chocolate cravings

My favorite ways to satisfy a chocolate craving with low calorie foods are...

1.  viactiv chocolate calcium supplement.  It's 20 calories, tastes good and has 500 mg calcium as well as other vitamins

2.  This one I just discovered yesterday:  dark chocolate covered altoids.  They have 7.5 calories for each chocolate and they taste soooo good!

3.  1 single hershey's kiss can be very satisfying.  It only has 25 calories per kiss, and it comes in lots of yummy flavors (dark chocolate, milk chocolate, with almonds, coffee (only 22 calories).

4.  CocoaVia Bars (100 calories, good for your heart--antioxidants, flavenoids, blah blah blah)

So what do you eat for your chocolate fix?

I love Hersey's special dark chocolate kisses, but they make a coffee one?!?!?!

1 square of Ghirardelli Twilight 72% cacao dark chocolate. It's actually good for you AND tasty!

A square or two of really classy, highly flavourful dark chocolate. I like to find exotic flavour combos, like espresso & lemon or chai spiced.

These vegan muffins provided a good alternative to chocolate cake. They have ~150 cals each & taste quite good, especially if you add some milk chocolate chips!

  • jell-o sugar free chocolate pudding cups
  • sugar free chocolate syrup on anything lol
  • edy's or bryer's slow churned ice creams with some sort of chocolate in them
  • chocolate rice cakes
  • little debbie's 100 calorie chocolate frosted cakes

Semi-sweet chocolate bits - I'd count out 10 or 20, put them in a little bowl, and put the bag away, before eating them one by one.

Fibre One Bars. Really chewy, really yummy, 140 cals and 5g's fibre.

I have 2 squares of 85% lindt dark chocolate, or a 100 cal breyer's ice-cream sandwich..

the new dark chocolate coconut kashi bars. 120 calories. leaves you satisfied with good whole grains and fiber (4g) included. i dont experience a sugar crash after either, which is great.

their pumpkin pie one is delish too. no chocolate though.

I found a gem at a Health Food store. The company is called "Nutritious Creations" they have a website too... I was so happy to find a BIG low-fat chocolate chip cookie for ONLY 150 calories.

They also have these "hybrid cookies" called Cookie Chips. They are like rice cakes with chocolate drizzle (Rocky Road is my FAV).. the WHOLE BAG is a serving and 150 calories! Can't beat that!

I love chocolate so much, but my biggest problem is enjoying my food. I devour a whole bar in 2 minutes...I can't even enjoy a sucker...I bite it immediately....and a full meal, I am in and out of a resturant bill paid and all within 10 minutes. Anyone else have this problem.

adora dark chocolate calcium suppliments! and tofutti fudge bars... these are delicious and vegan and 30 calories! i am on a weight gain diet right now but these are still my #1 favourite.

I would eat chocolate with every meal if I could. Smile I have a cheat meal once a week and it includes desert. I don't eat it any other time. If I have it in the house I cannot resist. My cheat meal is takeout so when it is gone it is gone. Nothing left of the desert until the next time. Brownies and toll house cookie bars are my favorite.

dagoba dark chocolate bars are heaven. They're high-cal if you eat the whole bar, but each one has 10 mini-sticks inside (like a kit-kat but a little smaller). Two sticks, if you take small bites and let the chocolate melt on your tongue, is incredibly satisfying! I also love the Endangered Species' Dark Chocolate with Deep Forest Mint bars. Again, just eat a few squares, let it melt, and you're good!

I normally stick with chocolate that's between 70-85% cacao... Its a bit more expensive, for the good stuff, but eating three squares of it is so rich delicious and satisfying... You could eat a whole hershey's bar and not feel as satisfied as you do after eating three squares of good quality dark chocolate.

I love the hersheys Bliss dark chocolate they come individually wraped and a serving of 3 has only 100 calories.  It takes me about 15min to eat as I let each one melt slowly.  This is a treat I enjoy every night at only 100 calories I can fit it in to my 1600 cal budget :)

Chocolate chips!  I just measure out one tablespoon, and enjoy!

I have been starting to eat the Fiber One bars, but they aren't as good.

I'm the same!

I spent 9 dollars on a bar of chocolate the other day.  It had Goji berries a pink salt in it.  I had a square or two a day and it was sooooooooooo worth it.

Eating a 75 cal square of Ghiradelli dark mocha flavored right now.

Last one.  Need to find more.

Any other Pocky stick addicts?  They make at least 2 kinds of chocolate, one really intense.

I love pocky. I actually have a shipment coming next week! The best chocolate one (IMO) is mens' pocky. Even though you have to deal with "but you're not a man, har har har!" every time you eat it publicly, the dark chocolate is worth it!

carnation light hot chocolate; 45 calories per pouch and sooo good!

Yeah, Mens Pocky was the best one - in a green box if I remember right.  The only place I've ever found them was at a mall store that sold Hello Kitty and plastic space monsters in addition to every flavor of Pocky.
