How did you challenge your ED today?
Thought we could all post something... I used to always shout at my mum 'i AM trying! i'm EATING SOMETHING.' But i now realise that wasn't trying, that was just eating enough to lose weight. So i thought it might be nice for us all to post one or two things we did today to challenge ourselves in our road to recovery.
i shall go first :)
today i challenged my ED by increasing my AM snack by 100 calories, having a raw food bar instead of oat cakes and apple.
Reason: Moved from Weight Gain to Health and Support.
I had Green & Black's cherry chocolate :D
I had PASTA (wholemeal!)
I had it with feta CHEESE, I mean CHEESE ****!
And the best thing is I never recorded anything I ate in my food log :P
Today i ate a yummy vainilla with choocolate and almond crem ice cream sooo good !
the i had lunch with my mum, and ate chinese food (: ! it was fried food by the way..haha.. :D
I bought and ate a whole cup of pitted cooking dates right after dinner for dessert.

This is such an awesome thread! Keep on being strong guys! The ED shall never take over again, and we will kick its ass out the door!
I want to take part in school activities again! I missed out on sooo many things this year (camp, surfing, sport etc) and when I recover, I'll be able to HAVE FUN again!
In town, my frriend made cakes. And I had one. Yep, despite the fact it was loaded with sugars and fat and god knows what else, I ATE IT :D
I went out for lunch and did quite well, but realised I hadn't eaten enough to make up what I would have had at home, so when I got back I ate a home made cookie that I baked yesterday. HUGE deal for me because i never eat outside meal times. Yay me! *sticks finger at ED* mwahahahaha. ha. I'm going to wi-in!
we're all gonna win! :D
usually i have set times for me to eat (mechanical eating) and i like to take steps slowly but today i kept getting hungry.. and not full out hungry just a tiny bit but JUST in case, every time i got even the slightest bit hungry i ate a small calorie dense meal, (i REALLY want to boost my metobolism enough to maintain on 2500!!)
long story short-->
instead of just having breakfast, i had an extra sandwich before leaving
instead of having a fruit for snack i had a furit and two bowls of oatmeal
+ CONSTANT snacking between meals, feeling hungry still and kinda fat but im still winning :D
Edit: PLUS i ignored all urges to exercise even though they were REALLY strong ones.. been sedentary all day!!!
I had a small slice of cake at a social gathering at church.

I told my pilates instructor I was going to skip the aerobic warm up!
AND I use real oil in my curry cooking......not that spray stuff, and they're right, it IS more satisfying!
isn't it funny how everyone's fears and hang ups are different and individual!
For lunch I got the wrap with pesto sauce (oil based) instead of my usual barbecue. Although I do enjoy the bbq sauce more. Not really a fan of pesto.
And after lunch, I had a small piece of cheesecake.
For dinner, I had a few potatoes along with my salmon. (Normaly in the past I probably would've only had veggies + salmon)

I had a chicken salad with veggies today for lunch...... along with a pumpkin muffin i caught out of the corner of my eye in the fridge. Dont know how many calories are in it but i ate it anyway.
Also, went to my favorite sub place and ordered something because it was the special and not for the nutrition (Found out it was high in sodium and higher in calories than my usual sandwich!) keep on keepin on!
I was offered an ice cream cone that I could easily say "yes" or "no" to, and guess what?!
I SAID YES TO AN ICE CREAM CONE! AND MY MOM WASN'T EVEN THERE (monitoring what I eat), I DID IT FOR ME!
This was Monday, but I got a dim sum basket which was a combo of fried dim sum and steamed, and I ate all of them~
I was having coffee with my friend Chris and he got a cookie and offered me a bit and I took like half without even thinking about it!
And we shared it!
And the sky didn't fall down, singing midgets didn't rollerskate in singing a song saying how i was a pig, nobody laughed and called me fat, i just....ate the cookie!
and it was good!

I want that to happen just to say it happened. I wouldn't care if they were calling me a pig, I just want to see some singing midgets.
I stuck with my plan to have a granola bar after dinner regardless of the unplanned milkshake at dinner! I didn't try to "make up for it!"
instead of just an egg white omelet for dinner, i had a tortilla :)
And instead of just strawberries and 2 squares of chocolate, i had some yoghurt & bran flakes with it :)
