What is your favorite cereal?

Does anyone know if Life cereal is good or bad?? I enjoy it, but I want it to be good for me.

My favorite cereal is Heritage Flakes from Nature's Path.

Try cereals that are high in fiber and low in sugar. Those will make the best of your grain servings. To make them more fun, you could always add berries, banana, or pear slices.

Life cereal gets an A in the CC database, although it is high in sugar.

My fave cereals are cinnamon Life, Fiber One original, and I love most of the Kashi ones (although I prefer the hot cereals).  For a treat I love to occasionally snack on Cookie Crisp or Froot Loops.

Fiber One original is good and very low cal. I like Barbara's Cinnimon puffs to snack on.

I too eat fiber one, and all-bran.....

Corn Pops, Cinnamon Toasters, Honey Nut Cheerios, SPecial K Red Berries.

I have a shelf in my office put aside for ceral as I eat cereal everyday, sometimes twice if I am low on time and calories.

Usually have it with Silk Lite.

We have at least 10 boxes of cereal. Sometimes I like to mix them up and add fruit. Sometimes I like a small bowl for a snack. I also like hot cereal with mashed banana or applesauce on top.

Honey Bunches of Oats and Fiber One Honey Clusters :]

i love 90% of cereals made. infact, i love it so much that i can't buy cereal anymore or else the box is gone within the day. :)

Fiber One, the caramel one and the clusters...I don't care for the original, tastes like cardboard to me..

1 serving Kashi GoLEAN original
2 serving Fiber One original
1 cup skim milk

38 grams fiber, 26 grams of protein, 350 calories.  A lot of stuff to down in one bowl, but I'm always left full for hours afterwards.

Fiber one honey clusters!

Also, Cheerios with a little splenda and cinnamon is good with some almond milk. 1 cup cereal with 1/2 cup milk is only 120 cals.
kashi VIVE!
I recently discovered malted wheats and rice krispies with 2% milk and a spoonful of peanut butter.

:o) ^___^

I love cereal.

barbaras Parmogranet i know my spelling is horrible, but this stuff is all organic and tases great. The High Fiber cereal is good too.

Ahh I love cereal!! But I can't buy cereal anymore, or anything in bulk because I know I'll binge and eat a box of cereal in a day or two.

With nothing available to binge on at my house, I never binge anymore, so that's a success! But I miss my cereals....... :(

ooo, i love cereal also! Hi elisa90, I'm trying to rethink some of the foods i incorporate into my diet, and i was wondering if you could share some of the foods you eat, ideally i'd like to get down to your size...didn't know if you have any good tips!

thanks

Graciouswords, 80% of my foods consist of veggies, but I keep it interesting--always a spectrum of color and flavor with a variety of spices (curry powder, garlic, chili powder, Trader Joe's salsas, anything really!). I also eat a small portion of fish every day (about half the size of my palm). For breakfast I make myself an egg white omelet with veggies. I eat LOTS of spinach--almost half a bag a day.

I'm not 100% strict though! When I'm with company, I'll have that home-made brownie or slice of pie--but only when I know I really want it!

A fun thing to eat that's super low on calories is pumpkin! I just slice it in half, steam it, and eat it with pumpkin-pie spice!

I stir fry my veggies in mostly water with a tea spoon of olive oil. Usually, though, I steam my veggies.

Beets add a cool color to your veggies.

For dessert, baked apples with cinnamon is delicious!

Non-fat plain greek yogurt with berries and cinnamon is super yummy too!

Maybe this gave you one or two ideas? (:

..Some other options: whole wheat low carb tortillas, stir-fried veggies, lentils, quinoa, salsa, avocado = healthy fajitas!

Handful of whole wheat pasta, low calorie pasta sauce, lots of stir-fried veggies, all in a bowl = italian! And you don't even notice that you barely have any pasta.

I also sprout lentils and quinoa and put it into my salads. For salads, I use balsamic vinegar and some flavorful tomato based sauce that has minimal calories.

thanks elisa for the advice, I'll definitely try it!
