Recipe Ingredients for Cheddar and Green Apple Omelet
| 4 | large eggs |
| 2 | tsp. water |
| 1/4 | tsp. salt |
| 1/4 | tsp. freshly ground black pepper |
| 1 | tbsp. butter or margarine |
Apple Filling: |

| 1 | medium apple, peeled, cored and thinly sliced |
| 1 | tbsp. light or dark brown sugar |
| 1/4 | tsp. ground cinnamon |
| 1 | pinch grated nutmeg |
| 1/4 | cup shredded cheddar cheese |
Recipe Directions for Cheddar and Green Apple Omelet
- Apple Filling: In a medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apple and cook, stirring often for 5 minutes or until tender. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well blended. Remove skillet from heat.
- In a small bowl, beat eggs, water, salt, and pepper. Heat butter in an 8 to 10-inch omelet pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Pour in eggs. Swirl pan to distribute eggs evenly over the surface. Cook, without stirring, for 10 seconds, until bottom and edges begin to set.
- As the bottom begins to set, lift the cooked portion of the omelet with spatula to let the uncooked egg mixture flow under it. Repeat until most of the omelet is set, but the center is still moist and creamy.
- Spoon apple filling over 1/2 of the omelet and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Fold remaining half over the filling and cook until the filling is heated through and the cheese has melted. Slide omelet onto a plate and serve immediately.
