My cousin had a baby last Friday!  :-)  I think that makes these babies our ... ummm ... second cousins?

I was never very good at that ... all the seconds and thirds and removed stuff.  :-)

I'm reluctantly in the market for a new mower.  My self propelled walk behind hasn't propelled itself for a while now and Monday evening when I was mowing one of the wheels was locking up making the mower even harder to push.  Since it takes me an hour and a half to mow I need something that will work with me, not against me.

I have a very small back yard with spots of grass. The weed-waker is all I need. One day I'm going to do something with the yard. But its at the bottom of the list.

 If eriq is your second cousin, then his baby is your second cousin once removed, but... close enough for family I guess   :D

aww - nebraska is a flat one in the middle - my least favorite

 

I have about 12 older cousins and all of their kids just call me auntie ;)  I can't keep that once-removed, second cousin stuff straight either.

I have lots of cousins once or twice removed

only two half-cousins with no removal

but none of us call each other anything than our names

the removal just signifies whether or not you're at the same generational 'level' on the family tree

No, no Eriq is my first cousin.  My mom's sister's son.  So his kid is my first cousin once removed.  However, Bart is my Dad's cousin Dan's son.  He'd be my second cousin?

I live in a small town where everyone is related to everyone else but none of them are related to me, with the exception of my father and my brother's family.  But I do have some step-siblings that are related to everyone in the county.
