| Health & Support | Borderline Personality Disorder....anyone have it? | Oct 04 2008 07:39 (UTC) |

I turned 19 in June, and when I was 18 my mother made me see a therapist for the first time because of a huge fight we got into. The first time there and after hearing everything I had to say I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and I suffer from depression as well. It's a very real disorder. I've been in therapy for over a year now and even now I have trouble coping, but I refuse to take medication for anything. The only advice I can give is to see a therapist regularly, I go once a month as of right now. Talk to your parents so they understand what is going on with you. I had a boyfriend who put up with me during the whole thing, he was a great guy and though we ended up breaking up, it helped me move on a little. |

| I've had mine since before December and (knock on wood) haven't had problems with it. I was informed that ACER is a good brand to buy. How long have you had yours? Maybe I haven't had it long enough...
I hate rude customer service reps. I hope it all works out for you in the end!!! |

| I LOVE SUSHI!
I get this roll called the DFR. It has spicy tuna inside, wrapped in seaweed and rice...and topped with alabcore, magic sauce (mayo sauce), ponzu sauce and green onions. That makes for a very happy me! |

"What excites me about this isn't that I can do it, but that it's possible." |

| These are from "My Man Godfrey"
Godfrey: Hasn't anyone ever told you about certain proprieties? Irene: You use such lovely big words. I like big words. What does it mean? Godfrey: Well, I'll try to simplify it. Hasn't your mother or anyone ever explained to you that some things are proper and some things are not? Irene: No she hasn't. She rambles on quite a bit, but then she never has anything to say. AND Detective: [notices Carlo by the french doors] Who's that? Irene: It's mother's protegé. Detective: No wisecracks. Is that your son? Alexander Bullock: That? Say, listen. I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, but I'll be hanged if I'll plead guilty to that! "My Man Godfrey" is such a good movie! I highly recommend it if you like old movies. (Circa 1936) |

| What do you like to write? What format have you never tried but wish to? I'm a "poet" for lack of a better word. It's not really poetry though. It's freelance thought put into word form with an occasional rhythm. (I like to be difficult.) How did you get started as a writer? I started a long time ago! But I started using my talent more so when I started high school. Do you read or write poetry? I write it, occasionally read it. If you could go on an all-expense-paid vacation with an author of your choice, who would it be and where would you go? I would go somewhere with Nick Hornby and discuss his novel "A Long Way Down" which is about a group of people who meet on New Year's Eve at the top of a building where a huge party is being held. They all are up there with the notion to jump off and kill themselves. It's about their journey to saving themselves and eachother and what they did to overcome their would have been suicides. (It's amazing! It's written as seperate monologues. Each chapter is a different person speaking. I loved it!) I have no idea where I would go. I just know that's who I would want to meet. |

| My sister just stole the best book from me..."Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs" by Chuck Klosterman. It's hilarious! There is an entire chapter dedicated to why women love John Cusack!
Watergirl, I saw Simon Birch when it first came out and then when I read the synopsis for this book I thought there was a similarity. I read somewhere that Irving didn't want people to connect the two at first glance. I like it! Only 100 pages to go! |

| I plan on being a writer, so I'm always reading a million books at once. I am currently reading:
The Interruption of Everything by Terry McMillian A Prayer For Owen Meany by John Irving Chronicles of a Death Foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby (I think that's all....) |
