How Much Chocolate Do You Consume?

Quote  |  Reply
Is 2.5 ounces of chocolate in 2 hours too much?

I ate 2 mini Snickers, a pack of fun size M&M's and a mini Reese's Fast Break between 11 PM and 1 AM.

Honestly, I try not to eat any chocolate, and if I do, I only have 2 Hershey Kisses. Chocolate is carbs and fat with no value. My idea of a treat is 1 or 2 tablespoons of peanut butter on light bread for lunch, instead of something dull like yogurt or rice and beans. Chocolate is really lacking in nutritional value. I don't believe that by giving up treats and being so restrictive it will just make me go crazy and pig out--I restrict, and when I "go crazy" and eat extra, it's something like having one slice of pizza for dinner. I believe in going all-in on a lifestyle change. Treats don't come until the weight comes off.

This is the weight gain board.  Everyone on this board is trying to gain weight.  I would like to get back up to 100 pounds.
it depends...if you feel a bit dehydrated after then it's usually a good idea to eat something 'proper' (haha) like a sandwich. But since they are fun sized that seems ok. When I was gaining i used to freak out a bit over desserts and not have them, but now I'm back to normal and eat whatever i like, but hopefully in a controlled way. I don't eat chocolate all that much, but it's a luxury, especially dark truffles and posh chocs :):) or brownies.

See, it's good :)

I don't eat chocolate now (I can't stand the taste) but when I have treats it's always the best quality I can afford.

Also my mum is in the habit of having 2 chocolates, usually after 8s, after dinner. She says this puts a stop to her cravings.

What you ate doesn't sound like too much to me though! A nice mixed treat instead of one big one that you get bored half way through...

Good luck with your gain Laughing

hey-mm, deff not too much!

Most days I have about a half ounce of dark chocolate. It fits into my calories and makes me feel satisfied. If you are cinsuming large amounts of calories, though, then as long as the sweets are 20% of your daily alories or below, you should be fine as long as you don't have immediate health problems (diabetes, ect)

I eat a 10 pack of those snack size butterfingers in about 3 days. Hooray for the 99 cent store. I didn't even realize this was in a weight gain forum. I havent gained any weight with eating chocolate, and I've been doing most of this year now. If anything, I'm losing weight cus of the intense skateboarding I do everyday.

I gotta say though; chocolate was the only thing I was not able to give up when I was actually worrying about what I ate.

If you want to gain, then 2.5 ounces of chocolate is practically nothing.

I sometimes eat a few hershey's kisses throughout the day, they seem to satisfy my chocolatey craving. :)

This girl that I work with ate a 2 bags of hershey's kisses in 3 days!!!! No wonder she's gained weight! She was like "ever since I started this job I 've gained like ten pounds"! She also ate an entire bag of kettle korn each day!!

NOT A LOT!!! lol

TOO MUCH!!!

Prinze- I understand that you may be wanting to gain weight. But eating junk candy is not how you should do it. It is very unhealthy for you!

Go for dark chocolate, or chocolate with nuts in it. The high sugar content is bad, so you should still watch your intake no matter what.

Most people automatically assume that when they need to gain weight, they can eat WHATEVER they want. That is true in some sense... but that is also how we get diabetes and heart disease.

Just be reasonable.

i can eat my own bodyweight in chocolate and still want more belive me
