Weight Loss too much exercise? Jul 13 2009

I try not to weigh myself daily but it's REALLY hard after being so heavy and wanting the gratification of the numbers getting smaller.

I will try what you suggested and do it once a week (once a month is WAY too long for me!)!

Thanks!

Thanks SO much for the help!

I thought I had gotten enough water but apparently not! I will hydrate over the next couple days and limit my workouts to yoga and light weights, see how that works.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to give up my rides, I will push them to 3 times a week and rest the other days (it's just so addicting!).

Thanks again Jane and Epiphany!

Thanks for the input gi-jane!

I set my weight goal a little low so that when I get to the last 10, that is always impossible to lose, I won't kill myself trying to lose it!  I would be happy back at 155/160!  I know not to go too low (in high school I hit 140/145...WAY too low!)

Thanks again!!Laughing

Hey all!  I too am an amazon with weight issues.  After the birth of my last boy I tried to loose the weight but after disappointing results, I gave up.  I am now back in the game and was going strong (15 pounds in 3 weeks!) but have since hit a wall.  Through other forums I discovered that the 1500 calories I was consuming and the 3400 I was spending threw my body into "stavation mode" (duh!!!).  The answer was simple... EAT MORE!!  I am putting myself up to the 1750 that CC recommends.  We shall see.  I have a whopping 65 more pounds to loose and am hoping to have it all gone by next summer.

Good luck girls!

I've been using CC for the last 2 weeks and am LOVING it!  For the first time in my life I am counting calories and watching what I eat.

The forums are such a great resource! I just found out this morning that I am not dropping more weight because I have pushed my body into "stavation mode" and it's holding on to calories for dear life!  Solution (you ready for this one?!) EAT MORE!  I was consuming less than 1600 a day and burning 3400...duh, that screams starving!  Thanks forum buddy (whoever you were!)!!!

Here's my stats- 31 years old, 6 ft tall, mother of a 5 and 2 year old, living in Rochester Hills MI, I like loud music and good beer.  Now for the ugly stuff....

Starting Weight: 240 (on 7/22)

Goal Weight: 160 (give or take)

Last Week: 225 (woo hoo!)

Current Weight: 225 (STILL!)

Weight Remaining Until Goal: 65 annoying pounds!

Total Weight Lost in This Challenge: none yet

Now..tracking your weight is all good and fine but the biggest thing is to track your measurements.  Muscle weighs more than fat and if you are working out but the weight isn't falling off it's probably because of the muscles you are building.  Soon the muscles will burn the fat quickly and the pounds will fall off.  I myself have lost 2.5 off the hips and 1.5 off the chest!

Good luck all! Innocent
