chest bone cramp
You might have costochondritis. I have had it for three months(still going strong) and it sucks.
My symptoms were pain down the left side of my chest, and between my 4 and 6th ribs. It isn't harmful, just painful. Apparently no one really knows how it comes about, but do go to the doctor.
I wouldn't suggest taking antinflamatorys before you get it checked out. My doctor put me on Celebrex and it did nothing. I was then put on pain killers.
It might not be that at all though. So don't start treating yourself until your absoloutly sure.
Ah... Or you could have pulled a muscle or over worked your pecks...
I had to do a TON of sit ups once and in the shower I reached up and tweeked that muscle... OUCH it was like someone stabbed me rightin the center of the chest! It one hurt when I moved in certain ways and went away after a couple of days... I hope that is all you did!
I feel like people recommend doctors too much. I agree if something persists for a long period or is so painful it is unbearable to get it checked out. But, a big reason health care is so astronomical is the "unnecessary" use of doctors for every little pain. We have become a world of hypochondriacs! Sorry, I digress, just a little venting!
If you worked out strenuously and this is not something that has persisted why don't you give it a few days of rest and see how it is. I've gotten that exact feeling before and it's just been overuse and gone away in a few days.
