Hello everyone!

I'm just a little confused about cellulite. I have it on my butt and thighs, but its not constantly there. Some days its really bad, and somedays you can barely see it. Is this normal? Or is it just water weight?

Im 17, 5'2 and 120lbs, if that helps. I eat fairly healthy, with the odd bit of chocolate maybe once every 2-3 weeks.

So yes, I suppose my question is: Is it normal for cellulite to appear and disappear on a daily basis? Does this happen to anyone else?

Thanks!

I know this post is old, but I am going through the same thing. I actually searched and found this post. I am 5'6" 118lbs, 24 and VERY happy with my weight and my body. I am maintaining, but some days my thighs feel HUGE, and there is cellulite on them. Then miraculously a day or two later and the skin is tight again and it looks and feels smooth. I know that this is obviously water weight, but I eat carely any sodium ( less than 1,500mg a day) and exercise ( walking, HIIT, weight training) 5 x a week.....Did you figure anything out.??

P.S> I drink a ridiculous amount of water daily....

Water weight can be more than just a factor of salt.  Sugar, hormone fluctuations, electrolyte changes, etc., can make a difference.

As for cellulite itself, it has to do with your skin structure, not the fat.  You can be extremely thin and still have cellulite due to the skin structure.  And that, unfortunately, is genetic.
