The McD's here will allow you to order just a plain piece of grilled chicken for $1 (provided you actually order something else - you can't just go in and order the grilled chicken). Anyway, I usually get two side salads from the $1 menu and a piece of chicken for lunch if I go there. They give you two packs of dressing since you are ordering two salads, but I always take one pack home for when I have salad at home. Decent lunch, and it's only $3. |

183.2 AGAIN this morning. LOL! I think I'm gonna be up a bit in the morning, though. I can feel it - le brassiere is a bit tight. I'll never see highschool weight again, but that is a good thing. I probably weighed 90-95 pounds around graduation. I weighed a "whopping" 99 pounds when I got married at age 20. Most I had ever weighed in my life. Ex-husband bought me lingerie for our honeymoon and bought a size large. |

I looked back at my chart on here, and I have been at 183.2 since May 15. Not a single variance from it. Not 183.3, not 183.1. 183.2 EXACTLY since May 15. After about 4-5 days of that, I thought the scale was going bad or the batteries needed replaced. So, weighed with clothes on and with holding a bottle of laundry detergent (ok, it was handy at the moment) and came up with different numbers than 183.2. So, it's not stuck. It's me that's stuck. LOL! Oh well, this is my week to 'retain water' so staying 183.2 is a good thing, I guess. Here's hoping for a nice weightloss next week. |

I'm going to tank up on water this week and see if that helps. My weight loss this weeks seems to have stalled. I've been at 183.2 for probably 5 days now, but I got dehydrated over the weekend being outside and I don't think I've rehydrated yet. Hopefully that will kickstart things again. Despite my sucky weigh-in for this week, it looks like the green team is going to lead this week as well. |

Original Post by sarahc09: Oh, that is SOOOOOOOO going on my white board as the quote of the week for this week. As a matter of fact, I may write it with a Sharpie. I'll have a loss this week, but it won't be a big one. Really surprised, too, as I didn't go eat at my mom's house this weekend (that's when I get in trouble). So, we'll see. I won't have more than a 1lb weight loss, though. As of yesterday, I was only down 0.6 from the Sunday before. But, I guess that's better than up. |

Original Post by bhmoore: I have a plastic cup that holds, I don't know.........probably close to a 1 liter of water. I sell on ebay and have a scale that measures to the 1/10th ounce. I actually weighed it full of water one day (used the tare button to reset it so was weighing just water, not water and cup), and it was just a little over 2 pounds. So, now when I step on the scale, I know that up to 2 pounds can just be from drinking water late in the day. That helps me not freak out over a 2 pound gain. I think a gallon weighs a little over 8 pounds. A friend of mine works construction, and it's not unusual for him to lose 10-12 pounds during the day just from working in the heat. Water weighs a lot more than people think. |

Everybody is doing great! I was proud of my 2lb loss, but now that I see others on the team have lost 4 and 5 pounds, I need to kick it up a bit. As to the show, Estella and Jerry..........WOW is all I can say. I think it's great that despite going home the first week, they did so well and Jerry won the "at home" prize. That goes to show you don't have to be on the program to be successful. (However, I think being retired and having time to work out did give them an advantage over the average person who is working and raising kids doesn't have. Aubrey didn't look like she had lost anything after going home, and actually looks like she's gained some.) I'm not a fan of Helen, either, but she did do a good job and looks really good. I was hoping Tara would win and could use the money to get a house and get out of her parent's place. I think it would be good for her. Mike was too young to really appreciate the prize money, but he did a great job, too. I'm hoping that if Max can't manage to get the weight off on his own, that he will be given a chance to be on the show when he turns 18. I'm afraid that if he isn't given the same opportunity that Mike had, there will be a life long amount of jealousy there. And, having a sister 2 years younger than me, I know exactly what it's like to try to help them and share your insights and knowledge - the youngsters just don't appreciate it. LOL! You can tell that Max is a having a hard time dealing with it. Sure, he says he's proud of Mike and I'm sure he is, but deep down, he's a bit disappointed that he didn't have the same opportunity. I just hope the producers have it in their heart to give him that same chance should he still be overweight when he turns 18. |

Hi everybody! My name is Theresa. I am 38 and live in the Nashville, TN area. I was always underweight and only weighed 162 the day my daughter was born. That quickly dropped off and I was back down to my pre-baby weight. But, about 6 months later, I gained 60 pounds and got up to 199 pounds in 3 months time. My daughter is now almost 9 years old, and I've been battling that extra weight since then. I did lose 30 pounds about 4 years ago, but eventually gained back 15 of that and have pretty much maintained at that for the past few years. I may lose 5-10 pounds here and there, but always gain it back. I would love to just get back to the 162 I was at when she was born AND STAY THERE. LOL! I was here a year or so ago and dropped to 171, but gained it all back over the next 6 months. My incentive to come back is because I am taking my daughter to Disney World in July and I would like to just be able to walk the park. I'm back on the treadmill, and while my main goal isn't necessarily to lose weight, I'm hoping it comes with the territory. I'm just trying to get to the point where I can walk more than a few hundred feet without having to stop and rest. I admit that I'm terribly out of shape. I also tend to plateau every 10 pounds, and breaking that 170 mark just never seems to happen. I've been tracking my calorie intake, and it ranges from 1300-1500 every day, so I think my main problem is getting off my butt and getting some exercise. |

We all mess up every once in awhile. Just get back on track now and don't use this as an excuse to slip up again. I know a lot of times I'll slip and my thinking is "oh well, once didn't hurt me so one more won't either." There is a recipe on here somewhere for a 100 calorie/slice cheese cake. It's made from cottage cheese and is actually fairly decent. |

Nah - my knees will never allow me that opportunity. But, I did get out and do some yardwork that day. I think it was probably the hottest day we've had this season. |

Don't laugh, but my biggest OMG moment occurred after I went to bed one night. I turned over and the fat rolls didn't pinch. I didn't have to adjust the fat rolls!!! I've also had the "OMG, my thighs aren't rubbing together when I walk" moment, too. Unfortunately, I gained some of my weight back, so I'll get to experience that OMG moment again. |

You look much healthier now. I understand what you mean by your mind tricking you. I got married at age 20 and weighed 99 pounds at the time - the heaviest I had ever been. I thought I was normal weight at the time. It never crossed my mind that I may be underweight. I feel best and look best around 150 - something I didn't realize until after my daughter was born. I weighed 155 when she was born and everybody kept commenting on how tiny I was to be 9 months pregnant, but I felt huge. I lost most of the baby weight pretty fast, but then gained it all back plus some about 6 months later. I didn't have boobs until then, either. Now, I can proudly claim to be sporting a 38C. That's probably the best thing about gaining weight. I no longer have to shop in the kids department for a bra. LOL! |

| Motivation | My vow this week is............ | May 05 2009 02:26 (UTC) |
54 |
I fell off the wagon about 7 months ago and I vow this week to get back on track. I want to start by being meticulous about logging everything I eat. I truly don't think I'm overeating, but rather under exercising. But, I may very well be surprised after logging everything this week. Also, I realized this weekend just how out of shape I was, so I want to get back on the treadmill (that is currently covered with boxes and junk stacked on it). I want to do 5 miles before Saturday. I know that's not a major goal, but considering I can probably only do 1/4-1/2 mile without stopping to rest..... I am taking my daughter to Disney in late July and want to actually be able to walk the park without having to stop and sit every few minutes. TTOM here, too. |
