How to change weight without entering all details again?

Quote  |  Reply

So, I have tagged items. One of which is "Ham".

I've entered details (protein, fat ...) for this ham when I've added it once.

Now I want to add same ham, to a new day log, but with different weight.

When I add it, the dialog displayed allows me to switch between Per Serving / Per 100g, but when I move cursor to weight, "Per Serving" is selected automatically.

And after that, when I want to change the weight, components are not automaitcally adjusted, so I have to enter this food as a new food any way.

Is there a way to enter details once and in future just add tagged food by only selecting weight?!

Thanks in advance!

When you click your tag item instead of clicking the plus sign, click the name of the item, then to the left of the tagged items click the name again and the calorie content will come up for that item, click add to food log then fill in the new weight or oz then click add to food log. This is probably the easiest way that I know of. I hope I helped.

No, that doesn't work for me.  I actually just posted the same question, and haven't found an answer to it yet.

And apparently (I'm guessing from some other posts), you used to be able to enter in the details for 100g, which then allowed you to change the weight each time you added it, but that feature has recently disappeared.

Perhaps we should email calorie count a suggestion as far as this - hopefully one is already in the works.

tntsdad, step 2 is not clear. After details appear, where do I click?

I would like to see this fixed, too.  I've begun entering part portions (the minimum I'd likely use) and adding multiples.

I'd like to see this feature added as well. I tend to eat the same foods on a regular basis including several CC recipes however unless I eat the set serving I either have to 1) enter multiple times and/or 2) convert all the numbers to the new serving size.

I'd love to be able to enter my custom recipes/foods with the weight and nutrition info and then be able to adjust the weights like I can on most of the foods in the database and have the new nutrition values figured for me.

I have started tagging each serving size after I make the conversions but that gets confusing when you have 3 or 4 of the same food tagged with just different weights/nutrition info.

It works now.

You can select a previously added food, then switch to "Per 100g", then type new weight and switch back to "Per serving".

Thanks!

That's exactly what I wanted!  Yay!  Thanks for posting. :)
