Changing my status to preggo
I want to use CC to track the amount of calories and nutrients I'm taking in to keep myself any my baby healthy, but I'm can't figure out how to set my account to gain weight (only gives me the option of lose or maintain that I see). I'd like to set my burn meter to reflect that I'm pregnate just so I don't gain too much too quickly or not enough. I could have swore I saw an option to do these things when I was trying to lose weight, but now I can't remember where. Can someone tell me?
I think it's in the part where you put if you have any kind of illness o "special condition"..like a pregnancy or if you're breastfeeding. I don't know if I'm right, but I've heard that you should "add" 300 cal more (per baby) to what you're eating to mantain...
Anyways, congratulations on the baby and good luck =)
CC doesn't have that option. :( You can check the box on your profile about pregnancy/lactation, but it doesn't do anything to your calculator. Checking any of those conditions is just saying that you're interested in those topics. This calculator might help, though.
Congrats!
Someone suggested before, but can't find post.... set your weight goal at the average amount of weight you will probably gain being pregnant (?25-35lbs) instead of what your non-pregnant goal is. Then the calorie coach will tell you how much you have gained since your pregnancy started and the graph will represent that for you. Then change your daily calorie goal to a safe number for pregnancy(Can discuss with doc). People often say increase by 300, but I just changed mine to 2000 a day and used as a rough guideline. It would probably be too risky for this type of site to set a concrete number for pregnant women as there are so many factors to consider individually......
Hope this helps you a little and all the best.
I can't say from experience but I found this link:

I hope it's helpful and congrats I hope the best for you and your baby!
Hmm...I don't know where I thought I saw the option then. Thanks for the help and thank you for the congrats. My DH and I are so excited!
