Does anyone have any ideas about cellulite? I have it on my legs and it gets worse and worse. I know this is rediculous and I'm not middle age or anything, but really now, I don't know what to do about it!

If I remember correctly, cellulite is topical fat that is created as a result of eating after being starved for long periods of time.  If you skip meals routinely, specifically breakfast, then you are more at risk for developing it.  Eat often and don't miss meals to avoid it.  Now, eat right and weight train to burn it off.
cellulite isnt just fir middle aged people, I got it straigt fom when i started gaining weight when i was like 15/16.

Although making it go away is a mystery to me

I was just reading an articlue on this very subject yesterday!  Cellulite happens to everyone.  I have never heard of it occuring due to any particular eating pattern.  I have a cousin who is healthy, slim, and has a great figure.  Even she has a bit of celulite.  It is much more commen with women, men hardly ever get it.  Exercise helps apparently.  Do you work out?
This is so true. I never had cellulite until I started starving myself in highschool. It will never go away, and lipo does NOT work on cellulite becasue it is just under the skin and surrounded by tons of blood vessels. I've heard drinking lots of water can help shrink the fat cells becasue they don't have to hold on to excess water when you are properly hydrated. Looking back now I know I am paying for all the starvation and crash dieting I did. Don't make the same mistake!
I thought a lot of it had to do with genetics and your activity level. Turns out im probably wrong I just figured since my parents are a bit overweight with no cellulite then that is why I dont have any either..................But your right I have a friend who is very thin but yet still has cellulite quite a bit of it.
I have had it since I was 12.  I have never starved myself, and I am not fat.  I am at a healthy weight.  Most women get it, no matter how big or small they are.  It is genetic, but it can worsen with what you eat and little exercise.  There is really no cure.
I've had cellulite since middle school, around 11-12 yrs old. I've heard that 95% of all women have cellulite.

It's strikes 90 percent of women, we all eventually get it, it just depends on when and how much you get. Sun damage apparently plays a part in cellulite because destroys the elastic tissues under our skin. Exercise, tone and massage some sunscreen everyday ;)
Even my daughter who is 4 has it and she has had it since she was born. I think everyone has it. I do find mine less noticeable after losing weight and toning though.
yep. it hit me when right about when I started restricting what I was eating, when I was 12. I was still trim, but I had cellulite on the back of my thighs. it seems to be lessening now that I've lost and am still losing weight, but I doubt it'll ever be totally gone.

Cellulite is genetic. If your mama and grandmamma have it- chances are you will too. There are NO cures only treatment... Cellulite happens when there is a lack of circulation to those areas. A lot of people have intense massages on those areas to increase blood flow- I use a rolling pin (yes, it's the only thing I use the rolling pin for! LOL!) and that helps as well as some creams and exercise. Cellulite does not just affect overweight people- skinny people have it too and guess what, SO DO CELEBRITIES! Some men even have it.

It's a b!tch! : p
I have cellulite too - but, i don't really think it matters on your size - it's just how your body works. I had a roommate who was barely 110 pounds that had cellulite, and she was definately not overweight or even close to it. I tried one of those cellulite-reducing creams for a while, and it seemed to help for me. Later, I found out it was due to the massaging of the area. I guess massaging helps even out where the fat is stored - or something like that. Try it out - massage any kind of lotion into your thighs or butt, whatever area has cellulite for about 10 minutes everyday - you will see a difference in a few weeks. I don't think there is any "cure," but that helped me!
oh, and cellulite isn't always genetic--I don't think. my mom's a couple pounds overweight and doesn't have any cellulite, nor do any of my 9 aunts on my dad's side.
cellulite CANNOT have anything to do with starving oneself.  I've had it since I was 13 and never once did I starve myself.  I've lost 22 pounds since April 1st and I'm down to 120.  I work out 5 days a week for 45 minutes each time and my cellulite is slowly slowly reducing!  I think leg exercises work the best.
I have it too. On my legs and a little on my bottom.  The article below is very straight forward.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cellulite

I use Nivea for cellulite and it reduces the appearance and with exercise it will hopefully finally fade, but i'm realistic.
That Wikipedia article about cellulite is great. It is what I have read in other places as well. There are so many misconceptions about cellulite. Check this quote from the article out:

"Practically ALL post-pubescent females display some degree of cellulite." (The capitals are mine) The figure I read elsewhere is 90% of Caucasian women, slightly lower for other ethnic groups.

And this:

"Cellulite is NOT related to being overweight; average and underweight people also get cellulite."

This is true. I am on the lower end of a healthy BMI, always have been, have certainly never starved myself, and since my 20s I have had patches of cellulite around my thighs, which is where I tend to carry the fat that I have.

So, cellulite is a perfectly NORMAL thing for women to have and does not suggest we have health problems. It is related to the way fat is attached to the skin in women, it is different in men.

The article I read a while ago also said that the main reason we think cellulite is "bad" is because companies that produce cosmetics started telling us a few decades ago that it was bad and we should try to get rid of it.

I don't obsess about my dimpled legs, it is part of being a woman. There are some things we just have to accept. You can bet that plenty of celebrities have cellulite too and have it airbrushed out in any photos.
I've had it as long as I can remember - hate it!  I never starved myself as I was never overweight until after child bearing.  My boss is very thin and works out and had liposuction and her legs look 10X worse than mine so I really don't feel too bad LOL  Maybe its her thinness (is that a word?) that makes it so pronounced.
i have a bit and  i am 15.  if i still have it when ive lost my weight, i will have it surgically "dealt with"
Surprisingly, I have very little, so I don't think it's related much to weight loss or gain patterns; especially since my thighs are where the fat is and the only visible cellulite I have is mild and on my butt.

Then again, it could also be that my hormone levels are a little off-kilter.
