This is a continuation group for the members of "25 pound challenge" which started in Feb and is to end June 30th.  I know many of us need to continue in our goals, and to kick it off I decided to start a new group -- hopefully this will give us extra motivation too!

The woman who started it all "pook" had the following original post, and I wanted to post it here so that we have the same ideas/goals/points.

I hope to see all the members of the old group, and any additional people who would like to join us!

I’m looking to start a support and accountability group whose main goal is to lose 25 pounds by the end of November. That’s about 1.5 lbs a week, which I think is very doable. I’m looking for folks who are losing with healthy diet and exercise, any plan is fine, but no “cabbage soup” fad diet nonsense, no pills, etc.  Just healthy lifestyle changes.

Goal: To lose 25 pounds by November 30th.

Motto: Who dares, wins!

Members: Anyone with 25 or more pounds to lose.

Post: Daily if possible. Post goals, daily food and exercise stats, problems, anything related to your weight loss journey. Post tips, articles, stories, anything helpful or motivating. Post recipes and exercise routines too, if you want.

I'm ekai, 25, 5'11.  I like to exercise and lift weights, but nothing specific because I switch it up a lot.  Anything that makes me move is good!  I need to eat 1200 calories a day in order to lose weight but I need some encouragement because I've not been sticking to it lately...  that's where you guys come in!

You all have really been chatting here!  I'm doing well and eating right.  :)  Makes me very happy!  I was 185.6, now I'm at 185 even.  YAY!!!!  hahaha

Welcome to the other newbies here who have joined.  I'm new too.  Nice to meet you.  ;)

Make sure you all are drinking your water.  Very important not to be dehydrated.  I drink tons of water.  So much so my hubby told me I was going to die from that water thing.  You all know about that?  But that's really extreme.  I'm no where near drinking that much. LOL

I didn't do so well the last two days. I am up 1.8 lbs from Friday. It took me almost two weeks to loose that much, now in two days I've gained it back. WTF?

I exercised yesterday and the day before, but calories restriction seems to be like my downfall...I just have to keep punching.

i was doing so well and then yesterday i ate way too much.  i am so mad at myself.  i am hoping the 1.8 pounds i'm up (madamebones, looks like that is the number today, don't give up though!  did you eat any really salty food, because that makes you retain water) is mostly water weight and i'll be back down tomorrow.  today i am painting with friends and the plan is to not eat too much or snack.  i'll fix them lunch and a snack and send them home at dinner time.  then i'll just have something small for dinner and maybe go for a walk.

Doing alright.  Had a nice run today.  Also had a few cookies.  But overall not bad.

Good Monday morning to everyone,

I haven't been doing the greatest. My weight is fluctuating so much... it keeps throwing me for a loop. And my dedication has been next to nothing. But this morning I am back with new fervor and zeal! This will be a good week!

In case ya'll are wondering, I have just been editing my original post on the first page to update my stats. It's easier to find that way. I will be going on vacation this weekend and be gone for 10 days and I really think I need to take my scale along and also keep tabs on here. I think that will keep me on my toes the best. I think I'll be able to get my exercise in better too with more free time.

211 this week but saw 209.5 a few days ago. Hoping it's water keeping me up and that by Monday I'll be something awesome like 208 :D

ahhh just a super quick note...I have decided that I eat more when I don't sleep. This happens on Saturdays and boy did I eat the wrong stuff. HOWEVER I exercised the next day (on the wii) but exercise non the less...then a small set back, my back went out on me and of course the migraine ensued shortly there after...soooo it will be interesting to see what the scales say today...

ah, back down to 108.7 this morning thankfully.  i've eaten really well the last three days and yesterday i started back at ballet since my teachers are back from europe.  so i did ballet, pilates, and walked/jogged 2.5 miles yesterday.  and then today i did ballet and then walked about 5 miles.  so i'm hoping for 108 even tomorrow, but we'll see.  as long as i'm less :)  i am so sore though!  but i am going to ballet no matter what tomorrow.

Today I walked 2 miles before my leg started to give me trouble and had to quit.  I think I'm going to start walking in the morning (2 miles) and then another 2 miles in the evening.  Splitting it up will be ok.

I'm still at 185 and starting to eat at night again.  Gotta get this stopped.  This is rediculous!  I'm outta control.

Tryintolose25, if you just stick to it, whatever you are doing to improve, then it will eventually stick to you. You can do it!

tryin2lose25 don't give up!  you've just got to stick to it even if you don't see results.  the new walking plan sounds good.  and try to think when you eat if night if it is really worth it because most likely you will find that it is not.

I'm not going to give up.  I've been doing this for far too long to just quit.  Besides, I'm not a quitter!  ;) 

I did good last night.  No eating at all.  And tonight I haven't eaten since 6pm.  Can you believe it?  WOW!  What an accomplishment!  hehe  I have to stop the habit of eating at night.  It's just a habit.  I can break it!

tryin2lose25 i'm so happy that your back on track!  you've got to believe you can do it like the rest of us believe you can do it.

and i am on top of it this week so far!  107.0 this morning, so excited!  i'm going my friends birthday party though and i know there is going to be tons of food and  i'm really nervous.  my game plan though is i will eat a nice dinner before so i'm not hungry, therefore less tempted, and then maybe just have a slice of cake if it is a really good cake and if not treat myself to one other sweet if it is worth it.  but that is it!  it is four hours, 7 to 11, so i am just planning on self control and going to try and keep reminding myself that it isn't worth it.

keep up the good work everyone!  we can do this!

Hi!  How is everyone?  Any plans for the weekend?  I'm sitting here at home with my kiddos tonight.  My 22 yr old daughter will probably leave with her bf later, so it'll be me and my son home.  Hubby went to his friend's house for a while.  It's nice sometimes to have time apart other than when he's at work. Ya know? 

lofudge, B-day parties happen once in a while so why not treat yourself?  But who am I to give advice???? LOL  Thanks for your kind words of encouragement, too.  I need that once in a while.  I just get so disappointed with myself and then it goes to frustration.  We can lose weight, because we want it.......BAD!!!!  LOL

welcome to the group zora!  all the weight you've already lost is very inspirational, that is amazing!  great job :)

as for me, i did treat myself quite a bit at the party, but not too much, it could have been a lot worse.  i went up like 2 pounds the next morning and was down one this morning and hopefully will be down the other tomorrow.  i will have eaten probably about 1,000 calories by the end of the day.  so tomorrow we shall see but i'm feeling pretty good.  keep up the good work everyone!
