i want to get in the double digit weight group ,, kg that is,,,,so i want to lose 15lbs by january 1st. I know its not alot but that is about 2lbs a week and Im told that is healthy weight to lose,,

 I have another friend on here that is going to try also,,if we make this goal then we will set another one for march 1st and so on,,,if you want to join us just sign in and say,,,

    im at 107kg now  thats about 235

by jan 1st 99kg  that 218

im 44 and live in kuwait

ok everyone is telling theie weight, i felt shy to do so but i guess  i will, im 88 kg, man i been over here so long i cant tell u what it is in pounds. i was a year ago 97 so i can sy i have kept some off. but i keep going like a yoyo, i was 85 and i think that was the lowest i got, i hope i can do better cuz this is so difficult, im alone and so its not so easy to just go out and walk, and or to pull out my treadmill, i also have the WII....i just dont understand this at all....i hope i can lose this weight by Jan, may all of us be pleased with our resultsSmile

Start weight May 14th 2009:242 lbs

Current weight, weighed this morning:201.5 lbs

So another 15 lbs by January will make me 186.5 lbs or approximately 85 kg which will make me thinner than I've been for 15 years since before I was married!

My ultimate goal weight is 145 lbs

Good job my husband loves me for my witty repartee eh?????

thats cool ,,that is 4 of us,,,i know we can do it if we all try and keep in touch to see how we all are doing,,,i was told i need to eat 1200 a day and ive only been doing around 500 to 800 so i uped is a bit and have been really going for those walks i use to just think about going on lol  ive got a good start ,,lost 6kg or 12 lbs last week,,,,,,,yippy,,,,here we go

I think you'l have to up your intake quite considerably. Use the calorie intake tool on this website to see what you should be eating. As you can see i have been reasonably successful so far and looking back over the past month I have averaged around 1600 cals per day and still losing. If you continue to eat so few calories you'll amke your self ill and fool your body into thinking you're starving so that the few calories you do eat are stored as fatFrown. When you work out how many caloried you need make sure to set the calculator at the right activity setting, initially I set mine as sedentary but after a while I found my weight loss satlled so I uppe dmy intake and it started again. It went completely what I would have expected to happen because, I guess we all expect fewer calories in more weight off right?

You need to eat at MINIMUM 1200 every day.  You risk damaging your metabolism and your body if you don't.  Use the tools, and don't eat below 1200. Most people require considerably more than that.

 

 

Don't be shy whitedove777 we're all in the same boat here. The Wii is good try doing some of the yoga it's more strenuous than you realise. I don't have in ebut ughter de sit would be nice to have one but they are quit eexpensive. I live in Spain and at the moment it's Autumn so I can at least get out and walk about :o)

im aiming for 1200 but someone wrote me on here telling me to up it a little everyday so i dont gain weight,,so slowly going up,,,,2 days ago i did 800  yesterday almost 1000 today im aiming for 1200,,,,but that seems like so much food after what i have been eating,,,

   going for that walk soon,,,90 min brisk walking,,,,,,i think we should all post our weights on the same day,,say a friday,,,,cuz I tend to mess up on the weekend with my husband home,,,dont walk the same and such with him around,,,

HELLO ALL...I hope all is doing well on the challenge,,,I have made it up to 1200 cal and found a great menu to follow,,,and Ive kept up on the walking,,,,not sure why my weight is bumping up and down,,one day its down 3 kg the next up and then down hmm  maybe water intake,,,i drink alot of water,,,I did some figuring last night and it said that If I lose 3 kg a week,,Ill be down to 86kg by my birthday in may,,,that would be really really nice,,,,but for now its just to 99 kg by new years,,,,,,,i know i can i know i can i know i can,,,,,have a great day,,,,,,,,,,,,,,nasima

I'm the same yesterday I had put on 4.5lbs overnight! (2kg) but it's just hormonal so I'm not worrying, just stick to your allowance and you will lose the 1-2 lbs a week. Remember that's 500g to 1 Kilo. It's far better to lose it this way then it will stay off. 3kg a week is a lot to lose in one week every week, I'm averaging 6lbs a month which is just under 3kg. Long term that's far more attainable. Don't forget that the recomended healthy way to lose weight is 10% of you body weight in six months, slow and steady that's the plan, I am still nearlly 4 lbs heavier than 2 days ago but over the month it will even out Smile.

hello. I just came across this group and I would love to join if its not too late =). 15lbs is very much attainable but i think ill start at a smaller loss like 8-10lbs. I hope to achieve this loss and my long term goal of 25lbs by my 21st in April. I'm currently at about 185lbs and I am 5'10"

Good Morning here are my stats at the end of week 1

Last week weight 201.5 lbs, 91.6 Kg

This week weight 200.4 lbs, 91.1 Kg

Average  calorific intake per day for the previous six days = 1579

I have been losing weight since May 14th so I am pretty pleased with a one pound weight loss at this stage. While there are only 8 more weeks to January 1st the rate of 1 lb per week I will not make 15 lb off ,I am still aiming for the 15lb target.

hello all,,,,well i weighed and I dont know what to say,,,ive actually gained this week,,it was going down and I was following the 1200 but the last 2 days it went to heck and I went over in cal both days and didnt go for my walk yesterday,,im 110kg now,,,its like in starting over,,,,I found a good well balanced meal plan for 1200 cal a day,,Im following that now and I went for my walk this morning  also trying to do aerobics in the afternoon. im aiming for 85kg by july,,,and still hoping for 5kg or 15 lbs by jan 1st,,,good luck to all

Hey whitedove...just checking to see how you were doing! I know a few days you have been pretty hard on yourself. What's going on? With me, I have been doing okay. My total lost since the 19th of last month is 3.9lbs. It has been pretty slow but I don't think I am giving 100% though!

Im not doing well had a headache and just been sick just the past few days, and then i think i know my problem as in the weight now, i dont do well when i feel im in a race, never thought about it that way b-4, but since i started this 15 pound thingy i have messed up,as in gained...so what im going to do is.....im tryin for a pound a week,but i was around someone very possitive so that helped me a bunch, i have to go now but wil try to write more later, hope ur doing well, take care

I'll join! I wanna be 178 by christmas. Im heading more for 175 by the 1st. Thats 10 lbs in 7 weeks. I think i can manage a 1.5 lb a week weightloss to accomplish that.
