My neighbor is in pretty good shape and says that so she doesn't feel like she's cheating herself she gives herself a cheat day. Well, really she does Fri night-Sunday afternoon cheat days.
Does anyone here do a cheat day at all? A day you can eat whatever you want within reason?
Hiya :)
Yes, i have one cheat day each week where i let myself go over my calories by up to 600! I find that this way i dont feel deprived and i dont then go and binge. Also, having a cheat day helps prevent plateaus as your body doesnt get used to a set amount of calories 7 days a week :) so far i've lost 20lbs and i've had one cheat day a week, so for me it's definately working!
Yeah i find that if i dont do that then i just forget about counting the calories in my food that entire day and i eat thousands! It just helps me to still set a limit, just one that's a little higher :)
I love it and used the same thing today, only went 250 over but feel like I allowed myself to enjoy today.....and that enjoyment was chocolate chips cookies :0)

Cheat days are like congratulating yourself for a job well done. When you have stayed on track and course for 6 days, the 7th day is like you have won a gold medal for achieving all of your goals. So cheat on sista.. Jus make sure that you get yourself back on track.. LOL
My question about this is "Do you usually have your cheat day on the same day every week?"
I don't want to throw my rules out the window for the whole weekend, because I know I'll get really off track and discouraged if I do. I was thinking that I could have a sat cheat day one weekend, a sunday afternoon cheat brunch the next, a friday night cheat night out the next, etc etc. Is that still safe?
