"Rock Obama lives on our front porch, and that's where he would be happiest." I find that to be a racist statement. |

Original Post by melkor: You do not know me, I have more integrity than that person and would walk away from people that he has sat at a table with. I will not use his name I have zero respect for him and what he represents. Ayers ran and hide, Liddy served four and a half years in prison for his role in the burglary, not domestic terrorism and death of another. That does not mean that I like it, I would not sit with that man either, not after the things he has said. |

I dis-agree with Class_matters. Do not NOT vote, it is a right and honor to do so. This is still a free country and I have every right to complain about someone or something that I dis-agree with (dems). We have way to many people in this country that do not take this process seriously and have any passion for it. I will never let another person silence me on my view points, we will agree to dis-agree and go back to our corners and fight hard for position, this does not mean I have lost my civility, or respect for something. Yes true enough I do not respect a person that knowingly sits on a board with a known domestic terrorist. Have some ethics, morals and respect for yourself and your country, remove yourself and wake up in the morning knowing that you did the right thing. I would like for B.O someday to meet a survivor of one of the people that Bill killed and then B.O can explain to them why he thinks Bill is A.O.K guy. Ask yourself, would you allow yourself or your child to hang with a known child molester? NO I would not. So why is B.O being given a pass for being on a board with Bill a known domestic terrorist? Not true, many of those things have the proof right there on the page from the media source or his actual plan or transcripts. IF you believe them to be not true, then you are saying that the media is not representing his plans as he wrote them. So we can not believe the media or him on anything? Even what he said word for word. |

"Also, both health plans suck. Obama's sucks less, and at least isn't projected to cause ~20 million more people to lose their coverage. A craptacular $5K tax credit doesn't help when insurance costs $12K." noelle31 By B.O's plan you will be paying more, and that wonderful janitor, well he will have to do less cleaning for more of YOUR money coming back to him in the form of "credits". The janitor will also be doing less because the place he works for just closed their doors due to higher taxes and the penalties they had to pay because they can not afford to provide healthcare to the janitor. So said janitor is living off of the welfare system, oh thank you, oh thank you, oh thank you "the ONE". |

But can you honestly say that Palin is the most experienced republican on the planet to serve as VP? No republican would be able to say that. And doesn't that tell you something about McCain's lack of good judgement? Are you serious? Talk about LACK of experience, look at B.O! What does that tell you about the DEMS lack of good judgement. The VP over history has very little to do, as will she in this term. |

So in other words, Tax the people that have worked very hard, or in many cases smarter to make up for the lazy people, the illegials and anyone one that just plainly wants a handout. i get it, dump on the american dream, send more jobs down the drain and over seas.
taxing the healthcare benefits is not a big deal. It opens the "free market" on Healthcare. under the other plan, we will see a system such as france and canada. Talk with any doctor or nurse worth their salt and they will tell you that the Dems plan is a road to disaster for healthcare. |

Original Post by santonacci: What?!?! Please B.O has spent MILLIONS on his ads, and NO one is complaining about that. Oh that is OK these funds coming from OTHER heads of nations (donations are not allowed by creeps outside of the USA), but we get around that by having the money filtered through companies that they invest in. OH then it is OK, please forgive me for talking bad about "the one". Yes the one that WILL put this country in a worse condition than it is right now. he first agreed (signed a contract!!!) to NOT take public funding, then WENT BACK ON HIS WORD! Opps, sorry I bashing "The One" again. Don't tell me it is ALL "Bushs" fault either. Who owns the House and Sen? DEMS! So the Pres has no real power. What is the approval rating of either House or Sen right now? VERY LOW. Who controls them.....DEMS. Are you people serious about putting someone that has no experience in anything other than setting up basketball courts in charge of our country. You are all goo goo ga ga over the fact that he is saying he will give you EVERYTHING and that he is the first black to really make it in the run for the white house. Honestly, his plan simply says give to the (lazy asses) if you have went out and WORKED hard, LIVE the AMERICAN DREAM. So, here it is.................. Your son is in school, he gets A's, your friends kid only gets C's, under B.O's way of thinking, the kid that gets A's is to reduce himself to a B so the poor slob that can only get a C gets a B also, then we all can be the same. Spread the Wealth. OR, your neighbor can not make his house payment, but you have plans for a trip, you are not allowed to go on that trip, you MUST (if you beleive in his way of thinking) give that money to your neighbor so he can make him payment. Even though YOU worked for that money. SPREAD the Wealth. If you vote for him this is your way of thinking also, you can not say no and you MUST give up more of your money. PEOPLE......... He changed his tax plan now so that it includes people who are documented workers. HELLO, the plan before did not say if you had to be working or not!! Lets see, I don't work, and B.O says i will get some of my friends money who works 80 hrs a week to live the AMERICAN DREAM!? WOW sign me up! I vomit to even think that this person (can not call him a man) might make the white house, just makes me sick.

| Weight Loss | Help with "low-carb" questions, please. | Sep 30 2008 22:54 (UTC) |

As i read and understand that all carbs are not created equal. It takes an education (of yourself) to know what carbs are "good" and the ones that are "bad". High fiber foods with low carbs are GREAT!(for me). You net carbs will then be lower. I know there are people that say "you need carbs for energy" and on and on. That may work for them and many others. Using the food log, reading, reading, journals, reading, and yes again reading is what helps me. it is amazing what we put into our body for what we think is fuel, and it is a no wonder that half of our population is over weight, including me!!! How many of you went or are in college? You study hard, get good grades, move on and get a job you like. It took time, dedication, perspiration, frustration, studying, had to give up things you liked. This is no different, think of it as an education for living a long, healthy happy life. The proper diet is not simply..........."Oh, I will limit my cals, cut carbs, and I will be thin and healthy." It is a work in progress, knowing what you eat, listening to your body and adjusting as needed. 5 years from now my diet could be completely different from what it is now. I do not say "Diet" as in the form of I am trying to drop pounds, I say it as a lifestyle.

I agree with GI-Jane, it is a choice that I made based on what I hearmy body telling me. I am sure some people can eat complex carbs in buckets full and not have an issue. I do not seem to have issues with the simple carbs, such as fruits and veggies, it is just the complex ones. I was a heavy, and I mean heavy complex carb eater. I could eat an entire loaf a bread a day, and then go out to eat and down even more bread and complex carbs such as pasta with ease. I never thought I could get away from them due to "thinking" I was addicted to them. Every meal, every snack, everything had to have white bread or white rice or pasta. The complex carbs I do get are only from whole wheat. However, I have so much more energy during the day, I get up without pain in my ankles, I do not feel stuffed after i eat and want to take a nap and on and on without the carbs. I know that sounds strange because carbs are to give you energy, bu it works the opposite way on me. I get tired, I get sluggish and want to sleep. Again, "I" think it is a matter of listening to what your body is saying. We all "think" we know what our bodies need, but we have a system inside us that reacts to what we put into it, and how we work our bodies. We are all good talkers, but very bad listeners and I found if I shut up, and listen my body rewards me with better health and weight loss in the long haul. It is education, knowing your body, knowing your foods and what is in them and trial and error on short trips (4-7 days) with different foods.

IF your body can deal with carbs then 50-60% is OK. However like me, carbs are the enemy, and my body takes them and stores them like we are headed out to the desert! So, I keep mine around 30% or less if possible. I (my body) enjoys way more protein than carbs. It is a trial and error, your body will tell you what it needs over a week or so, and then you can adjust and move on. |

I can not say enough about watching and logging your intake. Eating less cals is all good, BUT every person is diff, and your body will direct you, you need to LISTEN to it. My foods consist of all high protein, very low carbs and the fat content does not seem to be an issue at this point. Beef jerkey, protein bars, eggs, shakes, fish shrimp, peanut butter, tuna, lots of veggies (only low in carb though, same for fruit), fruit, milk, cottage cheese, cheese, turkey bacon, turkey, chicken, salsa, I throw in a subway 6inch from time to time and on and on. I say it one more time, watch the levels and adjust them, if you are not doing well on staying "balanced" by CC pie chart change it up, stay within in the safe limits of cal in take! I found this really helps me drop the pounds and not get stuck and get frustrated. Do not get discouraged, it is a journey, let your body tell you what it wants, eat every 2-3 hours, do not wait time you "are hungry", that is way to late and then you will over eat.

Are you balancing your groups, or does your body say you need something out of one group or the other? Example............... My body does not do well on a larger number of carbs, it likes (loves) higher levels of protein and fat. With the help of CC I found this out. In tracking my weight loss and intake, I found that I do much better at getting over the plateaus by adding more protein and limiting the carbs to a min. Now that is me, every peson is different. You need to check your diet (food log) and see which days you did better on. On top of that for me, I found I drop the pounds well when I work out two days in a row, and take two days off and still eat the same amount between 1750-2000. Just track it and Journal it and you will see what your body is telling you. Don't try and tell your body what you think it needs, it is very good at doing that for you. good luck.

Ok I will bite.........I can not stand to read anymore about the Oh so great savior, he will give all of us in the 95% tax bracket a break, give me a break!!! That is nothing BUT a pile of you know what. Sure I will get a tax break, but then he will tax this, and that and even MORE!!! Oh boy, I even get FREE health care, and and I get $1,000, WOW! Oh and even more, no please stop oh mister wonderful, you have given me Oh so so too much. BOHICA! The Mrs Obama even said they were going to work on giving me more "family" leave time so I can go and see a school play! UMMMM? Who is going to pay my wife for that? Oh that's right, her employer, who by the way just went out of business because he was TAXED for making too much money and working towards HIS American dream. That is the Obama plan, YEA another 4 years of the Jimmy Carter era! Does not know his ass from a hole in the ground. Obama is all PIE in the sky, lets tell them what they want, and then we will not given them any of it, just the increase in taxes part. Same o same o garbage the people here in Wisconsin were feed with our Governor a big fat D. McCain is not all that much better, BUT he is about reform, NOT promising things............................ OK, I am wasting my breath on this crowd. Do you want this election to be about issues? YES, and I want logical answers If so, what issues do you want to talk about, or do you want the candidates to talk about? Immigration, tax reform, oil and gas drilling, straight talk and answers about the economy, less government. How much does the candidate's personalities influence your choice? 50% Will your decision be influenced by any of the debates or is your mind made up? Mind made up, Duh. If you identify with either political party, do you catch yourself forgiving a weakness in your candidate while criticizing the same weakness in the other? No I do not, each candidate should be judged the same on an equal playing field, ISSUES! Example.......Palin has children, BUT is not judged the same as the "other" VP candidate. Why? Because she is a WOMEN. So what, many men are stay at home dads (me) and I am proud to take that role and allow my wife to be the bread winner. I don't care what color, race, religion or gender they are, as long as a person I vote in 1. does what they say (not one yet, other than Reagan), 2. stands up and says "I was wrong" now lets talk and get it fixed. 3. Do not pee on my back and tell me it is raining. 4. Protects this country on every front. 5. Bring down my energy costs. 5. have less red tape to get things done (less governing and more doing) 6. Stop making food fattening! I am hard core republican, HOWEVER if Obama actually had some solid well thought out ideas and it fit me over the other, I would vote that way. Please, seriously, please wake up, take a hard look (deep) into his ideas, is this really going to help? I have to say, no, please don'tdo not buy into the fact that he is black and make the first black president a failure. Give me Condoleezza Rice, give me Colin Powell, I would have voted for either of them in a heart beat. So now the Dave bashing can start.........Lets not actually talk issues, just bash Dave (as in the last time I posted) because he is not for holding hands and smoking the peace pipe. Peace Out GO John and Sarah!!!!!!!
