It's been ages since I've been on here.  I guess I can only say that life happened and as I was dealing with the stress of it all, my weight shot up super rapidly.  I clocked in at the doc at 243...a number I haven't seen in years!  I have been feeling the gain in my clothing and can see it in my face :(  I know it's right before Thanksgiving which makes this even harder, but I truly need to rededicate making myself healthier a priority at this point.  I've had a lot of changes lately that should help as far as stress goes but definitely could use some support now.

hey! how's everyone doing?  I've been trying to keep up w/ this as much as possible...making the total lifestyle change is so hard for me this time!  i keep wanting the results but haven't made the 100% committment thus the constant fluctuation in wieght ....ugh...oh well...so far i've not made much progress but am sticking with it.  I'm going to try to do more meal planning this week to help and i've been great about getting back to the gym.  it takes time to see results but i LOVE how i feel after a good workout.

Kim, I'm also a therapist and one of the things i tell my clients all the time who struggle with depression is to get out and get moving.  it gets those endorphins going and will elevate the mood.  even if you start out small by just walking.  try doing some self cheerleading and self talk to get going ....and....sometimes you jsut have to fake that motivation until you make it real :)

welcome aboard! 160 is a very reasonable goal.  Right now, I'm just hoping to break the 200 mark at this point.  Setting smaller easily attainable goals helps a lot for me.  I also only let myself weigh in once a week.  I've set CC to my homepage so each time I open my browser its there looking me in the face so I dont miss an entry and am aware of where I stand each day. Good luck!

Hi!  i'm 25 years old and am 5' 3" at 233 right now (ekks only 3lbs away from my life time peak!)  I had lost about 27 lbs with diet and exercise about 2 years ago and have slowly gained it all back.  I think a lot of it is due to my job.  It's high stress and I work from my car driving around all day so I never know where I'll be or when or if I'll have time to eat.  I come home and am too emotionally drained to workout on some days.  I've recently tried wieght watchers but I found i was spending my points on non-nutrious stuff and was not doing anything to move the scale.

I started CC on 8/1 and am going to give it a good shot.  I love the analysis and charts and stuff...it's just that I need that extra push to really make it to the gym and find healthy alternatives for foods when I'm out.  Support is much needed especially when, as 20 somethings, so much of our social lives involve food.

My goal is to be 160 by May 1, 2009.
