When will my chest fat stop showing through my shirt?

Quote  |  Reply

i went from 210 lbs to 160 lbs. my goal is 132. i'm 5'9". my bmi went from 31.8 to 23.6. I look a lot thinner now, but u can still see my chest fat through my shirt. It really embarrasses me and i want it to go away. Is there a certain weight or bmi that it will stop showing? And no i dont have gyno. Thanks people ;)

it's probably not going to go away unless you exercise. it's very possible to be super skinny but still  have pudgy squish. so it wont go away at a certain bmi, you have to weight train

i go to the gym every monday and wednesday. i guess i'll do more chest workouts. thanks :)

other, more qualified people should weigh in, but I am not sure I agree with darky.  First of all, if you are running a calorie deficit you cannot build muscle, even in your chest, you can only reduce the amount of muscle consumed for energy.  Second, your BMI is still high enough that your chest fat is still there.  Technically if you were 5 percent body fat you would not have "chest fat", you would be skin stetched over muscle/bone, so if you continue to your target its my guess you will see the change you are looking for.

BTW keep up the good work, 50 pounds lost is WOW

Well first of all congrats on the weight loss!  Sealed     And second I would tend to agree with toning the area you need toned.  You can do all the cardio in the world but it won't tone certain areas.  I have to say that I love doing kickboxing classes and I feel it in my waist and upper part of my body with the excercises I do in the class.    Hopefully some trainers will pipe in and give you some advise too.
