I AM STRESSED OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!Yell

Okay, now that I've gotten THAT out of the way . . . HI ALL!!

Jo - DO NOT WORRY about gaining it back.  It sucks - I understand.  I started at 231, got down to 195 (for about ten minutes) - I now weigh 209.

I feel like the holidays, stress and SUPER STRESS has bitten me in the ass! Stress eating and emotional eating is the trigger.  Jo - I'm excited you got to go to Puerto Rico.  That's exciting that you get to travel though . . . wow!

I agree with Jo, Tonya - your new photo is fabulous!!  Keep up the great work - you are very motivating!!

My new medication :  Ugh, I have had issues with tingling and numbness in my hands, then it ended up being an "achy" feeling.  I went into the specialist to have two nerve tests done.  1) an EMG - which was tolerable and 2) another test that I can't remember the name of - they used needles and tested how my muscles reacted with my nerves.  FOURTEEN NEEDLES to be exact - it was very painful and I cried . . . . a lot.  I went back to my doctor for the results of my testing (oh, and they were concerned it was going to be MS [multiple sclerosis]) and everything came back fine.  THEN - after all of that worry and pain and crap - we have learned that it was a symptom of MY NEW MEDICATION!!  So, guess what - no more medication right now.

So - my house:   OMG I AM STRESSED OUT!!  Packing two different households, trying to sell one and sublet the other and save the money for all of the side stuff (the inspector, application fees, home owners insurance and our down-payment) has been a huge stretch in our budget.

My wedding: I bought my gown (size 18) and it's beautiful.  I feel like a princess in it!  But matching colors, getting everyone the right size, flowers, church, invitations, reception, blah and blah . . . . all in two months is really testing my stress level.

I think Jack Daniels is my new friend! Undecided Kidding - but not by much.

Anyway - we close on the house April 20th - I move my place the afternoon of April 20th - we are moving Dan's house April 21st and getting Married May 9th.

This is all fantastic and very positive news - but I'm stressed.  That doesn't even cover the whole "work/career" topic - which I won't get into.

Thanks for letting me vent.

My goal is 10lbs by my wedding - I'll make it.  No doubt here.  But let me tell you - peanut butter cookies have been my outlet lately!!

Gen, Jo and Tonya - I hope you all have a great week!!!

I'll check back in on Wednesday!

Ha!  I'm actually about to rip the little amount of hair I have left . . . out!  We are just having the girls and Dan's sister as my bridal party and the boys and Dan's brother as his groomsmen.  We are having a small family wedding at the church and no reception until we are settled in the new house.

Once we move in, We plan to have a "house warming/wedding reception" at our home.  That way it will be inexpensive, personal and safe.

I'm so excited.  But now I have a super CLOSE goal.  I really want to wear a short sleeved dress to be married in - but I have SO MUCH flab right now.  I bought some dumb bells and one full length bar to use for toning.  Now I need to really concentrate on my eating.  How much weight is "healthy" for two and 1/2 months time anyway?

Good morning everyone!  Wow, are we all falling off the wagon yet?  I weighed myself this morning and I weighed 208.5.  Yikes!  So sad, after all of that hard work.

I'm certainly not giving up though.  I've been doing a lot of traveling.  I have to take a trip to Vegas the end of February - and then return to Vegas for the trade show in June.

That gives me a huge opportunity to a big GOAL.  What if I could lose 25 pounds by the time I have to go to the Trade Show?  That is an awesome goal.

Also, I have quit drinking alcohol.  Period.  The doctor put me on some new medication and he said to ABSOLUTELY not drink alcohol due to the serious side effects.  So, there goes about two glasses of wine a night and martini's on the weekends (which I will be cutting A LOT of unneccesary calories just in that).

So, ladies - how about you?  Jo, are you back on track or should we start up some kind of weekly check in?  Gen?  Are you showing yet?  Tonya?  Wedding plans stressing you out?

I'm back to checking in now, so please drop a line.  Love to hear about your days.

Hi ladies!

I'm still hanging in there.  At 200 even.  I have so many dinners and lunches - both socially and professionally.  Grrrr . . . kind of frustrating to NOT join them in all the food goodness.

I don't know if you know this but I am a TOTAL Superman buff.  I saw this T-shirt on a toddler yesterday when I was shopping (thought of you Gen).  It was a little boy wearing the Superman emblem - except it was a "P" instead of an "S" - on the back it read "POOPERMAN".  HAHAHAHAHAHA - that still cracks me up.

Hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season so far!

Hugs -

Hi Ladies!

First of all . . . um . . . WOW WEE!!!!!! GEN!!!  WHOO HOO! I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU.  Shell shock is probably a good description . . . he he - but wow, how exciting!!  What a Christmas present!

I'm right at 200 still.  I haven't really been giving it a lot of effort lately.  Just trying to get through the holidays.

Jo - My youngest, Stephanie, has all four books.  She got them for her birthday.  She is on the 3rd one now.  She really enjoys them and she's up till about 11:00 on school nights [et hem . . .] reading them Innocent

I've been really down the past couple of weeks.  I totally broke down (full fledged tears and crying] at Tricia's Christmas concert.  I had no kleenex and had to use the sleeve of my sweater to keep composure.  It was a bit embarrassing - but I just felt very sad and overwhelmed.

I hope all of you have a wonderful week.  I've been put on a short term project that is taking my entire day away from me - and then I have to do my "regular" work when I get home.  Ugh . . .

Just wanted to pop in for a moment to see how everyone was doing.  Hope to check in again soon!

Hi friends!

YAY!!!! TONYA!!! WHOO HOO!!Sealed I am so happy for you.

I'm sorry I haven't been on.  I have actually had pneumonia.  Today is day 8.  I went to work the first time today and could only handle 3 hours.  Now I'm in bed again.  It's kicking my ass.

On a good note - I weigh 194 now (probably because I can't keep anything down).

But thought I'd say hello.  I posted one picture from my birthday party.  It was very very fun - but I got sick the very next day and then it just got worse.

I'll send more next week.  I hope all of you have a great weekend.  Welcome newcomers!!

Jo - hang in there.  Stress really hurts at times.  Just make sure you keep getting a good night's sleep.

Hi Jo, Gen and Tonya!

Well, today is my birthday and I weigh 195.  I'm a happy camper.  However, tonight, tomorrow and Friday are going to be HUGE "eating" times.  Tonight I'm going to a cocktail dinner with the National Sales Executives to J. Bucks (if you haven't heard of it - go to www.jbucks.com .  It's an amazing restaurant.  Then tomorrow, I need to bring in lunch to the board room and tomorrow night Dannyman wants to do something special for dinner (and perhaps some wine, etc. .. . we have zero kids!) Then my party Friday . . . we'll see.

How's everyone else doing?  I'm off to work again. - but wanted to check in my weight for the week and catch up.  Hope you three wonderful ladies are doing well and keeping your goals!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Ladies!

Well it's now 6:35 Central time and I am just now getting to log onto this site.

Jo - I was 12 when my mom died.  She had a malignant tumor of the jaw.  Then it went into her lungs.  She was a smoker . . . and unfortunately so am I.

I'm SOO EXCITED ABOUT MY COSTUME PARTY!!! Nine days to go!  Yaay!!

Well, getting ready to actually eat something bad - and maybe have some wine - I just gotta.  Bad Amy!

Talk to you soon!

I am all for weighing on Friday!!

And Jo - I agree about posting your kitty in your gallery!  I love kittens and cats and dogs . .. um . . . and gaffs Sealed

Thank you for your support on having a 13 year old boy Gen - I'm loosing my fricken mind!

I purchased another piece to my costume today.  I went to Hot Topic in the mall and bought a pair of very naughty boots.  They go to my knees and lace up (and are black . .. he he)  I am going to be a VAMPIRE for Halloween.  I bought a dress (the costume name is actually "Sassy Sexy Vampire") and black tights - to hold everything in AND one of those damn girdle thingies - TO HOLD EVERYTHING ELSE IN - and a black lace bra (with extra stuff - so that stuff isn't held in) and fake eye lashes.  I'M SO EXCITED.

I'm telling you what - if I make the 195 goal for my birthday - I'll do a cartwheel.  I should probably stretch out quite a bit so I don't kill myself in the process.  But that's my goal - a cartwheel.

Ladies - have a wonderful day tomorrow.  I'm going to be taking pictures of everyone (individually) in my office tomorrow - so I won't be on my computer much till late.

Toodles!

Good morning Ladies!

Well, Tonya - reading your email brought tears to my eyes.  Thank you so much for your support.  Jo - my mom also died of cancer.  What type of cancer did your mom have?  (only if you feel like sharing).

You can add me in for losing one pound this week!  198.5!!!!

Homecoming - I posted a picture of me and my daughter Tricia taken this weekend.  She looked so beautiful.  And my fears were only that . . . FEARS.  She was all about "Mom!  I need you."  "Mom, please help me with my eyeliner!" "Mom . . do you have a black necklace I can wear?" . . . "Mom . . .. !!!!???"

I was tickled, yet had a HUGE lump in my throat all evening.  She left and before she left, she gave me a kiss on my cheek and said, "Thanks for your help mom - and don't worry."

Ugh . . . I'm all upset again.  Anyway - the picture is in my gallery.  I felt sick - and had been crying - so don't look at me.  But isn't she beautiful??

Okay - subject change.  (and this is TMI) - any idea how constipation affects weight loss?  I'm suffering. Which is REALLY strange since I drink so much damn juice!!

How was everyone's weekend?  Gen - how old is your oldest?  Didn't you say junior high?  And your oldest is a boy, right?  We are having issues with our 13 year old boy.  He is really being moody . .. and stubborn.

Thanks again for your support ladies - you have really been my lifeline here lately!

It sure sounds like a nice diet though, eh?  It's funny how that happens.  I was traveling for work the first week of September and every night we had cocktail dinners (heavy on the cocktail).  I tried my best to hydrate myself the next day before all day meetings.  So I  consumed water and if nothing else Gatorade.  But the funny thing is - when I returned home after 4 days - I had lost 4 pounds!!

Thanks Tonya!  Ok, here is some info that I feel like I can share with you ladies . . . it's not really about weight loss - but about life.  And I really need to get it off my chest.

October 29th is my 37th birthday.  My mom died when she was 37 and it feels very strange.  I mean, it's kind of a "guilt" feeling and yet it's kind of an achievement feeling.  Does that make sense?  So, that's part of why my man is throwing me a huge costume party for my birthday.  We're having a DJ and the bar that it's going to be at is actually making it "Costume Night" with prizes and free drinks.

We are "regulars" at this bar (I know I have GOT to be sounding horrible now!!) No, don't call me Norm . . . we're friends with the owners.  Dan has been friends with the owners since 1994 - and it's just a place that we feel really comfortable.

My oldest daughter is a freshman and she is going to her very first Homecoming Dance this Saturday.  I want to be there for her.  She makes me feel like I'm embarrassing her though.

Then I look back to when I went to Prom and other "big" stuff in school - and my mom wasn't there.  I'm feeling sad and I think it's making me feel full.

I haven't eaten a regular meal in about two weeks.  Either it's a huge sandwich after about 7 beers or a bottle of wine or it's absolutely nothing.  I have a couple days on CC where my calories have been under 300.  Not that I'm purposely doing that - it just ends up that way.

So, back to announcing that I have broke the 200's . . . . now I feel like it was an accident.

Does that sound dumb?

Thank you for listening.  How is everyone else doing now?  Jo?  Where have you been?  Gen and Tonya - how's the school year going?

My weekends seem to be one or the other - either I over eat and eat really fattening stuff or I don't eat at all.

My last weekend entailed a lot of drinking Innocent  But I got through it okay.  And yesterday morning I weighed in at 199!!!  Yep, girls, I broke 200!  Whew!!  I didn't think that would EVER HAPPEN!!!

Hello ladies!

CalorieCount is a great place to start.  My name is Ames and I live in Illinois, USA (close to Chicago).  I started in July on this site.

When my dad came to visit me for Father's Day, June 18, 2008 I weighed 231 lbs.  This morning I weighed in at 201.5.  Yes, I'm on a natural "high" right now.  Whoo hooo!

I think the two strongest points to realize when having to lose a lot of weight is PATIENCE and SUPPORT.  If you can be patient with yourself and if you have enough support (which Suz, it appears your Hubby man is supportive).

Everyone have a super day.  I will check in again soon.

Good luck this week!

GOOD MORNING!! I'm good with trying to lose 1 lb a week.  That will satisfy me and it doesn't seem too tough at this point.

Tonya, I guess I kind of did what you did.  When I was in Pittsburgh I went off of my diet completely (along with wine . .. LOTS AND LOTS OF WINE . .. and fried foods and thick sauces . . .).  Then when I returned I wanted to get back on track, but ended up eating an entire pizza.

Today is my 3rd day on track.  I haven't weighed myself since Sunday.  Are you girls sitting down?  201.5 SealedSealedSealedSealedSealed  Whoo Hoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, Gen - can you explain what "couch to 5K" is?  I assume it's a race of some kind - or maybe a book?  I'm sorry if you've already shared and I missed it.  But I'm interested.

Jo - I have to go to a wedding on the 18th.  I'm thinking I'll just wear one of my business suits (I know, boring) but I just don't have the money right now to go buy new clothes.

Good job everyone - even with our ups and downs - we are here and we are doing it every day!

Chat with you soon!

Ladies!  Good morning! Well, it's Friday.  Time to get set for the weekend.  I'm relieved that this weekend I have absolutely NOTHING going on.  I have just been so exhausted and totally burning the candles on both ends.  You know?

Last night I actually at an entire pizza.  It's silly really.  I wasn't even all that hungry.  But I think I was totally stressed out, I was running a low grade fever and my head was pounding.  But I fixed Stephanie (my 8th grader) a pizza (one of those small Totino's pizzas) and figured, eh, why not.  I'm not in the mood for salad tonight.  So, there I sat . . . eating it all up.

However, I stepped on the scale this morning and weigh 204.  This is such a difficult thing isn't it?  Losing weight just gets harder with age I think.

I'm going to be 37 at the end of this month and I'm having a big party.  I SOOO want to break the 200's before then!!!  I know, it's only 4 pounds away - but it seems like every time I get this close to 200 . . . I mess up.

Maybe it's a mental thing?  Any thoughts?

Tonya, you said that you used to be over 200 once, right?  How long did it take for you to break it?  Actually, all three of you are right around the same weight now.  Gen, you are 176?  Jo, 186? Tonya 180?  I'm probably off a little bit - I haven't read through the postings in a while.  But I sure do need help.

Clearly, I've done well so far.  I mean, I was at 231 on June 18th,  I should feel really good now.  But I'm finding myself getting down.

Any thoughts or ideas would be genuinely appreciated!

If I don't hear from anyone - I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Your very busy and spaz of a friend,

AmyEmbarassed

You ladies are doing really well.  I think we all are.  Jeesh - if we can make it week by week and even stay the same (without gaining) that's good!

I have been in Pittsburgh (for the National Recycling Coalition).  I returned on Wednesday afternoon and took the rest of the week off as "comp" time.  Today is my first day back - so I'm kind of swamped - but wanted to say hello and see how the three of you were doing.

I ate like a crazy woman (and drank a lot of wine) while in Pgh.  We had dinner parties every night and I didn't slow down.

I weighed myself Thursday - back up to 206 (and I'm 5'8"), getting ready for my cycle - so it could be bloat (doubt it).  I only have 4 weeks till my birthday party, so I'm going to "juice it" for a few days.

I'll check back in a while.  Laughing

GOOD MORNING LADIES!!!  Wow Jo - be careful!!  That's so scary.

Tonya!  Absolutely great to have you aboard.  I qualify for the engaged part - but around Halloween I will be 37.

My secret?  JUICE.  I buy freshly squeezed juice, V8 low sodium, "Naked" juice (it's found by the produce in grocery stores, "FUZE" juice, etc.

I drink close to 60 oz. of juice in the morning and lunch (no food), then I have nuts or cereal for a snack (around 2), then I eat with my family for dinner.  IF they have pizza or steak - I eat a huge baked potato or sliced apples and a mountain of cottage cheese.

My calorie intake has steadily been 1600 a day.  I've been averaging 2 pounds a week.

Genny, this is a really good thing to do when you're down on not seeing any changes on the scale!  you too Jo . . . he he that evil digital scale!

Got to go to the board meeting now.  I won't be back on till late.  HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY LADIES . . . .ALL 3 OF YOU.

Tonya!  Tell us more about yourselves!

195 Is my goal for Halloween.  I weighed 207 this morning.  So that is a total of 24 pounds since Father's Day.  I'm loving this!  (must be doing something right!)

Tricia plays the clarinet.  We had our "Inner city football game" on Friday night.  Wow - I can sure tell I'm getting old!  Every kid in the parking lot on the drive out was TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY PISSING ME OFF!  I felt like hittng them just to get them away from my car!!  (well, not really - but MAN I was mad!!)

good morning ladies!

I've been super busy too.  It's getting to the point where everyone here has been either calling me or stopping by my office for "a little favor" which takes about 45 minutes for each one.  Jeeeesh!  Goin nuts here!

Anyway, I am at 209!  That is 22 pounds total.  But only one pound since my last weigh in.  I'm super psyched though Jo - 190.5!!  I want to weigh that . .. um  . . . . now please?

That's awesome.

Yes - I'm a band-aid (volunteer band mom) and had two meetings week and Tricia plays at her first football game tonight.  I'M SO EXCITED!!

I think I will "juice it" today.  I've got my low sodium V8 and a big botte of "Naked" carrot juice.  I'm set.  Dinner will probably be something with turkey or chicken in it -

I will check in soon - promise.  Enjoy your morning!!
