ohhhh gees...my mouth is watering reading through this list.  I am an absolute SUGAR FIEND.

1. Chocolate chip cookie dough blizzards

2. homemade chocolate chip cookies (mm with nuts and coconut)--or maybe just the cookie dough ;-)

3. Seven Layer bar

4. Cheesecake with graham cracker crust

5. Butterfingers/Reeses Cups--its a toss up

Arrrgh...why can I only choose 5?  How about top 50? haha

I'm 5'8, about 130 and also a size 8.  Its weird how the weight number has little relation to size.

Thanks for all the quick responses!  Its nice to be able to clear my head about this.  I really appreciate all the advice.  i'm going to have a talk with my boyfriend about using condoms.  I also think I will make use out of the student health services here at my university and get a check out.  I tend to be a worry wart and I'm starting to see that I shouldn't be so paranoid about this.

Am I missing something?  You've been on the pill for years, right?  Then you're not pregnant.  I mean, there's always a miniscule chance with any sort of birth control, but I really don't understand your question.  You were on the placebo for a week, during which you should have had your period.  Have you missed taking the pill?

Sorry if I'm being unclear.  It is probably no big deal, but I have just no idea why I'm worried about this.  I had my period for the week I was on placebo pills, but skipped some of them because i assumed they were "fake" pills that weren't exactly necessary to take.  Its only bad if I skip the active pills correct?  I have not missed any of those.

You're right, he only told me about the test.  He did make the appointment when I was in the room so I know that at least he went.  I trust him and I guess I just don't see the incentive about lying to me to give me a disease.  But, I guess I can understand your suspicions and will ask to see proof..

and yes, I had my period the week of the placebo pills.  We had sex the first day after it ended.

Thanks for the replies.  Just for the record, he went to the doctor to get tested to make sure he had no STDs before we had sex.  I would never have had sex without a condom unless I had been on birth control.  I just had always been taking it for a different reason and wasn't exactly sure if there were times in the cycle when it was unsafe to have sex.  Is "pulling out" not even worth it as a secondary form of birth control?  I apologize if I sound young and stupid.

1. If you could live on two foods for the rest of your life...what would they be (only 1 choice is far too brutal)
Ice cream and mushrooms (blech, not together)

2. When you stay at a hotel, what are your fave items to order from room service?

Hmmm, never done that before.  But I love the fresh made cookies they have sometimes at check-in :-)

3. What food do you hate, just because of the smell?
I'd have to say Tuna.  I hate the smell, but don't mind eating it sometimes...

4. What is your best and fave dish to cook up?
I loooooove baking and trying to make healthy-ish versions of bars/cookies/cakes.  But I love making stir-fries and sweet potato fries too!

5. Is there something you'd love to be able to cook but can't?
I'm terrible at making curries!  Everytime I've tried they have turned out disasterous.  I'm better with baking than cooking

6. What is your fave type of cupcake?

Hmm don't eat a lot of cupcakes.  But I love basically any kind of cake.......chocolate, yellow w/chocolate frosting, carrot cake w/ cream cheese frosting....*drool*

7. Do you have any food allergies that limit your choices? Do you get annoyed or live with them easily?
Nope

8. Choose a restaurant you go to all the time, what is the dish you always order?
I got to perkins/village inn pretty often and always get pancakes!!  We also order pizza a lot and I LOVE VEGGIE PIZZA (especially with extra mushrooms)

9. What are you fave condiments and sauces?

I love ketchup with scrambled eggs, but not with my fries.  Weird? lol

I like ranch dressing with a lot of stuff, but try not to eat it that much.

I like mustard a lot because it is pretty low-cal.  Honey mustart is DEEElicous but not exactly low cal ;-)

10. What food smell do you love the most?
Cookies baking...mmmmmmm

Young Calorie Counters 5'7" or 5'8" girls! What size are you? Jan 25 2009

5'8" 19 years old!

Don't have a scale here at school, but last time I checked I was about 131-132 lbs.  I wear 7/8 size jeans and small tops!  I have a thin upperbody (thin arms and relatively flat stomach), but geeeeeez I have wide hips and thick legs.  I want to be 120-125, but have a sinking feeling that I will just continue losing it in my upperbody and not my legs :-(.  So I am concentrating on weight lifting and hoping I can change my body shape with muscle....

Hi thanks for all the good suggestions!  I actually arleady know what I'm going to get :-P (the mushroom ravoili *drool*) but I was just wondering if it was allowed to order the smaller lunch portion at night. (it changes the calorie count from like 670 to 430!)   I guess I'm just asking here first because I'm going out with a guy on a date and I don't really want to be turned down by the waitress when I'm ordering! LOL

Yeah, maybe 19 and 24 isn't such a big difference.  I don't see it as a big problem, but maybe he does.  I think I do owe it to myself to tell him how I feel, so I can stop torturing myself.  I just need to figure out a way to say it.  I should definitely do it face to face right?  Thanks for the kind words everyone!

Thank you so much for the replies :-)  I agree with both somehow.  I think that if by now nothing has happened, nothing will happen and I need to move on.  But I also know that the best relationships form out of good friendships.  He obviously likes spending time with me, so maybe I'll give it time.  But you're right, it really is soul-destroying to act like a friend and hide my true feelings.  I just don't know how to tell him how I feel.  Does anyone think that 24 to 19 is too big of an age difference?  I think we are at a similiar maturity level but sometime I think that hes afraid that he'll look like hes using me.

Oi, ok Day 1...again! lol.  I did so well yesterday until dinner time!  We had guests over again..for the third time this week!  gah!  We had homeade chicken alfredo, eggplant, and kale (which was really good and nutitious lol) BUT THEN we had chocolate chip bars and homeade ice cream.  I had about half the pan (no joke) and a big old bowl of ice cream.  I probably had around 3000 calories.  Which actually isn't sooo bad, considering my past of alllll day binges to the point of almost throwing up (unintentionally).  And when I went to bed I was full but I wasn't disgustingly sick to my stomach.  Which was good.  I took a lot of will power to stop because I could have done mucccccch worse.  Hey at least I went on an hour walk with my mom afterwards lol.  So right back on track today and hopefully it didn't affect me too much.  I still haven't weighed myself for like a week and i'm a little nervous!  BTW, is this group having a weigh-in?!  I think that would be fun!  Good luck everyone else, Monday is a new start! :-)

Hello everyone!  Half way through the weekend, how is everybody doing?!  So I'm proud of myself-Day 4 (almost) complete.

Yesterday night (the get-together my family had) went great!!  Luckily there was a vegetable plate so I piled my plate with celery, carrots, cucumbers (and some fruit salad) and had it all with salsa instead of dip!  It was actually very satisfying.  I did however end of having a slice of the triple chocolate cake, which was AMAZING.  I justified it because they were such small pieces!  32 pieces in the  whole thing.  Plus I'm proud that I was able to enjoy just one and not feel the need to binge-so actually i'm happier that I was able to do that than deprive myself completely.  A lot of the time i'm all or nothing, so If i screw up a little i'm like oh welllllll might as well just polish the rest off lol.

Anyways, its getting hard because I'm sooooooo hungry all the time.  I'm eating about 1200-1300 calories a day, and I think my body is used to getting a lot a lot more :-)

Thanks for the warm welcomes!!  So I have finished Day 2 and ready for day 3!!  But I'm also really nervous because today my family is having a good-bye party for a friend and there will be mass amounts of delicious food!  My sister made a triple layer chocolate cake with french silk frosting in between!  Now is 3 LAYERS really necessary?  It took everything I had not to lick the bowl last night!!  I think I'm not going to have a piece because i'm sure that if I have one piece i'll want another and another.   Hopefully, that doesn't backfire and i end of bingeing on it.  At least there will be a lot of people there so I won't stuff my face because that would be embarassing.  But hopefully I can go straight to bed afterwards and not help put everything away! lol.  I hope everyone has a good Friday!

Hey everyone!  Can I join?!  I have a big problem binging ever since I started "dieting."  This summer has been the worst because i've had so much free time=boredom=binging! I've probably binged almost every other day. I've gained about 8 lbs in the past month and i'm ready to take them off!  I hate the feeling like i'm backtracking so i'm just going to pretend this is my starting point right now at : 134.2.  I'm starting college in the Fall so I'm thinking some of this is related to being nervous and anxious for this whole new life change.  And probably a fear of the freshman 15 (haha good logic, gain 15 before college so I won't gain it in college.....wow)  So I'm totally in and yesterday i didn't binge so today is Day 2!
