Miraclemom I have been on synthroid for 15 years. I am your height and fight my weight constantly. I just had my annual blood test and found that I was now pre-diabetic as well. I started counting my calories and bought a bicycle so I could really enjoy my excerise and also started the balance ball routine. I am 62 and in 8 weeks I went from 163 to 150. The dr. said I do not need to see him again until next year my goal weight is 130. I hope to achieve that by the 1st of Feb. I found that journaling my foods and activities help to keep me on track. I would suggest that you cut 500 calories from the 1900 to lose weight. the 1900 is to maintain your weight. Make sure to eat plenty of veg. fruit and the right amount of protein. |

I use the Zone Chocolate protein shake as a meal replacement ,usually lunch. I'm 61 and do strengthening and core exercises to build and tighten muscles. I have to lose 20 more lbs. It also satisfies my taste for chocolate! |

I have had knee surgery. Another good exercise besides swimming is just walking at a nnice pace. I walk 4 miles everyday. I worked my way up to that it took me 3 months. |

I love my mother but I don't want to be her. She has so many illnesses all because she was overwieght and sedentary. I am now at age 62 their care giver and it's very hard. I need to stay healthy to keep up with my hubby and grandchildren and take care of my 85 year old parents. |

I agree with the Kashi bars I like the Pumkin Spice with flaxseed. Drink a 16 oz bottle of water and full for quiet a while. |

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
