I go see my wife at work at 630pm every night. If I am running late, I will feed my dad and I will stick around long enough to eat a quick bowl of shredded wheat with him.
But I am not doing it as part of a diet plan. Most importantly, I try to eat 3 well balanced meals a day, a snack in the morning and evening, and count my caloric intake.
You know the thing on the side of the cereal box that lists Calories, Total Fat, Sat Fat, Cholesterol, etc? I try to keep within those limits. It's kinda fun, actually.
I am doing pretty well, except for Sodium intake. when I am not careful, I get too much Sodium in my diet.
Eating correctly is kinda like a puzzle, I address one thing, and discover something else that I need to work on.
What's your favotite cereal? Mine is oatmeal.
If you eat like you are on a diet, you will lose the weight, but when you eat normally again it will all come back, and maybe some more. Do you see yourself eating cereal twice a day for the rest of your life?, if so go ahead. If you are like me you will get bored of eating the same foods everyday.
And you know what? I'm not even eating the real brand lol! I'm eating the Meijer or the Cub Foods brand (tastes exactly the same, same nutritional info, lower price)! Meijer's brand is called 'Essential M' and Cub Foods is called 'Essentially You". I think the same company makes all the knock offs, but whatever.
It's not to lose weight; I just think they put crack in it or something because I'm addicted!
seriously!!!!!!! i eat special k cereal 24/7 and the cereal bars. . . . . . . don't even get me started but ya they should totally take the crack out of their products lol but hay IT IS FREAKIN GOOD!!!!!!!
I do the Special K diet a few times a year to kickstart weight loss. I love it. It really works for me. I eat fruit and yogurt during the day to supliment my special K lunch, and eat a normal (well portioned) dinner. I couldn't recommend it more.
I mean eat what you want, but you guys do realize it's not the cereal doing anything. It's you lowering your caloric intake.
I could do the pork fat diet instead of eating cereal and lose weight if I'm staying under my calories for the day
