You should start the day with protien, how about a slice of Leedamder Lite cheese, 70 cals a slice, on a rice cake or crispbread? The saying is, dine like a king at breakfast, a prince for lunch and a pauper for dinner. You are not giving your body any fuel to work with on what you have to eat now in the morning. |

Happy Sunday everyone, I could not believe my eyes this morning, I jumped on the scales and what do you know? 255.0 hit me in the eye! I have tossed 100lbs and it's my 8 months anniversary of joining this group tomorrow. You have all helped me so much. Thank you. I know what you mean about photos, I would always hide or better still be the one holding the camera! If it was unavoidable I would try and hide behind someone else or turn sideways in the hope that profile was smaller! I love cauilflower, especially raw in salad or dips but here its £1 (US$1.50) each for a small one, so will have to wait for the price to drop., love the idea of using as a mash. Thanks for the tip Mikey about mixing up the routines to trick the body, all these tips help. Sun, glad you found what you were looking for. I am coming to the US next month and cant wait to hit Walmart! All my clothes are now getting so loose, I have had to put elastic in my skirts to hold them up and I too have now tossed my size 14 undies (or briefs) I cant get any here that fit me well, so I come to the US to buy in bulk sizes 12,13 and 14 depend what was is stock so now I'm clearing them out. Its really made me happy today. My weight this month has been really strange, bouncing about, up one day and down the next and changing as much as 1.6lbs in a day, all weighing at the same time of day in the same clothes, I have tried to look past this and stick to my routine and it has paid off, I thought I wouldnt make my 1st April target of 255, but I have surprised myself and its here today. I just hope it doesnt bounce up again too much by 1st. Good luck everyone for the 1st. Just need some sun and warmth here and it will feel like spring. Christine |

Happy Saturday everyone, I have been busy with work things and worries over family so my eye has been off the ball lately. When I feel as though I want to binge I like to come on here and read how well you are all doing, it stops me eating and motivates me. I dont have a friend who can help me here they are all skinny and dont understand me. Also the kitchen is 'miles away' from my computer so I can't just eat-at-will. I lost a lot with not too much problem but now its down to a crawl or its bouncing all over the place. I couldnt bear it any more yeaterday and ate everything in sight, in no special order, then when I went to bed I felt sick!!! Physically and emotionally, needless to say the scale responded this morning with a kick in the teeth. I need to pull my socks up and get going again, the !st will be with us soon. Only downfall I can see is its Mother's Day in the UK tomorrow and both my boys are coming, we usually have a big chinese meal, so may have to write-off tomorrow. Roll on Monday, glad the sun is now shining and the weather is warming up. Have a good week-end everyone. Christine |

Hi all. Can I come to BBQ too? I have tried the Waldens Farm dressings from Publix and they are calorie and carb free!!!!! You could make a low cal version potatoe salad with that and a pasta salad, only need to count the veggies. I feel like being cheered up, on a plateau at the moment and and weakening, am being good but the scales arent co-operating. They are they same if not a pund more than my 1st March weigh-in. |

Hi all, hope you have sunshine where you are, its lovely at the moment here. Here are my stats for the month, glad everyone is coping with the ups and downs. Heres to a good march on to April fools day. SW: 355 FEB 1ST: 278.8 MARCH 1ST: 264.6 TOSSED 90.4lbs Am so pleased. Dancing all round the room, met my personal target of 265, new target 255 for 1st April to make 100lbs tossed. Will try hard but a lot going on at the moment. Good luck to all. |

I think it is an ideal time for parents to explain to children about disability or any differences in people. We are not all the same, some wear glasses, some red hair some spots some fat some thin. All children should ne taught at an early age to love everyone, we cant help being what we are! |

Kristy, sorry to hear about your pay cuts. Try re-reading the posts and avoid giving in to temptation, That is how I manage. Hope all works out for you and your sister. Katy, great news you lost that week-end slip full speed ahead now for the next weigh-in. Sun, I have been to Disney a few times but pre 2000. I mainly go to visit my sister who live near to the main attractions. I havent been since as I cant fit in chair etc, etc, etc. But who knows, maybe next year I wont feel the freak that I was then. I only went them because of my boys who were around 10yrs old. Cinn, loved the poem, reading it made me cry. I was thou someone was writing from MY heart. It is difficult to love yourself when others dont. I never look in mirrors cos I cant bear to see the reflection. Norma Jean, Hang-on in there. I too am struggling at the moment with family problems and wanting to eat all and everything but ... tomorrow is a new day get back to it and make healthy choices, I try to think of the medical problems I will avoid if only I cany stick to it. The doc has just started to reduce the meds for me so it all helps. I thinking of you, (((((hug))))). Joy, I too am struggling but hang-on get trying, and get back on course as soon as you can, it will be easier once you are back home and in control. In the meantime every hour you can stick to the plan it a 'gold star' for you. Mikey, great loss, what a good start. Dont be disappointed in it isnt the same every week. You'll make us all envyous. Jayne, first love the photos of you, you look like a whole different person. Kindal, yes I agree even though we are big it does seem as though we are invisible. Some people just ignore me, I donr get answers and feel rejected by society. If I post on here (outside our group) it is ages for a reply, but then I am in the UK so there is a time difference as well, I am so impatient I want it all now and hate to wait for anything. I stick to 1400 calories a day. I have low cal soup to start and no-suger jelly with low-cal yoghurt for desserts. My main meals are fish, chicken or soya meat subsitutes. Lots of veg, mushrooms, runner beans, brussel sprouts or salads with Waldens Farm dressings. For breakfast I have just porrige oats made with water, or 50g of a cereal (185 cals) plus simmed milk and a cup of tea. I save as many calories as I can for the evenings so I can nibble. Victoriagirl, arnt you clever, wish I could sew and make clothes, You look fab in your picture. Its nice when you can fit into your old clothes, I know what you mean I have a lot but the styles change and there is no-way I can wear them now but I cant bear to throw them out either. Topeze, glad your OK and back on track. Please put the last few days behind you, tomorrow is another day, good luck. Cinn, Sorry you were sick, hope you much better now. We did miss you. Like you I feel like I am coming home when I visit our group, you all seem like family to me. ((((hugs all round)))). First, a big 300+ club welcome to Kindal, I think its this group that will make the difference for all of us this time, we have all tried and failed in the past, but lets be honest, no-one knows the pain, struggle, problems, despair and suffering we all go through. It is only people like us that understand, we sympathise and share your pain, we will do it together. It wont be an overnight job but where else would we rather be. Hang on in there Glen, we all have these damn plateau's it will pass and you will wonder why it will suddenly start to move. Just believe you are fitter and heathier because of what you are doing. Think of the weight loss as being a prize, look forward to it. Jayne, what can I say the previous members have said it all and I agree with every word. YOU are wonderfull, you deserve to be the latest member of the onderland club, because of all the hard work you put in to losing the weight and helping all of us to keep on track, you are my guardian angel, hero, and role modle. Kristy, I agree with Jayne, but it is your choice. We would all support you here whatever you do. Jayne, Onederland is very soon here to stay for you, well done on your latest effort. If it helps spur you on, today I got on the scales this morning to 270.8 and have just tossed 84.2lbs, it means I have crossed the 6st tossed barrier, like you I have I stay there now. On to March 1st and I am looking for the 6's with a 265lbs target for the next weigh-in. Sadly my tradmill has just gone wrong so it is unusable for a while so it may jepodise my progress. Hope all has a good week. |

Hi everyone, just a quick shot of good news. After a few rubbish days with family problems I have just been to the doctors and he is reducing my BP meds. I have tossed 80lbs since 30th July and my BP readings are consistantly low, so that is good. I cant just stop taking one of my pills so he is reducing the dose gradually with the hope I can come off the betablocker completely. Hope everyone is staying focused, dont forget February is a short month and the 1st March will be here before we know it. |
