General : How many calories should I be eating every day? (FAQs)
You can use our free online tool to determine the calories needed to reach a goal weight. Basically, any value lower than the number of calories you burn daily will result in weight loss. However, cutting your caloric intake too drastically can be unhealthy and often results in a regain of all of the lost weight.
A daily calorie deficit of 500 calories will result in weight loss of about one pound a week. It is generally not recommended to consume less than 1,000-1,200 calories per day.
