I remember feeling just.. dead to the world when I found out my mom had passed in the hospital. I got the call at 2:30 in the morning and.. I just.. turned off. I went through the motions, but didn't really get WITH it until later on that week. My now-wife was the one who kept me going.

At least I got all of us kids there in time to see Dad at least "one more time."

I hear my daughter upstairs...she just woke up. I had phoned her just before we removed the life sustaining drugs so she knew the rough road that I was heading down.

Go be with your daughter, Buggy. She may need your support. Heck, you may need hers.

I'm realizing life is precious. You go along and don't really think about it.

Kim, I understand if you're worried yourself and I don't blame you. How long until you can find out whether your own masses might be benign or not?

I'm not going to bother her too much....she has school to go to today & I don't want her worrying about me. She is very protective. I'll inform my employer in the next 1/2 hour. My Auntie has already been informed so she will take care of me today. I had actually inquied about internet access at the hospital because I was going to bring my lap top so that I coud have kept in contact with everyone here while I was there.

I don't know. I'm going to call the doctors this morning. I have to find out about getting pre-approval for the CT scan. I was guessing that they were rushing the results and would have them Friday when I go to see the doctor. Now that I'm more with it I'm realizing I didn't ask any questions.

I'm sure you can call and ask whatever questions you need to ask. Or at least find our if you can bring them all in with you Friday.
