Back to the OP question... Why even have an additional classification? If you are a citizen of the United States, then there should be only one class. I have not heard of the other countries with such a separation gap. |

I have been lurking in the group, but not responding. I have been fighting flu like symptoms for about a week. I have not felt like eating. So I have been eating whatever-whenever just so that I could keep my strength up. Last Wednesday and Thursday, my left eye was swollen shut. Swelling finally went down and vision is getting better. I really need to get a grip. TOM showed up twice this month (lucky me). The first time was pretty normal. Not much of a gain, just the normal 3-5 pounds. I had lost down to 276.6. But then TOM showed up again and for some weird reason, I jumped up to 285.0. This morning I weighed in at 283.0. I am not going to concentrate on losses until I can shake this flu-y feeling with sinus trouble. I need to get well. ANYWAY - I thought that maybe I should check in with the group. I hope that everyone is doing well..... |

If the past few days is any indication on how tomorrow's weigh in is going to be, then........ 285.0 this morning (again for the third day in row). That is up 6 pounds from last week. My body is doing some weird things. Doing some major water retention. My body even thought that it would be cute to do the TOM again. Already had it this month around the 5th. This time around, I have some powerful cravings and munchies. I am trying to behave myself. WE ARE NOT AMUSED!!!!! |

Damage Report..... Even after yesterday's trip to the Chinese buffet, I am reporting 279.0. That is up from yesterday's 276.6 but it is still down (a little) from last week 279.6. I feel like the little engine....

OHHHHH NOOOOOO Tomorrow's weigh in is going to be sooooo bad. Friends took Keith and me out to lunch today. I did not have much of a choice at to where. We ended up at a Chinese Buffet. I tried soooo hard to be good. OH Well... Tomorrow is a new day... Need to go get another water.... Need to flush today away.... Starting over again in the morning. Dreading the weigh in tomorrow..... Good Luck Ladies..... |

Hello - I have been on my journey for a little over a year. I started at 336.4 on July 16, 2008. I found Calorie Count on July 18, 2008. This morning, I weighed in at 281.2. That is 55.2 pounds in 12 months. I have stalled somewhat. And I thought that maybe I should try the South Beach. Jayne, Karen and I are in another group (300+ Club). I knew that Jayne was doing South Beach since basically the start of her journey. Karen, however, I have seen her stall (April I think). Then she went on South Beach and there is a very noticable fall in her weight log. Both ladies are doing great. Now it's my turn. It is my understanding that Phase 1 is basically weaning your body (system) from processed and bad sugars and the wrong carbs. Here is my dilemma. I found a specialty bread that is 100% All Natural, 100% Whole Wheat, Double Fiber. 2 slices give me 40% of my daily fiber needs. It is similar to Nature's Own Double Fiber bread but the bread that I am using is lower in sugars and sodium. I was eating the Fiber One Bars to get my added fiber. But at the beginning of the year, I started to notice my numbers for Sugar, Sodium and Cholesterol. I realized that I was going WAY over. Before you start suggesting Metamucil, Benefiber (and the like), I have a problem with these. I have irritable bowel syndrome. When I use those, it is not a smooth move. (pardon the pun). Things get to moving too fast and I start to have abdominal pains and cramps. I find that I need a solid fiber choice, not something that is mixed with water or taken by pill. So I am making one minor adjustment to Phase 1. Now that I have movement (anyone who has IBS can appreciate that), I am keeping my double fiber bread. I find that if I have a slice of bread with laughing cow wedge as my bedtime snack, then I am regular the next morning. Well, I guess that is all for now. Hope to chat soon.
