I'm gonna say actually, I will be so hectic in the AM going back to work since being off two weeks, maybe I will just weigh in now and say --> start weight? 157ish. My original goal was 150 when I started at 230 pounds. I've been within a few lbs for MONTHS. I get close, like to 152, and then I slack a little. Working on that this year. Goal weight? well, let's just stick the 150. =P lol

I'm in! I can give my beginning weight tomorrow. I want to lose 15 lbs in 3 months, that sounds okay doesn't it, 5 lbs a month which is a little over a pound lost a week. I just started up on my cardio routine for 20 min a day 6 days a week. I'm about 152lbs now I think. What should we make our end date?

Hey, I'd love to do it, too! I was going to suggest 15 lbs/3 months. How about if we start on Friday--just because it is a good incentive to do well this week AND then keep it up over the weekend. But I'll weigh in whenever!

I'm with you if you have room for one more. Jan 5th was going to be my personal start day anyway. Technically I got back on the wagon a couple weeks ago, but I've been too scared to weigh, and I PROMISED myself I would weigh again on 1/5. I'll post my starting weight tomorrow morning.
Ideally, I'd like to get to 120 before I go to Brazil in June. Have you SEEN those women? That should be some motivation, right?!
I was 124 (for a day) at the end of October, but I have gained gained gained since then. I have no idea where I'm at now (I'm HOPING no more than 135... but it could be far worse).
I think I'm shooting for a 3/31 (end of 1st quarter) goal of 10 lbs.
I would like to join I will weigh in now. Todays weight was 170 (although I hope its due to sodium since i ate awful since the 30th)

I'd luv to join i'll weigh in today, soo my start weight is 155lbs(but i think some of its water weight coz ate a lot of sodium over the last week!)
I've got an idea of something to try, i have heard that going vegetarian is a really good way to lose weight, sooo i thought i'd try it, but my family make it hard soo i thought maby going vegetarian every other day! because meat contains a lot of fat, there is also the benefit that becoming vegetarian lowers your risk of heart disease and cancer!! and although everyone says if you don't eat meat you don't get enough protien, it is generally not true, we eat way to much protien, all you have to do is eat more nuts to avoid lack of protien, and try protein shakes b4 nd after workouts coz they r sposed 2 b really good!! I'm not trying to make you become vegetarian, because i'm not veggie at the moment(if i did i'd end up vegan!) its just sposed to b good 4 u so i just thought why not try semi vegetarian, or just cutout red meats, because red meats are sposed to b the worst 4 u!!
I also thought that snacks are good because it starts up your metabolism which makes you burn more because your bodies instant idea when you eat something is to start burning calories! but you have to makesure to keep snacks small and try eating only fruit, veg, nuts, granola bars, yougurt, etc. only heathy things, there is no point cutting out carbs, you just need to eat the right type coz fruit nd vedg contaiins carbs, so maby try eating wholemeal bred instead of white because it is better 4 u, just simple changes make a big difference.
Thats all the ideas i have @ the moment i will post more once i've done some thinking!!
OH yer i 4got try eating tofu its supossed to b realy good replacement 4 meat coz it contains lots of protien!!! and try veggie burgers YUM!!
Oh yer i remember another one eat realy slowly, coz sometimes you just eat when u r not hungry but don't know it it takes your body like 20mins untill u realise your not hungry any more (ok that was really badly worded) so sometimes you eat when your not hungry coz ur body still thinks you are hungry! and sometimes you are thirsty not hungry so always drink a glass of water b4 eating!!

My B-day is not until spring, but I need the challenge!
And most of all the support. I've always been the girl who says she will lose weight, but I really need to this time. And I will not tell people I know that I'm trying to. It just gets me more discouraged that they don't believe that I will lose weight.... :/

LOL -- my 32 bday is the 6th of April, so this is perfect. Not sure I can really lose 15, but I am up for trying.... I would be stoked to stay under 150 once I get there!

I'm a new member (and a long time lurker) and have decided I have had enough with my extremely unhealthy lifestyle.
I'm 28, 6'2" and weight about 320lbs. It's time for a change.
This three month challenge sounds like a great start to the new kind of lifestyle I want to lead.

I am also a long-time lurker here on CC. I'd like to join the challenge too - we are planning a trip to Hawaii in July, so I have plenty of motivation.
Starting weight - 170lbs (wow, that was a shock)
Goal - 145 (5'8" tall)
Ugh. So, I did the dreaded weigh in. Much worse than I thought.

That means from October 22 until now I have gained 14 lbs. And the sad part, is that nothing can be blamed on sodium. I've burned 5,500 calories in the past 10 days, and I've been eating clean that whole time. That means I was likely well above 140 after Christmas.
I suck.
My goal is still 10 in 3 months. 15 is too aggressive, I can only do 1 lb per week.
Looks like it is going to take me until the end of April to get back to where I was, and right up until I leave to get to my goal.

I would love to participate! My b/f surprised me with a trip to Spain (!!) in mid-March. So I have a little over two months to go before that and I'd like to lose some weight before then...I'm scared to weigh myself, I must admit. But I will do it at the gym today to get a starting point....
