22 here, 5'3 Current Weight 127.2 Goal Weight 112 by Aug 10th, Mini Goal, 120 by June. I am so excited about this!

I go to the gym today for my first actual workout!!! I don't really have anything new to post, just stopping in to say hi and read all your guys's posts!!

:)

It's my birthday and I have no intention of cheating today either!!!

good luck ladies!! and welcome banana!!

you guys. i am slightly retarded i think. i busted my ass all day yesterday, ate perfectly, ran for 20 minutes, soccer for 40 min, watched a softball game,  went to a greek week event, and then WENT OUT TO A CLUB, GOT DRUNK, ATE TACO BELL, THEN ATE A HUGE BOWL OF COFFEE ICE CREAM AND PEANUT BUTTER. oops? drinking is definitely a weak spot of mine. i tend to throw inhibition to the wind and eat whatever the f i want. needless to say, there is peanut butter in my bed.. and on my pajamas.

its actually pretty funny. i got a lap dance from a very drunk guy. lost a couple games of pool. salsa danced to country music (yeah, i don't know either. i don't even know how to salsa dance in the first place). i had a GREAT time. and now i'm back at square one. i'm trying not to take it hard because it was definitely worth it. i just need to decrease the number of times i go out in a month. i'm kind of thinking out loud here, so sorry.

i hope everyone is having a good wednesday! you just wait, i'll be golden come weigh-in. bwah ha ha! i laugh in the face of calories.

pink: you freaking inspire me, woman! it's your birthday, you went to the gym, AND you're staying on calories!? watch out world, this lady is amazing!

welcome banana! weigh ins are typically on mondays and anything motivational or tips you'd like to share would be appreciated!

I WANT TO WORK OUT TODAY! regardless of feeling hungover, isn't that crazy? makes me feel pretty good. moonlight, that sounds like a pretty good plan, i'm gonna have to mix it up when i go to the gym. i have heard that doing the same exercise every day becomes a push-button task for your body and that you don't get as good of a work out.

tip of the day: change your meal mindset! most of us plan our meals around the meat we're having. instead, choose one or two vegetables as the star of the show and plan around those. add a cameo role with a small portion of red meat, fish, or chicken to complete the meal. voila!

I did 20 minutes of bike, 25 on tread mill and 15 on the eliptical!!!! and i did not cheat at all today!!!

WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

PINK! I WANT TO BE YOU! for real. you rock!

i'm back on the bus and heading toward healthy. i didn't get a chance to really work out today (very busy with school events), but i have stayed within my calorie range, woohoo! i'm gonna work out tomorrow and i even have a coffee date!

hi! i'd love to join :] if thats cool

5'6"

CW: 142.6 as of 4/13

GW for May 10: 133

GW for 8/31: 120-125

yay!

welcome lostlittlerabbit!

So I felt it was safe since it was the second day but...149.6 baby!  woot!  I don't even remember the last time I was in the 140s.  Here's to hoping it stays going like this!

blink: nice job staying within your calorie range!  it really can be tough can't it?  and don't worry about not working out...i NEVER have time anymore to work out.  damn college.  i do try and at least take a walk around campus everyday (besides the normal) to at least get a little something.  give that a shot of you can't make it to the gym one day...bust out the ipod (or whatever) and just enjoy this nice weather we're finally having!  you've totally got this.  no worries at all.

pink: AWESOME JOB!  that's the way to do it!  there are very few days when i don't cheat on at least something.  i always feel like if I allow myself one tiny cheat a day (whether it be easter candy or an extra slice or whatever), i'm more likely to stay on track for the rest of the week and not feel deprived.  but i always keep it inside my calorie range!  keep up the fantastic work!

I'm so glad to find you guys doing so well!!!!

Pink- you are a MONSTER girl!!! Look at you!!!! Ripping right through those pounds like a kid at christmas!!!!! WOW!!! Surprised Keep up the AMAZING progress hun, you are an inspiration!!!!!

Ocean- 140's!!!! OMG!!!!!! I'm SOOOO happy for you!!!! I have NO DOUBT that you are going to stroll into the 130's with style and grace. Remember to keep moving forward!!!!!

Welcome Rabbit and Welcome Banana you guys are welcome to join our motivational group of posters!  Remember to set goals but not to set them so far away that you will lose sight of the big picture, but most of all... Remember to enjoy the ride. Don't get so caught up and focused on shedding the pounds. Make it an adventure.

I have an extremely busy week coming up. My best friend graduates from Army bootcamp and it's an out of state two day event. I have got what I will need for two days and I have booked a hotel and I am in the process of packing and I get my car maintenanced this weekend. I will be in the presence of two VERY hyper-active young boys and her mom during the eight hour drive. Needless to say I have packed excedrin, diet mt. dew, and my ipod. Double caffeine, I will need it I fear.

Blink-- hun you're sabotaging all of your hard work! Treat yourself in small increments and you won't feel the need to binge so much. It would be better if you would work out moderately and learn to cut calories slowly, and treat yourself daily. I had trouble giving up caffeine and I would over indulge in other areas to make up for it so I just started drinking Diet Mt. Dew. No sugar, no calories, LOTS of caffeine. Win/Win for me. I can drink one when I feel like it. Given I still drink lots of water. Chocolate, you can have chocolate- but in moderation. Instead of eating the whole candy bar- eat a square or two, put it in the fridge and eat another square or two the next day. That way your body has more of a fighting chance of burning it off. That's my reasoning. Portion control. If you like drinking, slowly wean yourself. Reason with yourself to have one or two drinks throughout the night. Also, fruity drinks-margarita's, daquiri's, malibu, any sour drink, it's going to be extremely high in calories..The mixes most places use. The sour the tomato the pina colada. I use to bartend and the mixed drinks like - vodka cranberry, rum and diet, bourbob and water, screwdrivers,... all have less. Just think of the two rule. If it has more than two ingredients stay away. You might try Sky Orange and cranberry. Still pretty fruity, not too strong and a little tang and sweet to it.

i know i do! it's horrible. i've been trying to stay on track the past couple days and it's been going pretty well. moonlight, i really appreciate your advice. portion control is usually something i am good with... until it comes to alcohol and ice cream. i don't tend to go out as often as i have lately, so i'm hoping with a lack of weekday partying, i should be back on track. i'm planning a quiet weekend of staying in and getting lots done.

ocean! INTO THE 40S ALREADY! that is so exciting, you've been doing so well, you deserve it! keep up the good work :)

welcome rabbit!

i hope everyone else is doing great! i think we've picked up some nice momentum with this thread. i'm SO PROUD! we're gonna be some hot little ladies. i'm lovin it!

where is everyone? :(

i'm about to put on a movie and hop in bed. did AWESOME with calories today. you guys.. i almost went over.. i made a huge bagel with one half lots of cream cheese and the other half lots of strawberry jelly... i ate half of both sides, and then decided i didn't need any more! yesssss!

here's a list of 100 healthy tips to help everyone stay motivated throughout the weekend. weigh in MONDAY!

Good job Blink!! Yay for self control!! I admit that ice cream is a deviouuussss spot for me. I cheated today with a small reese blizzard from dairy queen... but i got them to only give me half of the small. Still around 300+ calories.. but it was still in my daily calorie limit!! Actually I even had a few less calories today than usual, so I think I did pretty well. I worked out again today as well!

As for alcohol, I LOVE fruity girlie drinks, but due to calorie restricting I stick to the basic two ingredient ones liz was talking about. I'm a rye and ginger girl... only 64 calories and ounce.. in diet gingerale... means it's not bad on the cals. and does me in pretty quickly anyways lol. I'm also now a fan of the mikes light hard lemonade... 100 cals a bottle.

I know it's only two days of working out, and it's definately tough, but I think it'll probably be worth it. Can't wait till mondays weigh in!!!

My fiance also had his fit test today.. and while he was in there talking to the gym guy he got us 24 personal training sessions... that we can take together or seperately. This should course us 3-6 months. So it looks like I'm in this for the long haul!!!

See you grls in a few days!! Or sooner lol :)

pink: woo hoo for the long haul! i've only heard good things about 24 hr fitness.

i feel like i'm truly getting back on track, which is such a good feeling. i'm trying to make myself go to the gym right now, but its raining and i'm full of excuses, and blah blah, but i'm going to go. i always feel SO GOOD after working out, so it'll be worth it.

i've spent all day designing new horse jumps and picking out new gear i want online. i'm such a nerd, but horses are my thing! alright, so i need some advice. i WAS planning on going to ireland, portugal, spain, and france this summer.. and i talked to my parents about it and they seemed to be on board and even said they'd help me out with expenses and such. well, now i don't think it's going to happen. my parents are way into me getting a job this summer and i don't believe they were ever really on my side about the ireland trip. i want to propose to them that since they aren't going to be paying for part of my trip, that they should put the money towards horses for me and help me buy some. i've been saving up for horses since i was about 13 and it's always been a dream to own them. my family owns a ranch and i already have my own gear and everything. how can i talk to them about it? i only have a semester left of school, so i'll be able to spend more time with the horses than i would have in the past, and since i won't be doing anything come summer except a job, in my free time i can be at the ranch. any help or advice would be appreciated :). thanks girlies, and wow, sorry that was long.

Blink- I think, being parents, you would have more luck reasoning with them in a "long term" perspective. Parents love the thought of being emulated, and they love the thought that their children are responsible, productive beings. You could let them know that you are putting forth great effort into making a career for yourself that you will be happy and productive in. Let them know that you are a responsible young adult and treat it as you would a presentation. Sit them both down, at a table or the like, and have a "conference" of sorts. Diagrams and visual aids are a plus. Be persuasive. Do NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE stomp your feet, use your hands in any flustered gestures. Be calm. Be still. Be Confident. Be Professional. Approach it as you would a bank hoping to get a loan. Show the affirmative side of them giving you financial assistance. Don't under any circumstance give the impression that what you want is simply a phase that will take their hard earned money and flush it down the drain. Do NOT give the impression that you feel that they MUST give you anything. Make sure they know it will be GREATLY appreciated. Using these tacts with any situation usually helps me. It's only free advice. Use it if you feel it is for you, or parts of it, or none of it if you feel it isn't applicable.

I'm glad to hear you are back on track blinka, you are going to make it through all those tempations with style and grace I am sure. Ice Cream was surely created by an evil being who is surely laughing at all our cravings. lol. I was invited to a bachelorette party tonight.... I had to decline. I will be absent some next week and I wanted to get in all the extra time I could with my little boy. I had my oil changed and I found that my brakes on my car are "glazed". They sound HORRIBLE. I'm going to have to have them fixed. I have a relatively newer car and it just sounds AWFUL. I have to get moving, I will post again tomorrow hopefully. I will give my weigh in on Monday!!!! STAY STRONG!!!!!!!!!!!

OH EM GEE!!!!! Blink!! You have GOT to try this!! and i mean GOT!!!!!!!!

I bought me some pudding cups... 120 cals a pop... eek i know... but it was 3 bucks for 12.. so how could i resist??? fudge and chocolate ones... but you can get them fat free and sugar free for 90 cals for 99 grams.. (that's the standard size pudding cup). And I froze it... i tok it out today... let it sit for a few minutes and then started eating... LOW CAL CHOCOLATE ICE CREAM!!!!!!!!!! well still higher cals than normal... but i can't live without ice cream.. and it tastes so close it's scary!!! mmm... i'm eating it right now... but sadly i'm at the last bite. But now i don't feel so bad.... 99 grams of chocolate ice cream is abouts 214 calories. you're cutting out 94 calories alone. Mines the full fat kind... if you did the fat free kind it'd be cutting out 124 calories for the same amount!!! crazy awesome :) So instead of one cup of ice cream.. you can have two cups of frozen pudding!! ......

or not lol. just thought you'd like to try it out :)

PINK! THOSE SOUND SO FREAKIN GOOD! i'm definitely going to get some when i get home for the summer, however, i can't get any here because i don't have a fridge in my room and keeping pudding in the house fridge would be a disaster.

you guys are going to be so proud of me. last night one of the friends i usually go out drinking with wanted to hang out. well, i ended up not drinking at all, while she got plastered (lol). i'm so glad i did too! it shows on the scale :) ALSO, i even ate some of my ice cream/PB goodness and didn't go overboard! i am feeling GREAT today. the weather here is also amazing now, so i'm gonna go to the park in a little and i want to head to the gym too. yay! weigh in tomorrow is going to be exciting. sounds like everyone is doing great.

oh, on the horse note. look at what i found (and proceeded to fall in love with): http://www.barnpros.com/products/apartment/de nali_apt_36.html ;

so i am now looking at mortgages and the sort. i am such a nerd. i was calculating the monthly payments and everything and it'd be about what my parents would be paying to rent an apartment for me, but i'd have a two bedroom, kitchen, dining area, living area, AND A BARN UNDERNEATH IT. it would also really increase the value of our ranch. hehe, i can dream, can't i? first things first, horses.

moonlight, that sounds like a great way to talk to them, i was planning on doing something along those lines but wasn't exactly sure. i'll probably wait until i'm home so i can talk to them in person and really figure out what i want to say.

LET'S PUSH THROUGH THIS LAST DAY AND FINISH THE WEEKEND STRONG! weigh in tomorrow, ladies.. woohoo!

so weigh in!  not so good.  last night I had a pretty salt high dinner *hangs head in shame* and it bounced me all the way up to 151!  ahhh.  damn water weight.  it was my first cheat in a long time though (of course i had to have it just before weigh in).  i'll just have to be extra good this week and down a crazy amount of water to get rid of it all.  but i'm not too worried about it.

how's everyone else doing?

*ouches*

Good morning ladies!! I went a little overboard this weekend. Truly. I made the mistake of weighing myself saturday. Yep. and I knew it would happen. I was almost two pounds heavier than last weigh in. I was... irritated. I went to the track, too frustrated and let down to go exercise with a bunch of thin little things... I went at dusk and I turned on my Ipod and just ran and ran and ran.... lay down on the track looking at the stars for three minutes and ran some more. Sure enough. I gave myself shin splints. I went power walking yesterday after ingesting four aleve and today... Ye-ouch. I have to wear heels for work and omg. I think I'm going to be resting peacefully in my car this lunch break. I will powe walk again tonight. I don't understand ... all that exercise and dieting... just puzzles me.

Pink- those pudding pops sound to die for!!!! Nothing beats chocolate.

Blink- Pink and Blink!! That's funny!!! Any way I looked at that Denali Apt 3 it is absolutely gorgeous. You never know.

Starting weight--      & nbsp;      156

Goal weight--      & nbsp;      &nbs p;     124

Current weight--      & nbsp;       146.5

Only half a pound.... I lost and gained it back. I don't know how.

I WILL be 143 by the end of this week. By the end of next week I will be 139.  No "Buts" about it.

As of right now. I'm going to take some Ibuprofen and rest in my car

I don't know what shin splints are liz... but it sounds painful.

I'm sure you'll get back on track again ocean... the 140s is a powerful number to reach and maintain!!!!

So last week I was 215... and this week I am..... 210!!! woo hoo!! i'm sure most of it is water weight.. but i bet a couple pounds are all me :). I'm very proud of myself I must say!! This morning i worked out and I couldn't even do 30 minutes... and I usually do 60. I dunno... could have been because I went two days in a row... could have been the weather... could have been my not eating oatmeal before i went :( .. But my trainer told me two times a week i should do cardio on an empty stomach..... doesn't sound fun to me if this is going to be expected every time. could just be from lack of energy though..(didn't sleep long or well). But regardless!!! I'm down 5 lbs for the week :D :D :D :D can't wait till next monday!!
