Community : Role of moderators (FAQs)
Many people who come to this website are inexperienced dieters and turn to public forums for advice. We feel obligated to ensure that they get the best possible advice, and have therefore recruited a group of very active and knowledgeable volunteers to help us out with that task.
In addition to ensuring that the Posting Guidelines are followed, they also occasionally move misplaced posts to appropriate forums, start their own topics that they find important sharing, and generally make sure that the forums provide factual and easy to find information.
Journals, in contrast, are not moderated, and provide you with the opportunity to express yourself in ways that may be inappropriate for the public forums.
