1 Cheat Day** Stuck at 170 lbs
For the past 2 months I have been on a rollercoaster, gained lost etc.. But I havent gotten below 170 lbs. I cant imagine staying at this weight. My goal weight is 140 lbs. I think I figured it out. I am giving myself a cheat day almost every week and I am not having physical activity. So please any one and everyone tell me something, anything give me so motivation. 1st I want to know how often do you have a cheat day? Should I even have one? And if so what can I eat on that day? And how do I get off my lazy butt and stat doing some exercise??? I just feel so restricted at this point like I have been eating diet food forever and like I am missing out by not eating out or eating the grease stuff. I can honestly say giving myself that cheat day is ruining my weight loss. How dumb am I? Do wonderful the whole week and knowingly mess up my efforts in one day? Please help! What can I do to not feel so deprived?

i don't have a "cheat day," but i imagine it could seriously derail you. maybe cut back to every second week, with the goal of phasing it out altogether? and if you're feeling deprived, maybe you need to ease up a little the rest of the week. i mean, if you give up your cheat day, you should be able to afford to give yourself a treat most other days (i often have three hershey kisses after dinner - only 70 cals).
How about just one cheat meal each week? That way you still get a chance to indulge, but it won't have such a negative affect on your weight loss.
I agree with samurailynn, this is what I do. Once a week, usully on sunday, I give my self one meal and eat what ever I want. This helps with the cravings and the feeling deprived.
I have a cheat day! It took me about 2 years to lose 105 pounds and I couldn't have done it by completely depriving myself of those little treats. One night a week - I made it Fridays - I would allow myself to have something.....shall we say, naughty? Taco Bell, or a Totinos pizza, or maybe some french fries... or salt & vinegar chips (YUM). Just one meal; one evening; one calorie fest, and it didn't derail me. It is something I look forward to! It works for me.... I hope it works for you as well. :) Kris
