YEA!!! I was so disappointed last week when I did not show any weight loss when I had been very faithful to my diet that week. Great reward! I just continued to stick with my program, and this week I see results for both weeks at once. Good luck to all of us!

I'm so disappointed as I weighed this morning! I have had very good luck on my diet this week. Logging everything I eat, staying below my calorie target, and having a deficit between my my calorie intake and those I burn every day - yet I am exactly the same weight this morning as I was last week. This does not seem right. I'm sure I need to exercise more, but I did exercise twice last week, which is twice more than I would have done if not really trying. Well - perhaps it will show next week if I just keep at it.

Hi all, I'm so glad to have found like-minded folks to share the journey with.  I love meeting new people of all ages, and hope you will add me to your friends list - and reply to me directly as well as to this forum.

I am 64 years old. My husband of 46 years and I live in a small town in a beautiful rural area where we have diverse scenery in every direction. Within an hour I can be in either beautiful high mountain areas or in desert red-rock country, where there are many trails to enjoy riding my ATV.

I retired 2 years ago and love being available to help my grown children when they need me. (That is if I'm home.) My husband and I have traveled some, and spend our winters in Arizona.  I have 5 married children (therefore 3 wonderfun sons-in-law and 2 teriffic daughters-in-law), 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-granddaughters.

I have considered myself to be over weight all my life - but as I look back now, I'd be very happy to weight what I did when I was 35 years old (and thinking I was really overweight). I've been successful in loosing down to my goal weight 3 separate times in my life, but each time have gained all the weight back (plus a lot more), till now I am looking at over 100 pounds of excess weight. I've tried every diet from Weight Watchers to Medifast, and know that I have got to change my eating habits and life style to make a lasting difference - not only in my weight but in my health.

I've been lucky that my health has not been worse till now, but my eating habits have caught up with me! I've got to loose the weight now because I'm looking at heart problems, knee & hip pain, high cholesterol, HBP, and many other problems. This is the best time of my life - and I want to live to enjoy it!

I can use all the help I can get. I Hope to make new friends here to help me meet my goals. I'm looking forward to meeting some of you through this forum!

Hi Yarroc,

I found your Feb. and March posts in the library - and really identified with them. I'm wondering if you are still active on CC. I'd be interested to know how you are doing now. I'm older by 12 years, but have had similar challenges all my life. I'd like to hear from you.

Weight Loss Status: Lost 25 lbs, 25 lbs to go! Aug 02 2008

Congratulations! I just joined CC yesterday, although I've been working on this diet for 2 weeks. I can't wait till I can celebrate loosing my first 25 pounds! I promised not to weigh myself until the end of the first month of my diet, and the weight I posted yesterday was actually the weight I started with 2 weeks ago - so we'll see how I've done in a couple of weeks. Keeping track of everything I eat on my log is time consuming, but a really great motivator. I only have myself to report to - and if I've committed to listing everything that goes into my mouth (except water) it makes a big difference in not taking those tiny bites of stuff that really add up to big calories at the end of the day.

Thanks for sharing your success with all of us! Enjoy your new shoes!
