Cedar Point Hotels

I'm taking my son to Cedar Point in a few weeks and we'll be staying for 2 nights.  Can anyone recommend an inexpensive and close hotel?  I've done a search but can't make up my mind.  We just need something cheap and clean! Thanks!!

If you mean the Cedar Point in Sandusky, nothing is cheap there because of Cedar Point, Kalahari, and the other waterparks.  Your best bet is to look right outside of Sandusky and drive in, or check out the camp grounds and pitch a tent.

Thanks, my idea of "cheap" is around $70-80 a night.  Anything within a 5-mile radius will do!

I think we stayed at the red roof inn. it was right on the water and the best "cheap" hotel I had stayed in before.  Had breakfast there too and a  water taxi I believe to get back to the park.  I remember it being about half the price of the breakers and such, but this was also ten years ago...

I'm sure you can find something within 5 miles that will suit your budget. Google Sandusky, Ohio and find a list of the hotels/motels in the area. There should be a good list on the official Sandusky site. There is a plethora of mom and pop motels because of Cedar Point and the charter fishing industry in the area.
