change in guidelines

I noticed that the guidelines for how much I can eat to maintain my weight have changed.  I had previously set my activity level to sedentary and added in my exercise, which brought me to a total of a little less than 1750 for weight maintenance.  To lose weight I ate around 1250, now I want to maintain, but it is telling me that I only burn 1600 calories a day with an hour of cardio exercise and if I'm sedentary I can maintain on 1340.  Do you think that this is an accurate assumption....that seems like an awfully low amount of calories to maintain on, even for a petite girl.

Any opinions or recommendations on what I should start to eat for maintenance would be greatly appreciated.  I was ready for that 1750, and I'm kind of upset that the calorie count has lowered :(

I am 5 feet tall, 22  years old, small frame, and weigh around 95 pounds

I do 5 days a week of cardio exercise usually for around 50 minutes to an hour, either doing the elliptical at light to moderate effort, or jogging at a pace of 5.2 mph.  The rest of the time I am pretty sedentary, as I am in class or studying, or at a computer.  I do not have an active job, it involves mostly sitting.

thanks in advance for any comments!

Does anyone that has been maintaining have any thoughts on the new guidelines?

Are you maintaining more around what CC used to tell you to maintain on, or is it more like the new lower numbers?
