The chat in which a question of extreme importance is asked and debated
Which decade had the absolute best music? Was it the jazz eras of the 20s and 30s? Was it early rock and roll of the 50s? Classic Rock of the 70s? New Wave in the 80s? Alternative in the 90s?
This question is of extreme important, so you MUST answer ;)
Also, howdy all!

Minbin,
That nice man was ready to settle and you tore him a new one!
Shame on you

He a) bent my car, its now unsellable. Low milage, great condition but now with a weakend tail end. b) gave my whiplash
He only wanted to settle so he didn't have to pay the £250 excess for his company's insurance. He should have been paying attention.

OOh yes i have 3 years no claims this year!! Woo 50% off my insurance!
I was in the "high risk" insurance for a while
all due to speeding.
almost 20 years of speeding and they still think it's risky?
sounds like a money grab to me!

I'm in the high risk group for my age, i'm less high risk now i've been driving 2 years (officially) though. But until i hit 25 i'm high risk.
My car falls in to "sports car" though technically haha, but i've got specialist insurance on it... even covers my spare parts at home!

But it's just BS statistics.
In my books, you are going to be more complacant as time goes on, and you will be a worse driver. Below 25 your reflexes, and your bond with 'the force' is much stronger.

Apparently people feel safe with me driving. I think a lot of that is the fact i always check my car over each week (tyres, oil, water, general wear and tear) and when i drive i'm always looking around me to see what the other idiots are doing.
I try to drive at ludicrus speed.
that way i am always hanging on at wits end and paying attention to everything.
Plus you are more stable at high speeds. Look at the murdercycle, if you go too slow you will fall down!

minbin sounds like a much better driver than me.
*wonders idly how to check the "water," decides it can't be very important since the truck still runs*

Yup. I like to drive fast, when it is appropiate (not around residential areas for example). I like the go-kart handling of my car, makes it feel really fast. I like that it has no suspension so i can throw it around without it bouncing all over
No i just spent over £1100 getting my car road worthy so i keep an eye on everything as not to spend that again!
I'm constantly spending money on my truck and it always seems to be just barely roadworthy. Every trip to the shop sets me back $300-400. So I just delay taking it in. :-/
Maybe it's time to get a new truck? What sort of things go wrong on it?
You need a new hubby....
hubbies are supposed to 'fix' things to save money.
"if you can't find them handsome, you should at least find them handy!"

I've got gorgeous and handy. All i need is for him to learn to weld... then he could do everything i need him to
Well, the latest thing is the CV boots. They went bad about 3 years ago and it set me back $400 to have the mechanic take apart the axles, repack them and put on new boots. Now they are bad again. Funny nobody notices these things BEFORE they go bad, when it would cost a lot less to fix.
Also, it's got this weird electric hub-locking system for the 4WD that doesn't work well anymore. I would be driving down the highway and the hubs would start to slip and grind. Bad news. I took it to a couple of different mechanics and none of them could figure out what was going wrong with it. So I just leave the hubs locked in all the time now ... been driving it like that for, oh, probably about 5 years.
And I think my clutch is about to go out.
Yes, it's time for a new truck!!

Whew! Thank god I got handsome! ;-)
I had to have new CV joints (yup the whole thing) picked up the parts for £40 and hubby did it :D He's done the head gaskets on 3 of my cars now, saved like £300 each time.
Maybe if i buy him a weld set he'll learn.. hmm...
OOHHH its my wedding anniversary a week saturday!!
