ok... i'm scared about today... it's my mom's birthday so of course she didn't want to cook, so we got Chinese. I ate the sweet and sour chickn (about 15 pieces if you want to know... I couldn't stop myself!) and about 1 cup of vegetable fried rice and 2 fortune cookies... how many calories does that have roughly does anyone know?

Fortune cookies = not so bad, like 35 cals each or something
Err, everything else....
Err, everything else....
oh fried rice is evil -- next time go with white rice
no clue on calories because it depend on portion size -- when I order from the local chinease place I know that there are really three to four portion per container -- so it ussually takes me several day to eat it --
in the past I used to eat the whole thing in one sitting -- I really wanted chinease tonight so I am a little jealous -- instead I made mac n cheese

Okay, since I'm Chinese, based on the way my mom would have made these foods:
fried rice= 135 calories for the rice, add in 25-40 calories for the vegetables, then add in 40-80 calories for the oil.
yeah, I'd say 35 calories per fortune cookie sounds right.
Sweet and sour chicken= How big were the pieces? I'd guess you probably ate 140-240 calories worth of chicken (the first being close to a half cup of pieces, the second being closer to a whole cup) and then tack on 80-120 calories for the oil, add maybe 20 or under calories for miscellaneous vegetables, and then 60-120 calories for the sauce, depending on how much.
OR, you can think that a Michelina's frozen dinner of sweet and sour chicken is 310 calories, and compare what you had with about that serving size.

swim, you know how to use the food search tool and google right? they may be able to give you a little more specific answers, and that way you won't have to wait for people to answer your post.
thanks guys! yea, i know fried rice is bad but I can't help myself... I don't like white rice and the veggie fried rice and sweet and sour chicken are the only 2 things I like that i've tried so far! haha
