I just got reemed out ...   REEMED OUT by someone when I told her I gave Julia some cheese-  why?  She'll be a year old soon.  She took it just fine.  It was regular mozzerella that you buy in the store.  She loved it!  And was in very tiny pieces.

o pooh on them. My daughter LOOOOOVED cheese as a lil baby (well, not TOO lil). I think maybe ppl think it's bad cuz it can cause constipation? Well, if the kids get enough green veggies then that won't happen!

Ugh, I'd smack that person.....who give them the right to parent YOU on parenting YOUR child?

ugh.

she loves to eat.  and she eats veggies and fruit all the time.  just wanted to give her something different!  She has lots of teeth so she can chew really well.  I made her sauce (my own) with some small pastas and she took it well.  Ate it right up!!  I was very excited.

i kinda just shook my head at that woman and told her that so far, her digestive track, is working just fine!!!

and she's on the go and grow milk based formula already (and took that change well too.)

what can I say?  she's just super.

Sorry for the late response but I had to comment.

John eats cheese and yogurt and he's 10 months old. I thought it was okay for babies to have these two things after 9 months of age. I've been giving him shredded Monterrey-jack cheese that he can't get enough of. He's a little indifferent when it comes to the yogurt. He also eats whole grain pasta, whole grain toast and whole grain waffles. Oh, and homemade enchiladas. Surprised

He's as regular as can be! I was hesitant to start the milk-based things simply because my husband is lactose intolerant but it looks like John won't have any issues!

I seriously can't get over how freaking cute Julia is.

I feed my 11 month old yogurt and cheese.  From what I understand, it is fine for babies at that age to have pasteurized, soft cheeses and yogurt, but no cow's milk.  Our pediatrician okayed my son to have milk at 12 months, so I'll do the same for my daughter next month.

Here's a link I've relied on for feeding info:http://www.babycenter.com/0_age-by-age-guide- to-feeding-your-baby_1400680.bc
