42 Day Challenge - Starting June 9th!
Hey guys!
As of June 9th, I will have finished my second "30 day club" and I wanted to do one more big challenge/motivational game before I cease organizing and return to joining.
Why 42? Because I like Monday and Thursday weigh ins, and this way, we end on a Monday... And by doing it this way, I will have done this for more than 100 days. Plus, this puts the dreaded July 4th holiday smack dab in the middle, so even if we hit a bump, we've got a couple weeks to buffer it once we're done.
(And on a personal note, I go into production on July 22nd - which means my challenges get different - I have to figure out how to keep on track when I'll be spending ten hours a day in a room with other writers, and surrounded by sunchips and candy bars.)
So!
Starting June 9th, 2008 and going through July 22nd, 2008!
First weigh in: Monday June 9th, second weigh in Thursday June 12th and we just keep going until the 22nd of July! Who's in?

P.S. I will be doing my measuring via the Nintendo Wii Fit so, there will probably be a blunt drop in my weight between the two forums. But as of June 9, that's my scale (unless I'm out of town, then I'll do the best I can.)

Goals:
1) weigh 185, and
2) do my running/gym routine as planned (in my journal) with the exception of this week (due to a strange work schedule) and the last week in June (when I'll be camping)
Here we go again! During the last challenge I made it to a healthy BMI(toot toot) now I'm trying to get to the middle range or a healthy weight for my build.
My goal this time is 7.4 lbs Which will put me at 135 and with in 10 lbs of my goal. It is still very hard for me to think of myself weighing less than 150. I felt the opposite before and didn't think I weighed over that even when I was up to 190.(until I saw pictures, so I have very few)

i've been set back a little lately because may/june has been full of birthdays and graduation festivities.
my biggest struggle will be the fact that i just turned 21 so a lot of people want to go out to the bars...

Gotta love this group - thanks for continue doing this. Since May was really bad for me, I intend to do better this time because I really want to look great in my wedding dress! (I already bought the exactly same kind of dress like in my icon above)

&nb sp; Welcome to the last challenge I plan on doing for a while. I’m actually close to where I want to be… and I don’t want to become one of those manorexic dudes. But… everybody here in this group that was in the previous two… you have been great.
&nb sp; Great friends. Great motivators.
&nb sp; Backstory: The weekend before I joined this place, I ended up in the hospital for something stupid. Stupid, but scary. “You’re 40 now, idiot!” scary. So… I got out on a Sunday, joined this place, got a trainer, joined a gym and got to work.
&nb sp; I was part of a forum for a month, then start a couple of short burst forums that were more about maintaining good habits than they were trying to lose weight. For me, at least, I lost more that way. Funny.
Here’s how it broke down for me:
Starting CC weight on 3/16: &nbs p; &nb sp; 215.0 lbs
30 day sprint starting April 14: &nb sp; 203.5 – 195.0 lbs
30 day sprint starting May 12: 195.0 – 187.0 lbs

This place works. As annoyed with myself as I was at where I was on 3/16, I’m thrilled to be who I am on 6/9. And that’s this place, these forums, you guys.
So… now, I’ll be moving over to my scale on the Wii Fit, as that’s the one I’ll be hitting on a day to day basis. I believe it to be more accurate, and it will also force me to exercise in my house as well.
For those of you who don't know - we measure on Mondays and Thursdays, usually in the morning. I'll be in Hawaii next Monday (HA!) but the good news is, I'll also be eating nothing but fish.
Starting weight June 9th: 181.9 lbs / BMI (allegedly) 24.11
Goal weight for 42 days: 175.0 lbs.

This sounds like a great challenge. I'd like to lose 9-12 lbs. I am currently at 200 lbs (although no one believes me when I say that!). My long term goal is to lose 60 lbs, by May 2009, which is a long time from now, so a short term goal sounds great.

My starting weight is 162
and my goal is to be at 150.
I want to lose 12 lbs that's about 2 lbs a week.
Right now I do Power90 four times a week and walk on my treadmill those same days and rest twice a week. Hopefully, I won't have to bump up my workout that much.
My long term goal is 135 by Jan 1, 2009.
I am so happy to join this challenge to help me get there.
It's Monday, like you all didn't know.. LOL... I feel so blessed to be around you all. My first Challenge with Marmel was the best. I lost 6 pounds.. Anyway... I'm going to lay out all the stats today... Look out for the new head shot. I got some new stuff to show off. I feel so great about it. March 2007, I was 226, and now look at me.... I am 159 as of this morning.. ME! 159. No NUMBERS behind that point. I'm so happy....This 42 day challenge is going to get me to where I want to be..

OK. Happy Monday Everyone. My starting weight is 141. My goal weight by the end of the 42 days is 130. It'll be tough b/c I have a wedding next weekend and a family reunion the weekend after that. Wish me luck. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I have never joined a challenge and hopefully it will be the motivation I need to avoid a dreaded plateau.
June 9th weight - 223 Goal weight loss - 12 lbs or 2 lbs a week
I also vow to continue my 5x/week workouts increasing the intensity and not use my car in town, saving fuel and burning calories at the same time! Well good luck everyone!

I am ok with that number... and a little proud of myself.. went to a Chinese buffet and did not eat the place clean stuck to chicken skewers, broccoli and steamed green beans!

Welcome to everybody. This is the third challenge I've been with marmel. He's great!
I seemed to have plateaued in a big way. I think I've just gotten too complacent about it.
Anyway, here are my stats:
5'3" (on a good day, lol)
SW: 136 (September 07)
CW: 124
GW: 118, that's a pound a week.
I am excited because I just received my new walking shoes, so now i can do some "serious" damage...although I wonder if I'm not walking vigorously enough. I just started doing 4 miles, and I come in at around 17.5 minutes a mile. I do get slightly elevated and sweaty, so I think I'm doing fine. (I don't have a bp monitor at the moment.)
