Barry White is my (not so secret) favourite - but it's just too funny and corny to play when getting it on. Tool is high on the list (because it was playing to first time we were together), Chris Smither, anything bluesy and soulfull. Plus I have a string of pink flamingo lights that are really dim, basically if they're on - it's on! |

Hi Guys, I'm doing week one day one when I get home from work today! Wish me luck. I started running casually a couple of weeks ago but had to stop for a week because I've been unwell. There is a footy oval directly opposite my house so it's easy enough to get going if I go straight after I get home from work. I'm hoping to start running in the mornings now that it's starting to get a bit warmer and lighter (I live in Australia). |

I'm 5"0 and 23 years old - CW: 136 GW: 114. Find it extremely hard to lose weight, but my main focus is eating healthy. Haven't really got the exercise thing happening regularly yet and was thwarted in my efforts by getting sick. Oh well, back on track this week. |

Guess what? Still no weight loss - what a surprise. But I think the 29th will be it, I can feel it in my waters that weight loss is imminent :)

I'm really late with my submission because I've been unwell and away from the internet. Didn't lose any weight though so it doesn't really matter but I want to keep it up anyway and I know the next weigh in is tomorrow! | Fitness | What do YOU consider a good workout? | Aug 12 2008 06:39 (UTC) |

A good workout for me is one where I know I've worked really hard, and I know I've worked really hard when my face goes bright red. It's actually really annoying if I do a morning work out because it takes at least an hour to settle down which makes putting makeup on really hard. The other way I know I've done a good workout is if I feel euphoric from the adrenaline for a few hours after - or if I'm sore the next day! |

Hey Everyone, I read a bit of this thread and have to say I'm very impressed with everyone's enthusiasm. I don't want to join per se as I've started a running regime, but I'm a mad keen hiker and love bush walking (I live in Australia), so I thought I'd just pop my head up and say hello. I have done the 100 km / 48 hour Oxfam trailwalk challenge twice in the last 12 months. I have to say it was the most fulfilling thing I have ever done. So tough but so fun, I would highly reccommend taking on a charity challenge if you are finding it hard to get motivated. I'm doing a 3 day trek in the New Zealand mountains at the end of the year and am really trying to increase my all round fitness for it. Well done everyone, keep up the good work. I do walk home from work occassionally - I'm not sure how far it is but it takes about an hour and a half! A |

This is perfect, my birthday is November 12 and I want to lose 7kgs / 15.4 pounds by then so count me in! I also want to be running 5ks / 3 miles by that time so I'm going to add that stat into my weigh ins as well. Stats, I'm 23, female, Australian, 62kgs / 136.4 pounds, and 5 foot 0. Aug 10 ---- 136.4 pounds (62kgs) / 1 mile (1.6ks) |

| The Lounge | To Buy A Lunch or Not.... | Aug 07 2008 06:55 (UTC) |

I'd buy lunch - definitely! Sounds like you're getting excited about it. If it was me, and I was disappointed at only having lame salad and no cake for lunch then I'd probably do something naughty at dinner time or for dessert. Maybe try to say no to cake, or have a little half portion? You're allowed a treat from time to time! |

| The Lounge | Piercing vrs. Tattoo | Aug 06 2008 08:04 (UTC) |

Hi... I have both and love both. My nose is pierced and I haven't taken it out in a long long time, it's quite discreet but suits me well. My tattoo was something very private and personal, and in my opinion that's the best kind. At the end of the day you can only really count on yourself sticking around, if you get a tattoo I would suggest doing it privately, it'll have more meaning and importance that way. But honestly what I think you should really do is go for broke, don't listen to anyone elses opinions, go with your gut instinct and have FUN! |

thought I'd post an update, I had a smaller lunch today and really took my time having small sips of water with it. I feel a lot better - still fairly bloated but no stabbing pains which is a plus! I guess I'm a work in progess, but then again who isn't? |

Thanks for your help everyone. My Mum has IBS so I guess it's easy for me to jump to the conclusion that I must have an intolerance. It's funny because my boyfriend makes fun of me because I eat really quickly. I'm going to slow down today, chew my food properly, drink heaps of water with my lunch (not just before and after) and see how I go. I'm sure it would also help with feeling fuller and enjoying my food more! |

It doesn't feel like gas, it feels more localised, like stabbing pain. If it is the fiber what should I do? Will it pass or should I cut back? |
