Channa Dal Homemade Recipe

Indian garbanzo bean recipe, very plain.

Ingredients
1 onion
2 tomatoes
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp garlic
1 tbsp ginger
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
2 Jalapeno peppers
1 clove, whole
1 cup Chickpeas
Directions
  1. fry the onion with oil

  2. add salt

  3. later add cumin, ginger, garlic, cloves, peppers and cayenne

  4. let it cook for about 6 minutes

  5. add chopped tomatoes

  6. let it simmer for about 10 mintues

  7. in a separate pot, cook soaked garbanzo beans. When they are almost soft enough add with sauce in pan
