Oh god, i'm school aged, so all boys talk about is their "family jewels" or their "love stick" when I'm with friends, I like vag or vajay-jay, or brazil. I also like bajingo and hoo-ha. My friend and her mom call it the sugar bowl, which always cracks me up. When I was little my sister and I always called it front-butt too! |

Well, seeing as that guy who ate the burger isn't in danger of being overweight and as far as I know, is in good health, I say let him eat the burger! It is his life, and personally I kinda want to see how much of that burger I could eat |

I'm 5'4 and 103 lbs. (trying to gain weight) Usually a size 24-25 in jeans or a 0-1. In tops I FIT into an xs or s but I hate wearing tight stuff, I always feel so akward, plus I have no boobs, so tight tops don't do anything for me. |

My dad's birthday dinner went really well. I ate a lot, plus cake when we got back home! And the specialist doctors was okay, too. They measured my body fat with a skin pincher thing and told me that i was doing well but still didn't have enough body fat, because on my back it was like a five measurement and it is supposed to be from 7-11 or something like that. I really like these doctors, they don't treat me like I am some stupid kid and blame and yell at me about losing weight, like my nutritionist did. Today has been pretty good so far, we had this "Blessing of the Animals" thing at my school and I took my sisters little Maltipoo puppy to be blessed. Kind of weird, but fun! The only problem I am having with my school right now is my stupid literature teacher. Lit used to be my very favorite class and I had an A+ all year long, but then I change grades and get a new teacher who HATES me and is so mean, and I HATE her as well, and now I dread having lit class. :( Yesterday- lunch- snack- dinner at Morrocan restaurant (I didn't order all of this stuff myself, you order a couple different entrees then everyone at the table shares big servings family style, I just took a little serving out of everything)- at the end they served baklava and sweet mint tea, I drank the tea and ate half a baklava, and when we got home I had a little slice of chocolate cake with whipped cream as frosting I felt a bit to full after, but I really enjoyed myself and let myself have a good time with my family instead of worrying about calories! today- Lunch- Had a snack- agru-Sorry that you are having a hard time with the fasting, which is very understandable. While I was losing weight, I could go forever without desiring to eat, but now I get hungry between every class period! I am taking your advice and I am trying to count without obsessing over the numbers. So far it is proving to be slightly difficult, but I think I can get used to it. Aqua-I'm sorry you hate therapy so much. I would definetly hate it too if my therapist was basically forcing me to be weighed! How annoying, maybe she is trying to help, but she isn't a nutritionist or medical doctor, why should she be going around weighing you?! Gotta go do research on banning hunting for this lit. project. Not fun!

So I read the posts after mine, and I realized that I really hadn't had enough, I was just kinda tricking myself into thinking I did. Thanks for everyone who reminded me I am trying to GAIN weight, it was definetly a push I needed. Tom. I have another appointment with my anorexia specialist, and I am gonna start with the therapist soon. Scary stuff! And tommorrow is my dad's birthday, and we are going out to this middle eastern feast kind of place with belly dancers called Marakesh. It is really good, but I haven't had that kind of food since before ED so I am really scared. Grrr. I find it ridiculous that I can be scared of FOOD, something I used to love so much. Breakfast- Lunch- snack- snack after soccer- Dinner- Snack- Might have some pumpkin ice cream, i haven't really counted today so i don't know where i am calorie wise really sorry, but I can only reply to a few, need to hit the hay real quick Pmercury-Great job reaching 2500 and more. That is awesome Lala-Thanks for that new york times article, it was really interesting to see eating disorders from another point of view. What worries me is that I could completely compare myself to the girl the story was about. agru-Thank you so much for the "kick" as you put it. I really needed a push in the right direction. I am so happy for you that you are excited about gaining. It is so inspirational! gibbit-Yum, brownies and pumpkin cake sound so delicious! Great job eating the brownie, too. I watched/heard the debate, Obama was awesome, as usual, mccain, not so much. That raspberry beer is the only kind of beer my mom will drink. I've had a teeny tiny bit of a sip once and it tasted like kind of bitter soda to me. Ew Just thought i would add very quickly that I had a cup of pumpkin ice cream w/ whipped cream and the rest of my gatorade! yum yum yum |

Today was better than yesterday for sure. Lunch- Snack- Dinner- Snack- I have some grapes chilling in the freezer. Yay! Skinny-Your dad is a chef? That is so awesome. I bet you get really amazing food at home. Your meals all seem really delicious. BBQ is so good! okgo-Thai peanut butter pork? Yum! Can you post the recipe? Thai chicken in peanut sauce (satay) is one of my favorites, and peanut butter pork sounds great! You are doing really well increasing calories, keep it up. Agru-Yay for gaining! It is awesome that you are feeling so energetic and liking the new, healthier you. I know you can do it! Post more later, gotta eat my grapes then go to sleep for now

Today was not so good food wise. I totally failed. I had to do this community service thing from like 8:00-4:00 and was in a big rush this morning so I tried to grab a snack to take but we only had cereal bars, and the only food they served to the volunteers at the com.serv. thing were hot dogs. EWWWWW. Then my mom cooked dinner for my grandpa's 88 birthday, which was ciopeno and risotto. I couldn't eat the ciopeno because I am highly allergic to shellfish, and I was too chicken to try the risotto (plus I never really liked it before ED) So I am barely at 1,000 calories today, even after having a very filling night snack. Eh, sorry for the whining Breakfast (had to grab something on my way out) Lunch (at the community service thing)- Snack- Dinner- Snack-
Dana-I love sloppy joes! They are so good and messy. And granola is really healthy and great for weight gain. Slr-Good job for reaching 2500! That is so awesome, keep up the eating! I know you can do it. Made myself have another pear with peanut butter on it and a slice of wheat toast with pb. Feeling a little better now, but I know it still isn't enough. Grrr, gonna have to try better

Right now I am not getting that much really active or high intensity exercise cause I am trying to gain a bit of weight. But usually I have soccer practice 2-3 times a week, one of the practices is usually endurance training, the other is skills work play a soccer game every saturday, also sometimes on Sunday for tournaments, depending on the season P.E. every other day, which at my school means laps around the track, a sport like volleyball or basketball (ick, I don't like any of the sports we have to play) field hockey in the spring, 3 pratices a week with a lot of running and I walk my dogs, do some stationary/regular biking, random pushups and other strenghtening exercises when I feel like it I don't really have a specific "exercise plan" but I LOVE running and being active, so I move around a lot Oh, and my dad is gonna sign me up at the gym once i get to 105 lbs. so that i can do some weight training and endurance stuff to improve my soccer |

Oh, one more thing! I started off at 96 lbs. and when I was weighed at the doctors a week or so ago I was 104, but that was after eating a huge restaurant meal with lots of water and lemonade and not going um, numero dos in awhile. I am pretty sure that I am actually about 100-102 lbs. at 5'4. Anyways, my question is, when should I stop trying to gain? My stomach is rounded, especially after I eat, but my arms still look like you could break them with a flick of the fingers, my hands and fingers are veiny and skeletal, and my collarbone sticks out, as do my ribs and spine. Basically, I am a boney mess with a beer belly. Ick, sorry if that is TMI. And I haven't gotten my period back yet, plus my hair is still thinning (luckily I had tons of hair to start with). I have talked to my doctor, and she says that I shouldn't worry about the number, and should just get to whatever weight my body functions best at. But for someone with anorexia, EVERYTHING is about the numbers, and I am terrified that once I have gained the proper amount I won't be able to stop. Can any of you help me figure out which actual weight I should be aiming for? Or just tell me if I am being neurotic and crazy? Thanks so much if you actually read that, I know I am being kinda nutty, but this has been driving me mad |

Today I went on a baking streak! My mom and I made rice krispies treats, which came out really clumpy and strange but still delish, amazingly fudgy brownies, oatmeal raisin cookies, and dinner rolls. And I tried them all, well, excluding the cookies, cause I have never liked those. I played a soccer game and did like 10 miles on a stationary bike, so I tried to eat a bit more than usual. Snack- Dinner- Dessert- I am think about eating something else tonight before bed, but I can't think of anything I actually want. God, why can't I have cravings like normal people? It would make eating so much easier. Spunky-Sheesh, I am so jealous of how easy eating extra is for you. I wish I could just "snack and munch" like you, but it makes me really nervous to eat things I haven't planned to eat. Your menus sound really yummy and you are doing a great job increasing. Squash mango soup sounds really good. My grandma used to make the elephant ear things! Except she did it with homemade mexican bread stuff. Keep up the good work! Skinnyr-Thanks for the advice on exercising. I actually love getting exercise, but I worry about overdoing it and not eating enough to compensate. Your food for today sounds really tastey. Bbq chicken sandwiches are sooooo good, and moose tracks is a freakin delish flavor Dana-I don't really think you should worry about getting to many carbs. My nutrionist tells me I should eat the most of carbs and protein to gain, which is fine so me because I love meat and other proteinish stuff. But carbs are good things, for both weight gain and for a healthy diet in general, so don't worry about getting to much. Aqua-I'm glad you did okay with your dad's birthday dinner. Did you have a good time and enjoy your meal/cake? I love Indian food, especially tandoori chicken or chicken tikka (not really sure what it is called) By the way, my parents were finally able to find a therapist that fits our health insurance. You don't have to answer if this is too personal of a question, but do any of you guys on here go to therapists, and if so, what do you do in it? I am crazy nervous :/ Okay, decided to have the last piece of coffee cake because it is gonna go stale, and some frozen grapes |

Thank GOODNESS I am not trying to lose anymore weight! I am trying to gain weight, and I eat ice cream nearly everyday. I am pretty sure I couldn't live without it! In all honesty, though, I really don't think there are any foods (excluding plain animal fat and high fructose corn syrup straight up) that you can never, ever eat. Everything in moderation, I say. I love McDonalds, and sliced bread, and many other things that people are saying you should never eat. I am pretty sure there is nothing that is going to kill me in my Oroweat whole wheat bread. |

Holy man, so many people have posted since I was last on! Today is gonna be a good day, I can feel it, because it is the first drizzily, cold, and fallish day here, and I have a soccer game. Two of my favorite things! My teeth STILL ache, but at least I can eat kinda solid things, if I mush them up a bit. It makes all my food look really unappealing, but still tasty! Kid's sized frozen yogurt, half chocolate, half strawberry Medium sized fillet of mahi mahi 1/2 cup Whole milk cottage cheese Spoonful of potato slices with cheese (my mom made it and it was really oily and cheesey, so it made me really freaked out :( ) Strawberry shortcake ice cream bar! Cup of Trader Joe's vegetarian chilli with tofu in it My pops took me out for breakfast this morning. So far today I've had- Agru-I am really sorry your dad said that to you. Don't let it bug you too much, though, he probably didn't really realize that what he was saying could affect you like that. Psychoj-Congratulations on the period! Way to go! Gibbit-Yum, your pavlova sounds really delicious. It is one of my favorite desserts, especially this tropical one that has passion fruit puree cream stuff, pineapple, and kiwi. So good! And great job on eating straight out of the panand not measuring out a portion! That is a big step. Aqua- Oh my, pumkin ravioli sounds soooo good. Pumpkin + pasta=freaking amazing! I am definetly gonna try that. I hope you start feeling well soon. Whenever I got sick when I was little, my mom would give me the B.R.A.T. diet, which stands for Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. Really mild but calorie dense stuff is good for you, and drink juice or gatorade for extra fluids! Good luck with your dad's birthday, try not to freak out about eating out. Easier said than done, but at least try! Theo-I get what you mean about hitting walls. I can hardly tell which foods I am really enjoying, and which I am just eating to eat. I lost my taste for foods that used to be my favorites, then when I don't eat them my family gets really pissed off at me. If you are not gaining on 3300, maybe try eating a few more sneaky calories, and upping it to 3500 without increasing mass? Speaking of peanut butter on pizza, last night I was watching a food channel thing about desserts, and they showed this place that served peanut butter and jelly pizza, but not with cheese. It might be delicious, go for it! xfallingstar-Argh, I feel you on wanting a thing that counts calories for you. I wish I could just press some sort of button and a print out of the real amount of calories shoots out from somewhere. Off for now. I gonna watch Superbad then go to my soccer game. Funsy. Good day, all! |

Argh. I haven't posted in so long. I just got my stupid braces tightened and rewired, so I haven't been able to eat anything solid. Ick. Anyway, today I haven't been doing to well calorie-wise because I can't chew. Spek-I have found that I am much more friendly and upbeat when I am eating than when I was basically starving myself. During my "diet" I was always super moodly and annoyed with everything. Aqua-Sorry you are feeling so sick. Make sure you get a lot of extra fluids, like juices or gatorade, to get better and to pump up calories if you don't have much of an appetite. Lulu-Aww, I'm sorry you had such a bad time at the doctor. It is good that you told them about the waterloading, though. When I was just diagnosed with anorexia I would also do that, but I stopped. If you want to avoid the hospital I suggest you eat tons and tons and tons so that the doctors will see improvement. I know what you mean about moms not believing you can gain weight on your own. Every time my mom passes by me she says, "Shouldn't you be eating something" or when I am making food for myself she will get mad if I don't add extra butter or cheese or other stuff like that.
I have a question for everyone. How do you guys eat so dang HEALTHY all the time?! When I am trying to increase my calories I just grab another scoop of ice cream or something. |

Meh. Just made myself a bowl of oatmeal containing 1 cup dry of oats, 3 tablespoons of choco syrup, and 2 tablespoons of peanut butter. It was really tastey (I got the idea from someone else on this forum, thanks!) but I could only finish half. So I am still about 250 calories short for the day (aiming for 2500) plus I played a full game of soccer today and spent 3 hours doing trash cleanup and sidewalk sweeping for this community service thing for school, and manual labor burns a lot of calories so...yikes. Ergh. I want to get up to my goal but I really don't think I could eat much more. Maybe some more peanut butter or some sort of calorie dense bar with some juice...ahhh sorry for the whining, but I'm really tired but don't want to go to bed until I get all my calories. GRRRR |

Hey everybody! Thanks for the feedback on upping my cals. Tonight I am gonna aim for at least 2500. So far I haven't done that well today, but I'm hoping for a big dinner and some snackage. Might have a snack in a little while anyway. Aqua- Eat some of your pie! A slice of it definetly won't kill you, and it is delicious. I know what you mean about freaking out about only eating healthy stuff, but remember to have treats every once in a while too! Dana-I have no idea how much protein I get but I think it is a lot cause I eat meat and cheese (especially cottage cheese, which has a lot of protein) a lot. My hair is still coming out a lot too! That is one of the worst parts of ED for me. Well, that and the whole health thing and being obsessed with calories part... Slr- Sorry that your run got cut short, but good job on the 5k and raising so much money! I could never run that far. As for night time snack suggestions, I like cereal and milk and some hot chocolate, or toast with a topping, anything that is a bit lighter so you don't go to bed overful is good, too. Gibbit-I think it is okay to slip up on the calories a bit, as long as you make up for it. I'm watching the debate tonight with my mom and dad, I have a feeling it will be pretty entertaining! By the way, who else heard about Washington Mutual getting closed and sold. Ahh, the American economy. |
