iPhone : Measuring net calories with the iPhone app (FAQs)

Calorie Count's iPhone app includes a net calorie scale for determining how many excess calories have been burned vs consumed (or vice-versa).  The net calories screen is available by clicking the "Calories" header on the dashboard.

The activity portion (left-hand side) of the scale includes "assumed" calories which are based upon your personal metabolic data and assumed activity expenditure determined from your activity level.  The activity portion also includes a "logged" calories contribution, representing the calories burned for the activities explicitly logged in your activity log.

The indicator specifies if the net calories will result in weight loss (deficit), weight gain (excess), or weight maintenance (unchanged).
