Thanks a bunch! One of the reasons why i gained 10 lbs was because i had forgotten the password and then was too lazy to deal with typing in the big ol' digit password they give you if you need a new one. I credit you with my new start! |

It has lots of polyphenols, which are really good antioxidants. It is a great way to get caffiene and it is much more gentle than coffee. It tastes good too, but I usually put a LOT of milk and sugar in it, so it pretty much tastes like milk + sugar + a little leafy, earthy taste to me |

Original Post by caloricat: Okay, FIRST OF ALL, DONT YOU KNOW YOUR ART PERIODS? William Bougereau was a contemporary of impressionist artists in the height of impressionism. He didn't like impressionism, so he kept a much more classical style to all of his paintings. Knowing this is important because impressionism reached its peak in the very late 1800's in FRANCE. Most French art has been preserved quite nicely. And again, knowing your art periods is important so you can do a bit of simple math: All of the paintings that I referenced were 120 years old or less. They are practically babies. During the impressionist period in France, art was not for the shock value (or at least not until Toulouse-Lautrec's time, but that's another story). It was to create something that mirrored the ideal and the beautiful. |

Okay, you're right: They aren't fat. They are all around my weight level. And the Bougereau looks just like me. Hehe. But they certainly arent skinny. I agree with your sentiments about fat being in the right places in the right time. I think the Bougereau is French, the Source is French, and the Impressionist one is French, and Toulouse-Lautrec is certainly French (they all come from the Musee D'orsay) |

Best healthy guacamole recipe ever (made by me) Mush up 2 avocados Put 1 minced tomato in there with the mushings cut up a shallot into teensy pieces and stick it in squeeze some lime juice in there add a crapload of cilantro and then add salt to ur taste. I eat it with a spoon, not chips. Better for you, and you get more guac per square inch of tongue

Plus her skin tone is gorgeous EVEN THOUGH its not tan. I would call it "alabaster". Some paintings that you may want to look at: William Bougereau's Birth of Venus I forget who did it but Chaste Susannah At The Bath The Tub (the impressionist one) The Source and a fair number of Henry Toulouse-Lautrec's women in the brothels that he painted. |

I have a friend who is a university student and she pretty much subsists on beans n' lentils n' rice, which she buys in enormous 20 or 30 lb bags. Buying stuff in big quantities usually makes it cheaper per lb. Plus, stuff that comes in bags that size tends to spoil later than other stuff. Good luck! |

I was in 2nd grade. My teacher and her British fiance were reading Matilda to us when an administrator walked in and announced that 2 planes had crashed, and I remember loving her fiance's velvety voice and crusty accent so much that I was quite upset that he stopped reading. I thought that planes crashed all the time, and nobody specified that they had crashed into a building until later that day. When I got home my mom and dad tried to explain it to me, but I hugged a green pillow tight to my chest, and refused to let them. My father was reading "The Hobbit" to me at that time. He had promised that my two favorite dwarves wouldn't die, but in the final battle they did, and I remember being far more upset about that than anything else. I cried for 2 days because of poor Owin and Glowin. My babysitter and one of my best friends at the time, Arun, was Indian. He was a big guy, and pretty muscular. He was really sweet and kind and smart, and I remember him being pulled over and brought down to the station multiple times in the following years because he looked markedly Middle-Eastern. Or maybe just 'cause he had brown skin. |

| Vegetarian | Is Tofu/soy products Kosher? | Sep 11 2008 21:23 (UTC) |
2 |
Tofu and soy products are certainly Kosher. In fact, Orthodox Jews have been using soy dairy for a long time because eating milk and meat together is strictly forbidden, or even consuming milk after meat before 1 hour is up. And doing that can get a little cumbersome, so they use soy milk. Incidentally, there is one ice cream sandwich, Toffutti Cuties, which uses soy and it is SO GOOD. All vegetables are kosher. Here is a list of non-kosher foods according to the Torah: Shrimp/Lobster Fish without scales (such as eel) or bottom feeding fish (such as catfish) Pork Insects with more or less than 6 legs Milk & meat together "Thou shalt not consume a calf in its mother's milk" (This is a BIG no-no. Wealthy Orthodox Jews sometimes used to have 2 seperate kitchens, one for meat and one for dairy.) Baby animals, although this depends on who you talk to. Sephardic (Middle Eastern and Spanish Jews) tend not to have a problem with eating baby animals, but most Ashgenazi (European) Jews do. Hope that was helpful!!!!
