Why do celebs lie about there height and weight and size?
i mean like for example jenniffer love hewwit and her size2
and kim kardashian with her 40 inch hip..claiming a size 2 also....why dont they just claim a size 0 ...lol.......like a size 2 is skinny and curvy?
I have no idea why. Do they think people believe them? They're probably at a low weight, and believe they should be at a lower size, I dunno. I was really disappointed when Kim Kardashian said that. She could have been a good role model for positive body image.
I personally, am 115 pounds, and a size 7. Not overweight by far, but I have wide hips. So they annoy me when they say things like that.
Why do you care about what size pants Jennifer Hewitt wears? Are you hoping to borrow a pair?

why do you have to be rude...........im just wondering what ppl have to say!
they care because it's setting a bad example. when they all lie about being smaller it encourages that social stigma of you have to be a skinny little size 0-2 to be pretty and popular. they lie for the same reason some women lie about age/weight, they're embaress or self concious about themselves. actors are some of the most self obsessed people, its their jobs.
Mainly because being an unhealthy size in HollyWEIRD is the norm. (where a size 00 is the majority and I guess a size 2 is for the curvier ones...HA!) God forbid, they be over a size 2...much less admit it. It would *shame* them, I guess. Heh.
Kind of the same standard with age. They wouldn't admit their age and just keep botoxing it up if they could.
More or less it's a goal to be like an unrealistic robot in the entertainment industry non eating, unnaturally thin, no flaws, plastic and ageless.
These types of people are really no one to look up to. They aren't as perfect as they are trying to claim they are (even if they would deny that statement.) because there is no perfection. No matter how much plastic surgery they get.
My advice is to not even pay attention to what they have to personally say when it comes to these types of situations (or at least you can snicker at the ignorance.) I wouldn't let it bother you. You and the majority know it's complete bull **** anyway. :P Probably just best skipping the interviews and just watching them on the screen or listening to their music.
Not trying to be rude, just trying to point out that there is no real reason to care. It doesn't affect you.
I'd like to know why if she where to say her size is a 2 would she say her hips are 40 inches. I don't know what size 2 fits a 40 inch hip!

At layne bryant a size two might. I don't know if they still do that there or not but they used to. A size 1 was like a 12 or 14 and it just went up.
well actually i saw kim kardashian in an interview and she was wearing size 27 pant sbut said her top was a size 2. shes a pear.
This is why I love curvier celbreties who are proud to admit it and show it off! Not that they are all great examples for young women just because of it but in general stars that seem to be more honest about their size seem to set better examples in other aspects of their lives. Like America Ferrara, who is open about the fact that she is a size 8-10, and is absolutely gorgeous, looks feminine, curvy and real! And Jennifer Lopez is open about being a size 6 and that Hollywood considers her to be a "BIG" girl, and we all know she looks fabulous! I think the key is to not worry about the number as much as what you feel like, your health, and as a result you will look fabulous too! Even one of the Victoria Secret models is open about being blasted by the modeling world for being "fat" at an 18BMI, a weight of 130, and at a height of 5'11"! It's craziness there, so to base personal goals off of this sort of media is ridiculous! Ajones, good for you for calling them out for being so unrealistic, and realizing that lying about your size just promotes unrealistic body image for all.
so that they won't be called fat...you know, normal girls lie about their weight as well..why not celebrities who are famous people!
Unless they're purporting to be a role model about honesty and body issues I don't see where it's anyone's business. Stardom isn't a job that you sign up for generally, it's people deciding that they like what you've done and wanting to know all about you including invading your privacy and that of your family.
I think if I were a celebrity I'd probably just laugh off weight questions and be like, "Oh gosh, I don't even bother with that stuff! I haven't jumped on a scale in months, as long as I'm happy and healthy right?" to at least pretend that people aren't obsessed.
