinking i need to switch to 6 small meals a day. i don't know how i'll find the time but i'm really determined to lose some of this weight by the holidays. i'm really miserable being so FAT. okay have a great day everyone :) |

ok so my new plan of action is to enter in everything i plan on eating, either first thing in the morning or during lunch. i just did this during lunch and it only took about 7 minutes. not too bad. plus i think it will make me more likely to stick to my plan, since otherwise i will have to go in and adjust. i just don't have the patience to sit down everyday and do it, but i am going to try because i think part of my problem is some days i don't eat enough calories and some days i eat too many. yesterday for example, i overate. today i will need to work to meet my calories, espcially since i am goign to the gym and will either spin or jog for about 50 minutes. this weight loss thing is SO time consuming. i don'tk now why i can't just lose weight by watching what i eat and exercising.... |

so yesterday i ate 1650 calories. i only burned 2000. but i weighed myself and i now i weigh 146.4. i don't get it. and my problem with counting calories is that it is so time consuming! i think i probably need to change up what i am eating or something. but i just can't imagine that i am really gaining weight! it's pretty frusterating. i wouldn't mind as much if my weight was fluxuating a lot.. but it seems to go down for a couple weeks, then i'll gain it back instantly. weird. i'm going to try to really log my calories though.. |

good news about your car! i'm not sure what to do i don't seem to be doing anything right... i am actually gaining instead of losing. i don't even know how that is possible since i am exercising and watching what i eat. i'm not perfect on either counts, but i would expect to maintain if anything, certainly not gain. i'm incredibly frusterated. skipped breakfast today since i didn't have time (i NEVER do that), had half a chicken sandwich with cheese for lunch and a small applesauce. i have a light yogurt for an afternoon snack. dinner i'll have a lean cuisine and some salad (while my bf chows down a cheeseburger) ugh. how can i possibly be GAINING weight??? i wasn't gaining when i wasn't do anythign and was eating whatever i want! |

girl -- pup is doing well, thanks for asking! i have to put drops in her eyes twice a day but she's a good baby :) anyway i try to do intense cardio 3-4 times a week (spinning or running) and then i also try to do pilates or something at least on the days where i do not do cardio.. and i try to be as active as possible, in general, just to try to burn an extra calorie here or there.. i think my biggest problem is changing up what i eat.. i eat the same things for breakfast and lunch pretty much everyday! i am a creature of habit but i think it is stalling my weight loss in a big weigh;) like that play on words?? hehe.. |

so last night for dinner i made chicken caesar salad but i made the dressing myself and baked the chicken and everything so i don't think it was too unhealthy. the egg in the dressing is fatty, but there are only 2 egg yolks and i 1.5 tbsp of the dressing. then i used low fat parm. cheese in it and olive oil. so kind of fatty, but not too bad, i don't think. did 20 minutes mat pilates last night, too. anyway for today: yogurt & granola; celery with pb; 1/2 roast beef sandwich on wheat with 1/2 slice of cheese and 1 tsp low fat mayo ; mini twix ; not sure about dinner. my bf wants sausage & peppers so i'll prob have 1/2 a sausage and some veggies. going to the gym tonight so i'll either spin for 60 minutes or jog for 50 minutes. hope everyone has a great day! |

hi girls.. i can't believe you had such a scary experience girlfighting! that's crazy -- i'm glad everyone is okay. cristin -- i'm in connecticut. i haven't weighed myself because i've been eating SOO poorly i'm going to give myself another week. i did take my measurements finally though, which i've been meaning to do. i posted them on my prof so i can track them. yesterday: blueberry pancakes with butter & syrup; cheeseburger on the grill with a bun; some potato chips; salad with light italian dressing; an apple; carrot cake. NO WONDER I AM FAT! today: yogurt & granola; 1 can tuna w/ 2 tbsp light mayo; applesauce; 1 mini milky way; apple and i'm not sure about dinner... but i have to take my puppy to the vet b/c she has an eye infection :'( hope everyone is having a good monday. |

i also have checked back and did not see much activity! anyway i can't believe another week of work is almost over.. whew! i went for a 4.5 mile run the other day outside, which was very nice but i haven't done anything since then (that was tuesday). not even pilates. not good. and worse, tomorrow night we're having a party and i'm making all there terrible (but delicious) foods. tomorrow will be my cheat day big time but i'll work out hard this weekend in an attempt to make up for it. what do you girls have going on this weekend? |

ughhhh i am so motivated to be healthy and everything else but the scale is NOT on my side. i swear the less i exercise the more weight i lose. i'm feeling SO discouraged lately. everytime i lose a few pounds, they reappear within a couple weeks. what am i doing wrong?????? |

tikitas - i am so sorry to hear about your uncle :( i'll keep your family in my thoughts.. as for weigh-in, i am pretty angry as i am right back up to 145 today. i totally binged two days last week and i guess it was 2 whole pounds worth. ughhhh. but today's menu: bfast - yogurt & granola lunch - sandwich, baby carrots, mini twix dinner - grilled chicken, rice, broccoli sometimes i swear the less i exercise the more i lose. i'm going to take measurements tonight, as well. i've been putting it off but i've got to face it now. |

ugh i have been eating terribly... i think it is because i have been feeling so BLAH lately... and i haven't been exercising because of my cold... but i'm off to the gym now, so that's a good sign... but yesterday i ate mexican for lunch and then had wings & fries for dinner! i probably gained 2 lbs yesterday alone. oh and don't forget the ice cream i had AFTER dinner. it's good for me to report out to you girls though, then i can't pretend like i've been eating oh-so-healthy. anyway i hope everyone has a great weekend! |

red -- my CC was the same as always, but i've always been a CC+ user, maybe that had something to do with it? girl - i LOVE guacamole, i hope you are enjoying it!! anyway, i've had a cold all week so i haven't been working out. i feel pretty gross about it, but oh well. i also haven't been eating too much so it probably balances. how is everyone doing? i've had a rather difficult morning as i have been feeling rather discouraged about things with my bf and with my weight-loss. job is going well, but if things don't work out with the bf i am moving away (since i'm not from here but moved here for him) so then i would be pretty exactly back to where i started after college, but fatter, single and older. i'm off to a very BLAH day. hope you're all having better days than me :) |

ladies -- i also don't usually log all my calories everyday... but i have a pretty good idea of what i eat, since i usually eat the same thing everyday, the only thing that really differs is dinner... do you think that is bad, btw? eating the same thing everyday? anyway i hope everyone had a nice weekend; mine was good until i caught a cold yesterday. now i feel like poo! sw: 145 lw: 144 cw: 143 gw: 125 at this rate, it is goign to take me FOREVER... how do lose more than 1 lb a week??? i swear when i exercise more i lose less.... keep up the good work girls!!! |

well i took the week off from exercising last week -- and i lost a pound! so now i am trying to be very conscience of how many calories i consume and how many i burn. i would have always thought that the more calories you burn the more weight you lose -- but i guess it is necessary to consume a certain amount, as well. ugh. anyway my new routine is: mat pilates for 20 minutes every day... 1 hr spinning or jogging 4 days a week.. and maybe some weights in there too. as for food, i'm trying to eat more fruit & veggies and eat my calories that way. hope everyone is having a nice week :) i love the fall :) |

today's menu: yoplait light yogurt & golean crunch 2 slice pizza chicken and veggies (squash, broccoli) i figure i'm okay on the pizza since i have spinning tonight and that usually burns approx. 600 cals.. and i'm doing mat pilates everyday rainbow -- whole wheat pasta is really tasty! karma -- i'm also trying to lose as much weight as quickly as possible (in a healthy way, of course) let's try to especially keep each other on track :) |

so sorry to hear about the bad news re: lay off and uncle! :'( i'm sure only good things will come from the layoff.. and i will keep your uncle in my prayers, tiki. so far today my food includes only breakfast, kashi go lean crunch & yogurt. lunch will likely be bad because i will eat at the airport. and this weekend doesn't look too promising as i am going to visit family (my nana is turning 90!) and eating is a very social event in my family. or at least, i think a lot of us use socializing as an excuse to sit around and graze... anyway hope everyone has a great weekend! i'm nervous about monday's weigh-in, i haven't been weighing myself all week.... |

ashley - we are practically twins ... i am 5' and 145 lbs :( :( i've gained 20+ in the last 3 years it's awful. i feel totally uncomfortable being this size! i am tracking what i eat and i do measure so i'm not sure waht is going on but i totally blew it yesterday and figured today is a new day and jsut to try my best. so i've had the typical breakfast and lunch so far. not sure what i'll have for dinner tonight, i think italian sausage and zucchini. oh and i weighed myself and i still ahve not changed a single iota. sucks! have a great day ladies |

ok so my stats are: 5'1"/145lbs/ 25 yrs old... so i think i am eating plenty -- i must be still over-eating :( here's my usual day in food: breakfast - yoplait light yogurt & kashi golean crunch lunch - turkey & cheese sandwich on whole wheat, with mustard, baby carrots, and 2 cookies or something else sweet dinner - chicken & pasta or rice, salad w/ oil & vinegar or veggies that's my typical day but i get into trouble with snacking. like sometimes i will have some chips before dinner or i might have a couple cookies after dinner. HELP ME! ahhhh the frusteration..... :) |
